Hi! I am an Alaskan girl with interests in nutrition, pets, gardening, healthy cooking and the geography and cultures of the world. My specific niche ideas are listed at the end of this profile.

2nd Update: I have started my second website! The topic is micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), causes and affects of deficiency and supplements to treat them. I am so excited to get this going since it was my long term goal ever since I joined WA two years ago! My cat site is still going well also.

Update: My niche is cat health and behavior. The supplements I review and sell are made for dogs as well. I would still like to start one or two additional sites in human nutritional deficiency and supplementation someday but for now I am taking good advice to stick to one!

I have a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Environmental Studies and I am close to finishing my graduate degree in Ocean and Coastal Studies.

My husband and I both grew up in remote parts of the state with dog teams in the real Alaska. We now live in Anchorage, and have three wonderful kitties and both work for the State of Alaska. I have worked for the Department of Natural Resources for 7 years, and love my job but I have always wanted to be independent and be my own boss. Growing up in the bush, you do everything for yourself. You get your own water, grow your own food, heat your home, even build your own system to produce electricity as my Dad did. When you lose the ability to be independent living in a city you feel restricted sometimes. While it is nice to be able to just go to the store and buy whatever you want, it is frustrating to lose all the beauty and space and time to enjoy the world outside. You have to worry about all these other people!

Niche ideas:
1) I want to share all I have learned about nutrition over the last several years as I have struggled with serious health problems. Most of my issues come back to nutrient deficiency, but it took a car accident to compound the problems and bring them to light. Through years of painful firsthand experience I have learned how common nutrient deficiency is and how it can be alleviated.
After so many doctors and tests that revealed nothing, I finally started to find the guidance I needed to actually identify and fix my problems. It was scary to feel like I might not be able to keep my job due to health problems and I felt completely helpless. I want to offer information to others who are struggling with these very common issues that can be helped greatly with the proper nutrients.

2) Products to help cats with behavior issues. I have personally experienced a total 180 in my cat who used to pee on everything and be scared. With a pheromone collar and calming drops, he is happy, content and doesn't have any issues. So many pet owners (including myself) try getting prescriptions from vets that are expensive, taste horrible, the pets don't want to take and don't work well. Others give up and get rid of their pets with behavior problems. All they need is the information that, effective solutions are out there and easy to buy. These products are on Amazon.

3) I also want a niche for natural supplements for pet health. I use a line of pet products that has finally cured my 3 cats' upper respiratory infections. Before I found this, we had years of vet visits and prescription antibiotics, prescription eye drops, ointments etc. They were very expensive and didn't work well either. Another product in the line helps with gum disease and bad teeth. The alternative was more expensive vet visits to have dental work done and teeth extracted under anesthesia every year!!

I look forward to working with all of you,
Jessica

Like your bio. Hope you have great success. The public needs to know that there are cures for all health problems. Big pharma is not the way. They don't want to cure, just treat and make more money.

When you have a minute visit my profile.

Belated thank you for the follow Jessica. You know I will love following your success in 2019. Have you ever read "Into the Wild" by Jack Krakauer? It is about a young, idealistic kid named Christopher Mccandless who left his life in america and went to Alaska. It is a book that I carry with me in all my travels. An amazing read that really changed my life.
Reply
Swangirl Premium
Oh yes, we all know about him here. Honestly most of us don't like him much. He inspires lots of people to try to go to the place he died and many of them get trapped and need to be rescued since they are in over their heads. I know the book is supposed to be good though. I have to admit I have not read it. For those of us who grew up in the wild in Alaska it is a complicated issue and we have a different perspective of it than others. I loved my lifestyle and miss it terribly. I would love to be able to go back and live in the woods and mountains again. Many people here in Alaska appreciate nature but most don't seem to have the connection I felt. I grew up immersed in it completely. I could feel it and understand it and it is a part of me that is missing now.

We just survived a huge earthquake here today. 7.2 magnitude, shallow and close by. Lots of damage. I just finally sat down after 14 hours of cleaning and getting ready to evacuate.

Glad you are safe. Chris's reasons for going to Alaska and leaving his cush mainstream life in america for absolute freedom is what I like about the book. It made me think seriously about leaving america and enjoying my absolute freedom to go anywhere and live. I ultimately made the choice and moved to Ukraine. America just really left me feeling hollow an unfulfilled. He really did just make a couple of very little mistakes or he would have walked out fine. But a little mistake will kill you in the wilds of Alaska.

Isn’t it cute that he “left America” to come to Alaska? Alaska is part of America but there are a lot of people who do not realize or remember that.

Hello Jessica, Your About Me page is fascinating! Your life and family and childhood in Alaska, all of your interests, the beautiful nature/expanse of the vistas in Alaska, resilience, your studies...!

I was working late at my law firm office (in my telecom attorney years, before 5 kids), when on a Friday night I had the opportunity to fly to Anchorage the next day for work. I'm so glad I was able to go to Anchorage; I was able to spend a day driving to see glaciers, whale watching spots. I visited a wildlife refuge where I met a baby Moose named "Monty" -- his favorite snack were bananas. I got to give him a banana and he nearly knocked me over in his glee.(I need to find those pictures - I think someone there at the wildlife refuge took a few pictures for me - in the days before selfies and smart phones :).

I was so taken with Anchorage - loved it!!! I stayed at a hotel called the Hotel Captain Cook - such an amazing hotel, with gorgeous views of the water (Cook Inlet) and mountains, sunsets over the water.

The one thing I didn't get to see was the Northern Lights - I was hopeful - maybe next time :) I want to go on a family trip back to Anchorage.

I look forward to following your successes at Wealthy Affiliates, thank you for the inspiration!

I just started my nutrient cures site this winter. It is still very young and I don't have a lot of posts on it yet. I was making some sales when I was adding posts back then. I have not been very active with it in recent months since I realized I had abandoned my first website and needed to spend time on it as well, I also work a regular job etc.

I would definitely recommend a health niche as long as he follows all the training here to learns good SEO techniques. There can be a lot of competition in a health niche but there is also a ton of potential business since so many people are online looking for answers. I would also recommend he stick to just one site! It is really, really hard to juggle multiple sites when you have a regular job. If I just focused on that site I think it would be making me quite a profit already!

Hi Jessica:

I saw your article about your traffic woes this month and was interested in your routine. My website is done, and I'm just starting the marketing phase to get traffic (social media, SEO, Quora, etc...). When you post to Quora, how do you do it? Are you answering questions or actually writing articles? And, do you give a link to your website in the process?

Any insight would be a great help at this critical stage. Thanks for posting about your journey, so we all can grow as well. Ted

Swangirl Premium
Hello Ted,

What I do (that I learned from other successful members here at WA) is answer people's questions on Quora and include a link to my relevant post.

So, I search for questions on Quora in the search bar with keywords that pertain to my posts. For example, if I want to promote my review of a supplement for keeping dog and cat teeth clean, I search for "clean cat teeth" or "How to clean dog teeth" or something like that. I could try a different angle and search for "dog breath" etc. Just find any questions related to the product you want to promote. Then I answer the question based on my own experience and add the link to my post for the product. I could explain that the link is to a review I wrote on my website or just add the link and say something like "Here is a review:" or "you can read more about it here:"

I like that Quora lets us add these links. I don't think you can link directly to the affiliate that sells the product however.

It has worked very well for some members here. It has just been slow for some reason this week.

It seems more effective than other types of social media since people are there searching for something in particular and are therefore more likely to purchase a product to fix the problem than someone just browsing social media.

I hope this helps.

Jessica

Thanks so much for running me through your process; it really helped me put the right perspective on it and gave me that all important opinion on the effectiveness of Quora over Social Media.

I found (in the managing/trading your own money niche) that education and direction in my field is so bad that I started an education site based on my 20+ years of experience to put people on the right track. My training to give people a wealth building plan is free, so it lends itself to the Quora platform. Only when I recommend a trading or education site and people opt in, do I get paid a commission. Thanks for mentioning the direct link to affiliates being off limits. I've run into that on Facebook and other sites, so it's not a problem.

Keep up the good work, and thanks again for all your help. Ted

Nice story. I can well understand why you are feeling a bit stifled in the city.

I'm a US guy who has lived in the Philippines for many years now. I haven't yet started generating my own electricity, but basically everything else, like water, heating the water for washing and such we do on our own.

It's nice not to have someone looking over my shoulder every second, asking if I have a permit to do something on my own, or if I have applied for a license to think.

Much success in your journey.

Well, the first one was published in 1980, just before Janice Schofield's book...in fact, I'm a reference in her bibliography (pat on the back to me, lol...) My book is called "Plant Lore of an Alaskan Island." Then, I put out a second edition that took me five years to complete and included several more plants, some new sections, and more detailed artwork. It is by the same name, but I self-published that one. It is a bigger book...about the size of Janice's "Discovering Wild Plants." I love the book and the layout but was not pleased with the publisher...they charged me so much that I can't sell the book at the price I think it should be. Maybe I will make enough in WA to get it reprinted at a lower price.

Let me know if you have seen them.

Hi, Jessica.
Paul Mindra here from Ontario, Canada.

Listen,
Regarding anything to do with Anthony Bourdain, I want to right off the bat want to apologize if I said something out of line.

Chefs from his time and times before are different from Chefs of today. Back then, we were and still are a 'Band Of Brothers.'

Today, it is really easy to become a Chef. Get on a TV show.

It seems really easy until those 'Master Chefs' actually have to run the operations.

The facade has changed but the reality has not.

If you want to read his story before becoming a TV star, you can do so here:

https://joeandjin.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/anthony-bourdain-kitchen-confidential.pdf

Again, if I said something out of line, It was not meant personally.
It is that I suffered a personal loss yesterday of a 'Brother In Arms.'

Hope you understand.
Please forgive me.

Kindest regards,

Paul Mindra.

Thank you so much Rick! I miss living in the mountains and forests here in Alaska so much. City life just feels artificial for me! I never lived in the true Arctic (or tundra) but it still got very, very cold in the winter!

I would love to get your thoughts on my website. The supplements for dogs and cats are in some of my older posts. I can send you the links in a Personal Message here if you like, or just use the catagories on my site and click on "Health Problems" or "Products for Dogs". There is one for teeth and gums that actually has "Dog" in the title. The others only have "Cat" but some all of the supplements by PetAlive are made to be used for both kinds of pets. My site primarily focused on cats since we don't have any dogs now.

Great to read about your work and I am thrilled by what you have been able to achieve. I picked you hoping that you can help me with my challenge. I am going through my lessons, just finished level 2. I have 2websites running, one on jewelry and the other on quality wood. My question is, in the home icon for the jewelry website, from the back office, the drop down comes with 2items; visit site and visit store. With my quality wood website, the drop down only has visit site. I don't know why, because I think the visit store item is also needed. What am I to do, any help? Regards

Sorry to hear about your medical issues. I went through my own and only when I changed to a whole food plant based (no oil) lifestyle (as detailed in the "Forks over Knives" documentary) was I able to throw away all medication and it wasn't long before everything came right.
Now if I can just make a decent living I may get to visit Alaska someday and take some amazing photos.

Thanks. I have mild asthma but it is only a problem when I am sick or if I laugh too much or run. My husband has allergies that were really bad. He would never give up the kitties though. He got surgery on his nose to open up a deviated septum. That fixed most of it. I can imagine if you have both allergies and asthma though that would be too much!

I have been Ambassador for only a little over a month. I expect I will not be in a few days. There are a bunch of previous Ambassadors moving back up the ranks.

Hi Jessica, I love your bio and saw some of your comments on Chris Scott's post the other day. I was sure I had followed you but apparently not :) I'd love to do that now if you don't mind.

I loved reading your bio and about your interests. Living remotely has its advantages like the beauty, nature etc. but the isolation could be a tough nut to crack too. Not everyone's cup of tea.

Wishing you every success here in WA and in your studies

Great Bio Jessica! It's nice to meet you here at WA! You are right to stick to one site at a time. Get that site going good and play around a bit with it, to learn things about your consumers and get a decent following of reader's. That way you can send your loyal readers to your new website, for when you start another one. Now that I see your starting date, I bet you already have a great number of reader's. I love your niche choice of cats, they are just a sweet animal. I'll be checking out your website then and hope to see you around! I wish you monstrous success in life and in your online journey! Fab profile read. Just wanted to say - I'd be all over a blog about pet nutrition!

One of our dogs was poisoned recently, and while she made a miracle recovery at the vets (following a king's ransom cost), she was no longer able to stomach any dry dog food. She'd have an instant horrible reaction to it.

So we started asking around about fresh food diets for dogs who've had their systems weakened or sensitised, and the small effort it takes to put the bowls of food together each morning and night (fresh ground chicken carcass and frozen veg etc), costs the same as the processed dog food we used to buy.

The difference in their health, and their appearance is really nice, though. Hey, and people are not too different when it comes to such changes to diet, either. :)

Hello Ivy. My site is about cat health. My link is here on my profile if you are interested. The supplements by PetAlive are made for dogs and cats and are amazing at treating and preventing tooth and gum disease, upper respiratory infections etc. Since I don't have any dogs now I only focus on cats to keep it authentic. I really wish I knew about these supplements when I still had dogs though. All of mine lived into their mid to late teens but I still wish I could have improved their quality of life more. They got a lot of fresh foods.

I am glad your dog recovered! I address some nutrition topics on my site now but don't make my own cat food yet.

Thanks for the follow. I am following you back.

Thanks for taking on the niche! A lot of cat owners will be grateful, I'm sure. I wish there were more quality, authoritative info on pet nutrition and how to make a good balanced fresh pet meal out there - I've found it really difficult to nail that down. I have only one good book a friend's loaned me, from a wholistic vet who self-published and sold it to her some years ago (includes sections on cats and dogs).

Since the poisoning, we've asked a few vets here what we should feed instead, and their stock answer is - oh - we have this thoroughly nutritious kibble we can sell you - why would you want anything else? And then we explain we've tried it all. But that one dog gets violently sick and frail now, anytime she eats dry food. It's not going to happen! (sighs)

Hello! I just wanted to read your story again. And it amazes me how true living off the grid teaches us amazing self reliance. As for your health, I am so sorry for the issues you are having. After having to deal with neurological and autoimmune problems I realized we are what we eat. Nutrition is our nurturer.

I don't know if you have tried body testing? But it has worked for me. Google kinesiology of body testing. You actually ask your body what foods will work and what it needs. It saved my life.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help with? wishing you amazing joy always and comfortable health. ariel

I neglected to write what I intended to...and that is about your debilitation and recovery and learning. I am in a similar situation and can surely understand what happens after illness compounded by an accident. I just got off the phone with my sister in Texas talking about some MORE nutritional options, ordered yet another book, etc, etc. But it is important and I SO MUCH hope that you can take what has happened as you plan and build around it for good.

I really enjoyed your bio. We live on the edge of a small city, but I could always enjoy just a bit further out. I love reading about Alaska and about pets. I like your niche ideas, but I am allergic to cats, so we have dogs. And the volunteer pets, which are bird -- mostly cardinals and hummingbirds. Jocelyn has about 40 regular hummingbirds now. She says the collective power of their wings fluttering makes a kind of pressure she feels in her head. I don't know...when I go out they run. Anyway, congratulations on becoming an Ambassador and for your success in WA. It motivates many of us...me for sure. I am following.

Hello Bob, nice to meet you! Thank you for following me. The PetAlive supplements that inspired my website are made for cats and dogs. I have a WA member here in my network who decided to try one of these supplements for her hamster too for upper respiratory infections. It worked! She said she had been looking for something like it for decades. The supplement for tooth and gum health is the one that is most applicable to dogs. Who doesn't have a dog with bad breath or dirty teeth?

I love wild birds too! I would love to see 40 hummingbirds.
Thanks for the kind words.

Had a look at your website now. It looks really very good. Many interesting articles about many things a cat friend need to know.

Do you know what? The cat on left handside of the picture looks very much like my sisters cat - the same colour, white and orange, and the same kind of fur. Is it perhaps your own cats on that picture?

Happy greetings!

Hello, thank you so much. I would love to check out your site but when I click on the link I get a message that says "This Page Can't Be Displayed". Is it a Site Rubix site or do you have your own domain?

I still don't make enough to make a profit so I don't know if I can call myself successful yet in those terms. I am glad to be able to share useful information with pet owners though and very happy when I get sales! I was making sales within a few months of starting my site and setting up affiliate links. It dropped off however when I had to take time to finish my graduate courses and then recently we had to move. I would be much further along if those things hadn't come up as well as being really sick with bugs going around my office where I work.

Please check out my site and let me know what you think. I still have a lot to do there. The products such as those from Pet Alive were so miraculous for my cats that I wanted to share the information. That was the inspiration for my site. The Gumz-n-Teeth supplement stopped the awful tooth and gum disease in them and saved annual teeth cleaning and extractions. Those and the Safe Space for Cats drops have been amazing.

Hi Jessica!

Do you hibernate and work on the biz? Do you get to take snow days off from your day job?

Thought this might be kind of a personal question for the main blog.

We had 3 - 5" of snow, 18 - 21 F some days and it did not melt for about 4 days. During this time we had an ice storm. Then it warmed up and we had pouring rain and floods.

We thought that was bad enough! Are you ok?

We occasionally get days off for weather but not often. It has only happened about twice since I have worked there for 9 years! Usually that only happens if there is really bad ice and it is dangerous to drive. They will send people home early more often so they can avoid rush hour traffic.

We got sent home when our whole building lost power this winter!

Thank you for your concern! It got sunny and it was so nice outside this afternoon!

Oh I went to school, just not in Natural Resources. I had an Associate's Degree and a B.A. in Anthropology with minor in Environmental Studies. I was also already a graduate student in Oceanography when I started the job. I understand years and years of school. I spent 10 years on my Master's courses since I could only afford to take one class at a time! I had taken Geographic Information Systems courses also (map making) and that was the key to getting the job. I was the map person making all the maps for state land use plans when I started out. Later I worked up to being a land use planner, and now I am an adjudicator for water use.

Wow `Jessica - I envy you're early years - 'in the bush - when we talk about the 'bush' in Africa we mean elephants, lions, giraffe, buck, snakes, big open plains. And I long to live in that part of this continent - quietly 'in the bush' - I think we all long for the quiet. The city makes us 'dependent ON' - through WA we want to be 'independent OF - great meeting someone in the opposite side of the globe - and the other end of the globe.
I DO have one of my 'bucket list' experiences is to travel the Inside passage to Anchorage. Looking forward to that sometime!!

Yes, here it's mostly the weather and long distances that make living in the bush a challenge. Extreme cold (unless you are on the coast where it is very mild), little sun in winter, endless sun in summer...in places there are large earthquakes (we had 2 over 7.0 in my memory and one at 9.2 in 1964. We even have volcanoes close enough we can see them smoking from my office building in the city. It's a dramatic area but I love it!

I am sure you would love the cruise along the coast here!

Came here because you like cats too. (Sorry to be picky but it should be 'pheromone') I take it your fourth niche is people not cat's drink. Our cat had a liver problem and had to be fed through a tube for a while. I don't expect giving her a healthy green drink everyday through a tube would have been feasible! And I can vow to the fact she wouldn't drink it voluntarily. One of my previous cats did have a behavioural problem. And it was because she was taken from her mum way to early and dumped beside a city free way (aren't some people just wonderful - not). She had never learned to socialise. But I persevered and she lived to be 19. I would like to keep in touch with you and I will visit your site soon.

Hi Jessica,
You have great niche ideas. I can relate to your first idea. I was in the same boat, with experts telling me how they could patch me up and take my money. I found most were experts at taking my money. In the end I learned that a nutritional balance, in addition to a muscular balance was a miracle. Sometimes it's just a matter of seeking the right people. I encounter folks on a daily basis to change a story that has likely become annoying for others.

As for your third idea, the proper pet diet can mean the difference between a crippled dog and a healthy one. I share this because I put my shepherd on raw chicken two years ago. He could barely jump into my truck. He's nine now, and we're climbing mountains. It's as important for animals to consume healthy food as it is for us.

Anyway, welcome to WA. I'm an avid mountain hiker, and love, the ocean. I've been dreaming of going to Alaska for years.

Hello Shawn, thanks for the follow and I am following back. I have had such amazing experiences with natural supplements for myself, my family and my pets. I want to share that with the world and let people know there are alternatives to expensive, dangerous and often ineffective medications that are not addressing the root cause of the problem.

Thanks!

Excellent ideas. I look forward to seeing your "cat advice". I have a 16 year old Maine Coon. He is pretty healthy and I have been using natural alternative as much as possible. I am really anti-drug for myself, so why should I push them on my cat. You may already know, but I have discovered a great natural and inexpensive solution to the conjunctivitis that is so common in cats. Message me if you are interested in details.

Hello...thank you for following me! I'm returning the favor because I love your profile, love your chosen niches and I love Alaska. A childhood friend of mine vacationed in Alaska and decided to stay - that was 18 years ago. I'm an avid watcher of "Life below zero".
I think if you have a pet site offering information on the best foods/treats to feed our pets and "natural" ways to heal an animal, avoiding prescription meds, it would be quite popular.
Good luck and best wishes,
Karen

Thanks Karen. Please check out my site sometime, thrivingcat.com. I have had a lot of positive feedback on it so far.

I love Alaska too. I have lived here all my life and love to travel but I always want to come back.

I am a forester who worked 10 yrs for the USFS in Oregon and 20 years for Div of Forestry and Wildlife in Hawaii. Hawaii environmentalists work directly with Native Alaskans to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and I have been involved in that for a couple of decades.

I believe that local groups working together for mutual support and sharing what they are doing with the world is the only solution to the complex environmental challenges we face. The internet is our tool to bring that effort together.

All the niches you describe have great potential. Pick the one that is most focused with the most income potential and work on that till it is profitable, then scale up with your other niches. Bill

There is a famous quote from Mark Twain:

"If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first."

And that just means - do your hardest task first or at least as soon as you can in the morning. If you do this then the rest of your day is easy from there!

ANYWAY…

Hello Jessica, thanks for the follow and welcome to WA. You are definitely in the right place!

Envious though, of your life experiences in Alaska ...beautiful country and perhaps can enhance any niche you get into.

Hey Jessica. Thanks for following me. I'm following right back. You have some really great niche ideas! I'm particularly interested in the nutrition and supplements idea and dog teeth health, once you get those going - if you decide on them.
i too have spent a lot of money on my dog to get her teeth cleaned professionally, only to have her breath smell again a few weeks after I got them done :(
I look forward to checking out your sites once you have them done, and following success!
Cheers

Hi Nicki,
My pet site is up and running and the post on cat and dog teeth is my most recent one! My site is focused on cats since that is what I have now, but the supplement is made for both cats and dogs. It works so well on the cats, I can't imagine it isn't great for the dogs too! I wish I had known about it years ago when I had a dog team! All the supplements in that line are for both cats and dogs. I also like one they have called "Slender Pet" and started using "Immunity and Liver Support" too.

If you want to see the tooth product, check out my recent post at http://thrivingcat.com It is linked under my profile. I have my Amazon affiliate links turned on now too...yay!!!

Thanks,
Jessica

I see on Amazon reviews that people have successfully used the supplement on their dogs. Note that the bottle says not to use it for more than 6 weeks on a pet with a microchip. I am not sure why. I have asked the company.

Other reviewers have noted the reason for this limitation is that the silica can expel foreign objects from the body. So the silica may have an effect of trying to push the microchip out! I don't know if this is just an abundance of caution or has actually been a problem. Silica is naturally occurring throughout the body however and vital for healthy hair, skin, connective tissue, nerve sheaths, digestive tract etc.

Hi Jessica - Just a quick word to offer any help I can - being healthy is the greatest gift and having raised 7 kids as a single mother nutrition was a prominent feature and fortunately all my kids are healthy, are careful also with their eating habits which of course generates down the line to the grandkids and great grandkids. I have chooks and ducks and grow my own vegies as I like fresh food and at least growing from the old seeds I know that they are not genetically modified. There are some new supplements out containing stem cell extracts that you may be interested in but I am not here to push my barrow - just thought I would let you know and I will follow you as you progress. We all are interconnected in some way or another and if we can help one another it makes life so much more interesting.

Hello Carol and thanks for following me. I love growing my own food. I just got a little greenhouse last summer. This is the first time I have had one since growing up in the bush were we had huge gardens and greenhouses. I grow my own cucumbers, tomatoes etc. as well as herbs on the deck, raspberries in the yard, lots of flowers in the sunroom year round and outside in the summer and some lettuce, greens, onions and peas.

My dream is to have a peony farm here in Alaska. It might sound strange but it is taking off and becoming quite the thing here. I first heard about peonies here over 10 years ago and they have taken off since. Because of our climate, our peonies bloom later in the summer than all the other places they are grown. So, for summer weddings in July or August, we are the only location that can provide them!

I am in the process of doing a lot of blood testing and experimentation with my naturopathic doctor to try supplements to take down widespread inflammation. The stem cell products sound interesting.

Thanks for connecting, keep in touch!

Great - Alaska is one of my 'to do' items on my bucket list and a visit to the peony farm would be great. I have spent a lot of time in and out of the States and lived in Bellingham, WA for 3 months and loved the white Christmas. I am currently living in outback Queensland - very very hot so of course one has to be careful when growing as the heat can kill the little plants before they get started. I am moving back closer to the coast before the end of the year and am looking to move onto an 104 acre property so I will be in my element.
take a look at my website - it is not live yet and only has the anti-ageing products on it but I will be adding the supplements when I get more confident about what I am doing.

Hi Jessica, I've just been to your website and really like it, it`s clean and professional, well presented. I was wondering, what is the theme that you chose, I have a similar theme except that the header picture on mine is huge and I can't reduce it, would like to change. Have a great weekend, Sylvie :)

Hello Sylvie, it is called NatureSpace. The picture is my own. It was landscape and I just cropped it down to create a panorama size.

Thank you so much for visiting my site! I just signed up for Amazon Associate last night and put in the first link. I am having trouble positioning it on the page but finally had to stop at 2 am!

I`ll go take a look. I don't know if you're aware but with Amazon you need to make a sale within a certain amount of days, I think it's 90 days, so if you're having trouble getting there let me know and I'll go make a purchase through your site :)

Hi Jessica, I love Alaska, was fortunate enough to do the Alaska glacier cruise a number of years ago, and stayed an extra week to visit a few places, what a beautiful place. I see we have similar interests, I look forward to visiting your site and following your progress, the follow is much appreciated :)

Thanks Sylvie, yes, please visit my site sometime and tell me what you think! If you have any suggestions for topics I should cover there let me know. Next up will be supplements for cats and dogs (the line I use is for both) to deal with common health problems.

I work in public service as well for the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources. I finally worked my way up to a window and then had to make a switch to keep moving up and now don't even have a window. I go to work in the dark and go home in the dark in the winter. That is the worst part for me! I am still lucky, my husband works for the State Troopers as a dispatcher at the courthouse. He works in the basement all day! At least I can stand up and look out someone else's window and see the Chugach Mountains, Cook Inlet and even Denali (Mt McKinley)!

Working full time on WA I could get outside and take a walk any time I want, or move out of the city back to the country where I grew up! That is my motivation.

Love Denali, we spent a full day for a tour a in the park, what an amazing place. I had to go back to work recently to help pay the bills until the site pays enough, but I was fortunate enough to get a window office and will be there for the 3 years I have to work. I remember when I used to be in an inside cubicle, left home in the dark and came back in the dark, you almost want to be a bear and hibernate until spring. I`m home for the weekend, will definitely look at your site and leave a comment, will provide feedback here on your profile. Have a great weekend, Sylvie :)

Hi Jessica,
Hal here... I'm following you after seeing one 8f your post's on another blog. Like you, I'm a pet parent. I've had dogs and cats, however I'm down to just one dog at the moment. After going through a similar situation with my previous pets, I found a great holistic food, which I also rep, now. I don't think it's available outside of the continental 48 states, though. But it sounds like fortunately, you've found a good product for your furballs. I wish you much success. Stay warm!

Hello Hal! Thanks for the follow! I am following you back. I haven't posted my website yet but I suppose I should soon. I am just starting it and wanting more content before I share it with everyone. If you are interested it is thrivingcat.com

We try to do grain free food for the cats dry food. We have tried a ton of wet foods but they really love a not so great brand unfortunately. It is not a bad, just not as high quality as I would like. We let them have it for now as it is a good vehicle for all their natural supplements that help with energy, tooth and gum health, preventing upper respiratory infections etc.

I have not added a food or supplement post yet...still on behavior issues atm.

Good luck to you here. It sounds like you are well positioned to have a very successful career online! I wish I had some of your knowledge!

Nope, same thing. I have never seen this before...very odd. It does not show up when I search for it either. It is also not on your blog list under your picture when I have any of your blogs open. That is what made me wonder if it had been deleted. The link shows up on your profile page still but does not work.

Don't worry about it, I read through all the suggestions twice in the last few days so I wrote down what I could remember. Very odd though!
