I just want to know if it is possible to create two websites with one domain name.

You can make a sub domain and put as many as you like under the main domain

Thanks for raising this question, for I too have this in my thoughts and wanted to ask and also to have some information on this topic. The community is so helpful and supportive!

A blessed journey to all of you!

Thanks for sharing all this info and experience.

Here's another way to accomplish the same strategy....set up a page in your main domain site that is re-directed to your second domain. of course as AnnieB pointed out, you would want your two sites to be related. For example set up one of the pages of estherrecommends.com as esthersonlinestore.com which could be a totally separate but related site.

I think we are all essentially saying the same thing in a different way. Just another thought to ponder...

Becca, thanks a lot. I will try your suggestion.

You are most welcome. I'm sure you've seen many websites where the navigation tabs, e.g. Home, About, Blog, etc include a tab like "OnlineStore" and when you click on it you are taken to a completely different website...hope that helps!

Ok , that is great , i did it , but now i have to go Back in a class because i did forget to do this ...

Yes as a main domain and a subdomain. I imagine they would perhaps be of similar topic, but this depends on the main domain name. Eg estherrecommends.com and blog/estherrecommends.com

Its just seems to make more sense to me if you have a generic domain name like your own name, that you can add any other niche domain onto it. No right or wrong and it's just a passing thought :)

Thank you Ann. I also think it is a very good idea to use one'sown name as a domain name. Very insightful.

see edensbox has explained it all for you wish you luck with whatever you decide to do

I am very grateful, Katie, for all your help.

Yes, its possible if you own your own domain. You can set up a main domain and the second as a sub-domain. If you are asking can they have two completely different names, no.

Lets say your domain name is thisismydomain.com and you want to add another site on that domain your subdomain name would be secondsite.thisismydomain.com. They would both have the thisismydomain.com name in them.

Thank you very all very much. I truly appreciate your help.

Hi - yes, as has already been answered - using a sub-domain would allow you to have a completely different site, using the same main domain name. They would both be managed separately though - so if the content is about something different to your main domain name site, then it may be better to register another domain that is relevant to the "new" site.

All the best, Mark

Thanks guys. You've all been very helpful. I am most grateful to you all.

I don't think so, but you can have a domain and sub domain.

Thanks a lot, Starcreator, I appreciate your advice.

What do write about if I have no experience with my niche to share on my about me page, that is, if my niche is not about me but something I know about and want to help others w

I think you've got your answer at the end of your sentence: you know about it and want to help.
Maybe you don't have this "problem", but you have the "solutions". A doctor can give you medical advice for a cold, but doesn't need to have had it to help.
In your About me page, write the why/how you know this subject, talk about experiences helping others. Concentrate on demonstrating you are trustworthy in this field. Good luck! :)

Thank you soooo much DNTL. That was very helpful. I now have a clearer picture of what I should be writing about. Thanks.

Oh great!! :) I'm glad that helped, I look forward to visiting your site!

A common formula to think about when deciding on your niche or what you can write is:

problem+solution=success.

Try to help your readers solve their problems and you're on your way to internet success.

Without knowing what your niche is, it's hard to give you any examples but if you stick with that formula, you should be able to write, keeping your target audience in mind, be informative and let them feel your knowledge/experience/passion seeping through every post.

You can also check out @BIS blogs and trainings, they're fantastic and she's a writing expert.

niche

I'd be one of your followers too! What sort of issues are you thinking about? I would think that you could narrow issues down to a niche. There are certainly plenty of issues facing Christian women today.

Do a search in your search bar for Christian Women + Affiliates. Should give some ideas on what is out there and what people are interested in. Best of luck to you.

Hi esther2501, I'd be one of your big followers, so go ahead with this, as not everyone has this niche. I've put a little Christian touch in my blog, particularly about books that inspire me.

I would say pick an issue and focus on that single issue at first

Kyle please if im interested in issues relating to christian women what would be my niche

making money

Hi Esther.

There's no answer to the question. It isn't a get rich quick scheme - it teaches you how to build a business from scratch. If you were to open a bricks and mortar business, the initial outlay, bank loans, staffing costs etc would east into your profits for possibly years.

The fact all you need here is the membership fee and a domain name (unless you use SiteRubix) - and everything else is provided - coaching, tools, support from the community... you just don't have that negative cashflow to start.

How you commit to following the training to the letter (don't miss out any steps, or assume you know something and gloss over it), and how much time you can dedicate to it - will determine how soon you are successful.

All the best, Mark

I think this is a valid question Esther. I also understand how it is not predictable as others have pointed out. I am fairly new here too. And I understand your concern. If I can ever be of any help, please let me know.

It's entirely up to a lot of variables which are extremely unpredictable. Your niche plays an enormous part. And like steve said, how hard you work at it and so on. Example; one of the members here has only been at it 5 months, and had been making excellent progress. I've been doing this for ONE YEAR and the amount I've made so far wouldn't even cover WA membership for a month! This answer will be different from everyone who chooses to answer. But, if you stay here, you'll get lots of help along the way! Good luck!

Ok. How hard are you willing to work? How many hours can you work each day? How quickly do you learn? how well do you follow instructions? How is anyone supposed to be able to predict that?

I want to know how long it will take before I start making money
