Hi Everybody,
Its great to get referrals joining me in Wealthy Affiliate, but I have a question.
I have been receiving referrals from a tracking code of "Guest Jo
Yes, I know.
I have posted a response to other people about the discussion I had with Kyle in live chat just in case other people have been getting them aswell?

Brian
Hi Brian
Perhaps those referrals are from people reading a post inside WA that navigated there from a link on your website.

Hi Frank,
The referrals are coming from blogs that I have shared on my social media so I can watch them at at another date.
If the referrals were coming from my website, they would have tracking codes on them which they dont, which caused the confusion as to where they were coming from.
We have resolved it now,
Thanks
Brian
That makes sense, Brian.
Yeah, you can create unique tracking codes so that you know specifically where your referrals came from.

QUESTION RESOLVED:
When a link that is shared online from within the Wealthy Affiliate Platform it doesn't have a tracking code.
So when it is clicked the tracking code goes to DEFAULT: "Guest Join Popover" because it doesnt have one of my own personal tracking codes attached to it.

Brian

Hi Brian,
Please include some details in the ticket about what pages are redirects so that we have some info to look into this for you.
In regards to the WP updates making things look different in your back office. This can happen, it would be related to the updates. Is there a bug or anything broken?
Usually after an update to WP, the updates will be highlighted/explained right after the update successfully completed.
Perhaps our team misunderstood when you mentioned the “edit page” thinking there was an issue saving content.
Furthermore, the “redirect” might simply be that ahrefs is being displayed the “checking browser security” view due to them crawling your site. That’s our security for bots, preventing them from taking your website offline with excessive crawling. Ahrefs is known to abuse crawling and this can take your site completely offline. Our bot protection is perhaps what they are reporting.
You never want to have a plugin or service like ahrefs crawl your site without rate limits in place. Our security will protect your site from this behavior.
So, I imagine this is why ahrefs is saying there are redirects. It’s Security for abusive plugins like this.
Well, I have provided screenshots for site support to look at because it hasnt happened before.
The redirects have the word "tag" inserted into the URL, so I just checked my redirects in my redirect plugin and those redirects are not showing in the plugin.
They all happened on ONE DAY on 25th July.

Brian
Hi Carson,
Even though this reply is four weeks old, I found out what the issue was with the 647 redirects, it was the Google Search Console was not measuring data correctly.
I resubmitted the the issue that was reported to me in Google Search Console and everything seems to be ok now.
Which makes me wonder if Google Search Console is actually measuring data correctly in the first place?
Regards
Brian
I would like to think that I can just raise a support ticket and somebody will rectify the issue in due course.
Thats the whole point of having a site support service: but my main issue is with, Is anybody else noticing things changing around on their website and dashboard regarding the possible wordpress updates?
Maybe it isnt the wordpress updates, maybe its a plugin issue, is my website domain working correctly?
Who knows? ANYBODY?
Regards
Brian
Hi Abie,
I would like to ask you, when you are uploading your sitemaps to the google search console what sitemaps are YOU uploading?
All of your sitemaps OR just posts, pages and attachments?

Brian
