I an not sure about "track back comment"?.

I have received a comment from an unknown sender. It only says "Track Back" to the article and the website. Is this safe or it is a spam?. Thanks for your help.

Hi, Elores, you can prevent trackbacks and pingbacks by making sure the box is unchecked.

Click on text (not visual) and at the top right-hand corner you should see Screen Options, click on that and a number of options will appear, make sure the Discussion box is checked.

Now keep scrolling down until you see Discussion, and underneath two boxes: Allow Comments and Allow Trackbacks and Pingbacks. Make sure the Allow Comments box is checked and the Allow Trackbacks and Pingbacks box is unchecked. Hope this helps. Best Wishes

I will give try to work on your suggestions. Thanks very much for your help.

Spammy whammy!

I have deleted it. Thank you very much.

No problem Elores

It's comment spa and will suck link juice out of you.

Just delete it.

Thank you. I will delete. It's good to know rather be sorry later.

Sounds like spam but get a few more opinions from others.

I consider anything like that spam, but more experienced members may have a different take on it!

Thanks very much for your reply. All the best to you.

Authoring & Writing Content

I am having non-related niche comments posted
on my one of my article and I am not sure how to deal with this issue.
This looks like advertisements related to sports shoe

All if your comments should be content related for better rankings, Elores.

Make the tough decision and simply trash them.

Remember you have to do what't best for your business.

All the best
Maxine

Thank you. I have done that. All the best for the New Year to you and family.

Have you got Adsense on your site

No, Dave, I don't have Adsense. I am thinking to have that done soon. I have trashed the comments and I hope they will stop. All the best for the New Year.

Adsense is a good move, for sure, because it works based on your content.

Delete them and I recommend setting the option so you must approve comments before they are shown to your site viewers.

Thank you very much for your help. I will follow your suggestion. All the best for the New Year.

It's just spam, and it's very common. Install Antispam Bee and you won't even need to see them.

Thanks, Marion I will install this right away. Enjoy the rest of the holidays and all the best for the New Year.

its probably spam bot , mark it as spam in your comments dash board if you want ? You could consider adding akismet wordpress spam blocker if it continues ? just my thoughts

Thank you very much for your help. I will do what you suggested. Enjoy your Holidays and all the best for the New Year.
