It just depends if you have made anything! I file it as misc income, so unless you are booming, it should not affect you!

You just claim it as income. You can write off all of your expenses. You don't need a 1099, you are not an employee of the company or a contractor, this is certainly handle as income that your business generates or what you generate as a sole proprietor.

You can consult with a tax person about that; just report your profit and loss form. That's how you do it. if you earned more than $600 you have to report it as income. I consult with a tax preparer about that.

How do you file taxes with wa income since wa doesnt provide a 1099?

use more generic broader topics - but riding on the back of those will be the larger sites that can now afford to go for these keywords...
for starter sites stick with narrow topics that are highly targeted and less competition...
always make sure you check google or the search analysis tab in jaaxy to see what the competition is creating and who they are...

Jaxxy is good but also check online and see how many others articles have a similar topic and niche.

I just shoot for a lot of low hanging fruit and build on it, but I have seen a few with good potential. Keep looking if you find the secret to it all tell us the secret.

Looking up keywords on Jaaxy isn't enough; you must look up the competition on Google Page 1 before settling on your keywords to see if you can outrank, do better, or find angles they've not covered.

Authoring & Writing Content

The content on my websites has primarily been written by me so far, except for using Ai to assist with titles and outlines. However, I'm thinking of using Ai to help with more

Thank you for having a conscious. I feel the same way.

It's one thing to have help with research and an outline. It's another to let AI write it for you and just change a handful of words.

Unless you've added your insights and experience, what makes your post any better than a query the individual could have done themselves?

The answer is NOTHING.

I refuse to read articles which are obviously AI generated. Why bother? I'm not going to learn anything, but it's going to take a long time to read it because AI will stuff in a bunch of useless word count because the query said "give me 1200 words on XXXX." It's just like what kids do when their teacher asks for 100 words - "I liked the book very, very, very, very, very...." - you get the idea.

Will it take longer to write a post yourself? ABSOLUTELY.
Will you have better content and better results? ABSOLUTELY

You can always note that articles are AI-assisted to be transparent to visitors.

Or research what the AI produced and other material, then write your take original in your own words.

That is a good idea, I also had chatgpt write me an Ai use Disclaimer. Then I edited it to fit my site. I might or might not use it, it depends on if I do choose to use blog posts mostly generated by Ai. My intention though is as my writings skills improve, to rely on ai less and less for content creation. But I will probably still use ai for outlines

Np :) I wish you and yours a joyful Happy New Year.

I guess you will have many telling you to ignore the fear, and lots of other nonsense of the type AI is the future, etc. I would agree that it is indeed (the future I mean). But I do not like this future. Texts made by AI are simply worthless and superficial, just like all those blogs here at WA that are created the same way, simply a rubbish.

What I am saying here is a sacrilege in view of all what this platform offers regarding the bright AI future. What a future!

So your fear is not irrational, it shows you are a decent human who wants to write for humans. And yes you are lying to your readers, there is no other way to formulate it.

Enjoy the life such as it is, if you can. Join the crowd.
Best wishes.

What I'm thinking of doing, if I do choose to use Ai generated blog posts is to add an Ai Use Disclaimer page, alongside my affiliate disclosure page spelling out exactly how I use Ai. That is, if I do choose to use Ai generated blog posts.

On the other hand, I don't think it's lying if I use Ai to assist in writing or wording certain paragraphs that I tend to get stuck on. Or if I use Ai to help me create an outline. In that case, I wont need to add a disclosure. I also believe an ai generated draft is fine too if I add to it as bing ai said.

You will do what you find appropriate. If you can live with it, then you are good. I have said how I feel about it, nothing to add.

As for AI disclaimer, in a world with a massive production of AI texts, this looks redundant. Better forget.

AI outlines most of the time are simply boring, too detailed, and they look artificial. Oh, yet another sacrilege in this AI-holy place.

Getting Started

I want to make a blog post explaining why I believe that Wealthy Affiliate is better than legendary marketer. I wont be bashing legendary marketer in the post, but will be poin

Anyone, any time, could "call you out" on the internet.

BUT

When you write a "negative" review, you may feel you're "always looking over your shoulder".

Truth is, someone like David from Legendary Marketer (and his previous "not so great failure" "Empower") is used to people bashing him.

He hasn't got time to deal with all the negative press.

That being said, ALWAYS

REMOVE your emotion

When "thinking" about what to write in your review.

Prove your points with FACTS... NOT emotion.

Yes, we should try to be more "personal" in our writing, but you would rather say things like

"Traffic University – $1,497
Affiliate Marketing Business Blueprint – $2500
Digital Products Business Blueprint – $2500"

"In total you're looking at $10,000+ of upsells"

Than going on a rant

"I HATE Legendary Marketer because...." <--- Don't Do This

So, just be honest, sincere, and prove your point with facts.

Make sense?

That makes sense. I agree with the fact based approach and to not let emotion get into the post. I have nothing personal against legendary marketer. I actually am thankful they played a part in making me aware of Affiliate Marketing. However, what I found is that Wealthy Affiliate is better for beginners because it's more reasonably priced. And you get all that core training for that price.

Yes, absolutely. I've done it WA vs. MLSP ( now it's Digital Mentors) you review and share your honest opinion. I was a member of MLSP before, so I compared the difference and how much cheaper WA is, but that was written in 2019, so it's outdated. LM has upsells. WA doesnt. Only upgrades use that as a targeting point, just as you stated. Do not accuse it of being a scam because all businesses have a right to exist. It is a scam if FTC says it is. Companies can sue you for saying negative things about them. Do not do that. Never accuse a business of that. It would be a false claim. Also, just be aware that many others wrote about WA Vs. Legendary Marketer using the same point you and I stated. You must set your article up differently, not rehash the same thing already out there.

You write a take on the matter from your point of view. Be thorough, be professional.
