About SondraM

Hi I am Sondra.

I love to help potential small business owners that are part of the WA community to turn their dreams into reality by providing encouragement and a realistic analysis of the situation. In order to do this, I am blessed to draw upon 20 years of diverse experience that has included titles such certified public accountant (CPA), certified internal auditor (CIA) , special projects auditor, business coordinator, finance administrator, real estate broker, small business owner, farmer and online entrepreneur.

At this point in time, my most of my time each day is focused on selling rural homes, farms and ranches on 5 acres and up in Colorado. I have been using the WA training to improve my real estate blog so that it will be more helpful to buyers and sellers. I also use the WA platform to host my websites.

I have two children. I think that hogs, as in the kind that go oink oink; are cute. I've spent the last year and a half trying to get my small, diversified ranch up and running. I have cows, sows, pigs, horses and lots of chickens. The goal of my cows, sows and the other chics is to produce the best tasting food possible. I'm doing this via more old fashioned, natural ways of ranching. Of course, I have a website dedicated to them also.

If you have any questions or need assistance, I will be more than happy to help you out however possible. Best wishes with your online business endeavors.

Sincerely,

Sondra M

Hi, Sondra.

Paul Mindra here from Ontario, Canada. Just a bit North from where you are.

Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your network. After reading your profile, I graciously accept by following you back.

You have an interesting and 'nice' story.

Let's share some ideas how you help local businesses because I do the same through the use of siterubix.com.

We joined WA around the same time. Does not matter to me whether we communicate on an open forum or we choose to Private Message...let's just discuss.

Kindest regards from Canada,

Hi there and thank you for the kind words on my profile! I have to confess I'm a bit relieved, I was worried I was the only person on WA with an emphasis in farm stuff. :)

You definitely have a great point about targeting specific niches that are less popular. I plan to write a lot about ducks, mini horses, and bantam chickens instead of just generic chickens or riding horses, since those niches are far more saturated. Here's hoping!

I have spent so much time trying to figure out perfect website.

I would recommend googling some photography and camera websites or blogs for inspiration.

For the ones that you like the most, look at their overall layout. If you scroll down to the very bottom of their page, you can see the theme they used sometimes. No guarantees.

For example, do you like ones that have a magazine layout or a more simple, yet modern blogger layout?

For me, it has come down to those two basic styles. Then go back to themes choices.

Hopefully this will help.

loan, I am sorry that I wrote your name incorrectly. Yet, I appreciate your explaining what it means in English. Also for explaining that the first letter is not supposed to be capitalized or big.

Where I was a little confused is that your wife and your daughter's names start with big characters. They both have pretty names.

So I guess that your "l" characters is just meant to be a small character.

I like to learn new things. Thank you.

One of the things that I like most about the WA is that we can learn so much from members that live in other parts of the world. In many ways, we are share the same experiences and concerns as we start building an online business.

I totally agree with you Sondra. Indeed, the name we receive at birth is very important because it links us to those who put it to us, that is, our parents.
The fact that we belong to different cultures from different places of the Earth is no longer an issue of interaction today because we have the internet and we can connect very quickly and communicate without problems.

Hi Sondra, you run a ranch and sell property? I don't think I could cope with that one job is enough for me. As for raising animals for food I would have to name them and then wouldn't be able to eat them. Not a good business for me...lol
Reply
SondraM Premium
Hi Neil. I thrive on being busy. lol

I rarely eat my own animals. If I do, it is a few months after they have been gone and I have forgotten about them.

I still cry when I sell most of my pigs. I have so many chickens that the majority just kind of blend together. I simply don't sell my favorite chickens.

My current model has evolved to sell the babies to other people. I hope they will use them as breeding animals but I try not to think about it. Unless you want to be a vegetarian or vegan, it is part of life. I was born with a carnivores teeth and appetite, so that lifestyle doesn't work for me.

Have fun at your car group.

Hi Sondra, thank you for the follow. Have you honed in on your niche yet? From your bio, I see that you were initially considering ways to market your animals and products. You are now working at getting your small ranch up and running. Have you considered looking into a niche in homesteading? Although I am currently living in Malaysia, we get satellite tv and there seems to be a lot of interest in self sufficiency / living off the grid type shows. I see this as a potentially huge market. Homesteading has over 20,000,000 results in a Google Search. Just putting it out there. Gary

I have not thought about going at my niche from a homesteading perspective. Yet, that is a great idea!!! It would allow me to combine the different interests/animals into one website. I read lots of magazines in my spare time that discusses just the lifestyle you suggested.

Hi Sondra,

Thank your for the follow.

I like your bio and I'm envious of your lifestyle. I live in an humble apartment where the most agriculture I have is a worm bin and few 5 gallon buckets where I try growing different things. I live in a cold area, So my Kale tends to stay alive. I digress.

Thanks again for the follow.

See you around,
Kyle

Good to meet you Sondra and wow what an opportunity you have based on your profile...HUGE potential....

Your background makes this online marketing and affiliate marketing, in particular, a viable option to sell not only others' products but your own...

There are so many ways to attack the opportunity...I think you could easily market several angles...In Germany, we buy our beef local and also the pigs...Farms that do not use pesticides nor other artificial stuff that you find in supermarket foods often...

The setting (farm) alone that you describe can lead you into other niches such a minimal living, free range animals (as you say in your profile, some of your animals are REALLY free ranging hehe), organic gardening, natural farming, permaculture, etc...

Best of luck as you proceed, I look forward to reading here the directions you take and how they go for you...

Cheers!
Dave : )

Honored to follow and humbled to be followed herein @ WA Sondra.
Being that I am relatively new my only advise is to 'use the tools.' because thus far WA is far & away the best place I've seen to organically learn and grow via online business.
My aspirations are to teach and learn a Functional Health Model of Wellness and share the same with as many as possible. We should be our own best Doctors.
Wishing you and yours the best in your ventures.
Be Well, Be Safe, & Be YOU! I remain ...

Happy to help out a fellow countryside lover.
I still miss it even though I've been a 'Townie' for 12 years.
But I live on the outskirts of Edinburgh now but still close enough to get on my bike and ride the country roads.
You get stuck even after reading my blogs then you send me a PM.
