Good News at the Vet and with Sales Today!
We had our appointment to take our kitty boy to the vet specialist to have an echocardiogram done on his heart. We have been waiting for weeks for this since we found out he has a heart murmur. The first vet who heard it with a stethoscope made it sound bad and warned us he might not be able to get his dental work done since he might not be able to get anesthesia. He had a sinus infection when we brought him in and she was afraid a tooth was causing it and so we were scared we couldn't treat any of it!
The antibiotics cleared up the sinus infection completely and today the echocardiogram brought excellent news. His heart murmur is not from heart disease or any defect. It should not get any worse and it should not affect him in any way!
She said he has a type of murmur that only affects cats that is stress induced and can come and go. In his case it is not too serious and he should be fine! Yayyyyy! I am so glad we got a second opinion with a specialist! What a relief! She showed us on the screen the image of his heartbeats at first and then she said the next set showed his heartbeats when I was petting him and whispering to him that everything was ok. You can CLEARLY see the difference and his heartbeats were much better when I was talking to him! I could help him be physically healthier right there as I eased his stress which fixed his heart murmur! There was less extra blood leakage when I talked to him! He loves his Mommy and I have proof! How cool is that?!
He has been eating, loving, playing and roughhousing so he seems perfectly healthy!
On the sales front, I made two sales from Amazon yesterday and one was for a cat tree which is the most expensive item I review so far! Yay!!!!! I am excited about that.
I spent WAYY more on the echocardiogram than I made on the sale obviously but it is still a GREAT day!
By the way, the picture is not of my boy but looks a lot like him.

Thanks Erin! He had good blood pressure too. I had never seen them take a kitty's blood pressure. They use the tiniest, cutest little blood pressure cuff around his little front leg! It is adorable!

I'm happy to hear your kitty is okay. We have three cats and they make us laugh all the time, they are such great pets and you get attached to them, for sure.
