Hello everyone, lately i found myself tied up in family issues and was unable to work on my site in the way that i was supposed to. Knowing that i'm a good ways behind, and nee
I was able to access your site and the 3 posts were there.,along with everything else. It looks great. The ranking is a separate issue and Jim-Bo has an explanation.
if u delete content and do not remove it from the search engines (indexing) it will still show for a while. People click on it and get a 404 error (post not found).
It's like deleting a music track off a cd and expecting it to be still there when you play the CD again. It's gone. But on the label of the CD it still says the 2 tracks you deleted. Delete the track name.
Same with google bing, etc. You need to go into your search console and remove the url from there for those posts.

Did anyone else had this problem?

Tyrone,
When we do blogs here in WA they can be indexed by Google and ranked so even tho you deleted something it did not come off the search engines just yet - and the question one is from a blog post and they can show up on Google.
Hope this answers your question :)

Today, i typed in my domain for my website in bing and was too surprised to also see my about me page as a different site under my main site also was shocked to see a question
Hey Tyrone,
You only need to ask a question once, and then give members the opportunity to answer your question.
For me, without a screen print of the search and search results it is difficult to suggest what might be happening.
My humble apologies Triblu, i really went over the edge with that, didn't know what i was thinking.
Can you provide a screen print of your search showing the search results? Screenshots on the Fly

Good stuff is happening , you searched the URL of your site, it popped up along with your about me page which is indexed and ranking for that search term.
All the content we create on WA is indexed so it will show in some results, all good.
So keep doing what you are doing Bing is taking notice of you.
That doesn't sound like an issue for site support. Sounds like everything is fine. You did a search and Bing populated the relevant results :) Your site of course popped up, your About Me which has your domain in its url of course popped up, etc. Nothing to worry about :)
Ok thanks alot ericcantu, but what about a question that I asked here at w/a also popping up along with the response from a fellow member, that's the one that really gets me bro.
The search engines can only pull up relevant info, so there's nothing odd going on here :) I'd imagine it's because your name is in your WA username. Keep pushing forward! :)

Hello everyone, i currently have a twenty seventeen theme and have followed instructions in properly installing my header along with title and sub-title. Now the size of my log
I use 2017 theme too.
The logo is displayed next to the title and sub-title. That is the layout of the theme.
To have a transparent background, save your logo as GIF or PNG format. These formats support transparent background.
An alternative is not to display the logo. Since the title and sub-title already says the brand name, it may not be necessary to display the logo. Of course, this is entirely up to you. Fyi, I do not display my logo because, like your website, the title and subtitle already states my brand.
Hey, thank you Timotheus that's a very good alternative indeed because i really thought the logo was necessary. Thanks again T.
You're welcome Ty.
The logo is still valuable. You may use it in other parts of your website. You can also use it for your social accounts.
It is part of your branding. And should be used when possible.
In a way, yes its your theme. I uploaded the 2017 theme to my test site to see what it allows.
You can have the big background picture. This is edited under the "header media" in the customizer. You can hide this image. (Do you know where the customizer is?)
Then you can also have the site title and tagline which will show up on top of this background picture. (unless its turned off) You can edit this under "site identity" in the customizer. If you already have the title in your image made in canva then you need to turn off this WordPress title.
Then you have the logo which is different still. This puts a small picture (your logo) next to the site description and on top of the background picture. It sounds like you know where this is already since you know it is supposed to be 250 pixels.
I'm not totally sure exactly what you are trying to achieve and what it looks like now as I can't see your site but all three elements can be turned off and on: The background picture, the logo, and the site title and tagline.
Thank you djdriver,I really appreciate your time in explaining what you think is the issue, although it is one of few of my issues I would like to show you my site, how can I simply do that DJ?
Just click on my name and it should give you an option of sending a private message. You can send a link to me of your site that way.
Let me know if you are not sure how to do this. :)
To be honest i never sent a link anywhere, i can't lie, haven't ventured that far as yet, i hate it, me being a snail in all this. I know i'll catch on eventually though, i am in the right place so i won't give up buddy.
I understand :)
Well even if you give me your domain name I should be able to type it in and look at it then.
Ok, I've looked at your header. I see you turned off the WordPress title and tagline, so you figured that out then. Good going. I also see how your logo doesn't have a transparent background.
I was reading some of the other suggestions from other people, and Timotheus made two good suggestions of either saving your image again in canva but as a png with a transparent background, or not using the logo.
Either that or I would maybe make a test site on a siterubix domain to try out a few other themes to see what other options you might have.
Oh also, I actually don't think it looks that weird with the logo on the mushroom pictures, but if you don't like it then, yeah maybe change the theme?
But it looks ok to me.
Ok DJ, thanks so much for that. With that being said I might just leave it for now, can always change theme later down because i still have alot of catching up to do. Thanks for sharing things in for me bro.
If the size of the logo is too big or you want to change it from say a png image type to a jpg image type, you can go to imageresize.org (I have no association with them) and do the resizing online.
With some WP themes, they do not allow the "logo" image and the "site description" to be both displayed at the same time.
"Logo" image and "header" image can mean different things. It might be an idea for you to say what your understanding is, otherwise there may be some crossed wires.
You talk about your logo being 250 x 250 pixels, and in the next sentence talk about an image being 1170 x 200, so I am confused about what you mean.
I apologize but 1170 x 200 was just a suggestion that I got from another member to avoid the weird display of my logo.I tried that too but it didn't work. What confuses me is that my logo never blends in with header image it seems never to fit in professionally. Is this a big problem for my site?
I see that @Timotheus chimed in with his great suggestions. I hope that those suggestions work for you.
I don't know if this will help but, in your WP, back office did you go into appearance, customize and check to see if you have a slider settings? Or a background setting? Try that just play around with it. I know you can do it. Good luck! :D
To get rid of the title in the header you need to go into customizer and remove it. Make sure you save your logo as a png file.
Thank you ElwinDutton, I am still wondering, why is it when I go in canva to add header, titles and subtitle. The header title that I added using canva is dead and cannot be removed using customizer.Downloaded as png but background still shows tampering with header media. Should I change my theme?
