Proof that Pinterest Ranks in the Google SERPS!

Hi Wa Friends!
Just a short post to demonstrate that Pinterest ranks in the Google SERPS when your blog post doesn't.
The Backstory
My blog post for the keyword "Is A Jazzmaster Good For Beginners" used to rank at the top of page one in the Google SERPS. It disappeared shortly after Google began its series of updates, beginning with its Helpful Content Update. Following this, my MOZ DA fell from 26 to 19.
Although my blog post for that keyword is still killing it on Bing, Yahoo, and Duck Duck Go, those are low-traffic search engines compared to Google. Still, every little bit helps.
Pinterest to the Rescue!
I started using AI automation to be very active on Pinterest back in December and the results are starting to show up in the Google SERPS!
Check out the results in Google's (beta) Search Generative Experience (SGE) for that keyword:
Yes, it is between Reddit and Quora results, which are not even worth reading (come on, Google), but it is there!
Now, going farther down on page one in an incognito window, just under People Also Ask, look what shows up:
Yup, my Pinterest pin for this article showed up again on page one, even though that useless Reddit link showed up above the People Also Ask!
The Take Home Lesson
Google is clearly favoring high domain authority sites like Reddit, Quora, and affiliate marketing posts in their search results, some with thin content.
If you have a website with a MOZ DA below around 60 (based on my opinion), you need to be continuously posting on a high DA social or video site like Pinterest, Reddit, Quora, YouTube, Medium, etc.
It has become very challenging to confine your brand to only a low-DA website and be successful with high quality (EEAT) content, even with long tail keywords.

However, AI automation changed all that, even though my niche is not a popular Pinterest category.

I got sick of posting on Pinterest and seeing no benefits.
You have to be constantly adding Pins just to try and keep the momentum.
Without looking at the platform, so you can now use AI within it can you?

I use Pinterest and make 10 second videos using Canva instead of using a static PNG picture, people LOVE THEM.

There's no option to use AI on Pinterest, but they do allow it.
I'm using GhatGPT4 with DALL-E 3 to create my pins. I was in the same situation as you when I first started using Pinterest about three years ago. I saw very little results in my guitar niche, which is not one of the really popular categories that routinely trend on Pinterest. AI helped me change that.
It's true that you have to keep creating content on Pinterest, but that's basically true on any of the social and video channels.
It looks like the days of relying on Google for 90% of our traffic for a low-DA site are gone, so we have to diversify and build our brand to survive; just my opinion.

Using Canva to make Pinterest videos is a great idea! I haven't made too many videos, but I may be doing more of this in the near future.
I'm primarily creating my pins using ChatGPT 4 with DALL-E 3. I create custom GPTs for various types of equipment in my guitar niche, like various makes and models of guitars, amps, and effects pedals. That is the type of AI automation I use.
It speeds things up and produces excellent results. 😎

Okay, Frank, this is going to sound like a really dumb response, but since I have not found a use for Pinterest, I apologize for my ignorance. I am confused about how even to use Pinterest to promote my posts. All I ever see are pins for crafts, recipes etc so I have never tried to do anything with my website, even though I am signed up as a business. I am confused about using AI for Pinterest.

Yes the majority of sites with the biggest Pinterest following are crafts, woman’s fashion, recipes, etc. since it is female-dominated.
However, I have a guitar site and I still pull a decent amount of traffic from Pinterest.
I would start with the link that Michael kindly provided you.
Once you learn the basics then I recommend you automate with AI.

I have a question for you! I noticed you put in the Pin's title the exact long tail keyword you want to rank for. Is it correct?
Do you write that long tail keyword only or add also other keywords in the title?
And in the description: do you repeat the long tail and add some few more infos?

Yes I use keywords of various length in the Pinterest title and description. I may use more than one keyword in the description.
I typically let AI decide and automate the process, but I will switch things around when necessary.
More automation = more guitar playing! Lol 😃

I would love to understand pinterest but I don‘t…i have gone through all the videos about it and I have tried to learn more and even more and I have pinned but because I don‘t know it that well it feels like it is a waste of time🥹

The point of Pinterest is to create your own advertising board that links back to your website.
Its an extra source of traffic going to your website that you would not otherwise have.
If you have lots of followers, then it is more worthwhile because you will already have your own audience to promote TO and get sales FROM.
I create videos that are eye catching, I have only been doing Pinterest for three weeks, but you have to post everyday to gain any momentum to get traction for what you are posting.
I hope this gives you a better insight as to what Pinterest is supposed to be?

How many boards can you create on one pinterst account?
Have you searched the magnifying glass and the classes tab? There are some great ones for beginners. I didn't understand it either, but I took the time to watch A LOT of videos and just started making pins and figuring it out. Like anything, there is a learning curve to it, but if you take the time and put in the effort, it will make sense, and you can take advantage of it.

You can create a separate Pinterest account for each of your websites and they could all have 2000 boards.
I wouldn’t combine your WA promotion site with a non-MMO site like basketball, for example.

I remember thinking, “What the heck is this, a wall of images? “ Now, I understand it’s an actual search engine like Google. Like Brian said, I use it to draw traffic to my website, much the same way I use Facebook, X, and Instagram. All streams leading to my hub; my website

One thing I have learned so far is, don't get hung up on something. If I can't figure it out or get through it easily, I step back and take another look. Then slowly learn what I can before I try again. However, Pintrest is something I have all but given up on. I hit snag after snag and struggle with setting it up. I hope you manage to get it right.
