Go into Paypal and cancel the subscription there. I don't know what the issue is on the WA end but a lot of people have had the same problem when trying to cancel.
I know you are given 30 days to transfer hosting of your websites before they are deleted. That may have something to do with it. It's possible the cancellation doesn't become final until after the 30 days.

Dear Laura,
How do I delete my/this account if I did NOT pay for it through PayPal, but used my credit card instead of them? Thank you.

Hi fellow WA'ers!
My question may be a bit un-related to WA, per se. But, I've grown to love and respect this community, as a place to share, and seek expert opinions and
If I decided to sell, I would definitely seek legal advice. The real question here is what do You want to do. Best of luck
Thanks, Barry.
But, I'm pretty sure my online quiz-game is sooooooooo not in the same league as Facebook, or Windows :=)))))
My point was that if you give in to the buyers, you may be giving up your biggest chance at the best thing you could have.
Not knowing your game, I have no idea how it would compare to Mark or Bill. I just think you may lose in the long run.

Above all the legal advice mentioned I would also add hoe committed do you feel to the app? Do you feel like you want to spend the time to make it work? If not then once you have sought some advice maybe selling is the right thing for you at this time?
While the offer may be attractive, I suggest you seek legal counsel to ensure that your rights are protected. I heard so many stories of people selling their 'inventions' for a low price and then regret it. If the game is good and you secure the appropriate legal protection and patents, it may be worthwhile pursuing full development of the games. Regards, Fred
Hi Fred.:)
Thanks for the input.
Yep, it's worth thinking about carefully, before rushing into a sale.
I'm no expert in intellectual property but it may be worth applying for a patent if companies are interested, that way your game would be protected.
It might be worth consulting a lawyer, who specializes in intellectual property, for advice before making a decision.
I would go with Gr8Purpose,
however, I would pose myself a further couple of questions:
What is the long term life of the game?
Is there potential that the app may be picked up within the education community. Does it or could it have an educational angle and how lucrative could this be?
Do you have the time, skill & resources to market your game to its full potential?
Have you looked at site flipping sites. Is there something similar and what was the sale price and interest generated.
I have pm'd you the link to one of the most famous ones.
I would hate for you to sell out and then have regrets later..
Pete
Thanks for the tips, Pete.
Great advice ))) Much appreciated
However, I didn't get your PM ((

Hello my first thought was a partnership with them possibly...I would think about two or three options and present it to them.I don't feel you need to pick one or the other you can have both if the deal is right for you.The key is to create for yourself opportunities to create a residual income. The interested parties may have you on board for development then once you go live a royalty may be paid to you.Consider facebook as an example...if you were in there at the beginning and even had a small share you would have a great residual income and passive as well.Just some thoughts to think about...
You didn't sell out if your intent was to make money and you did. Could you of made more money if you stuck it out, who knows? It's time to look forward. Congrats on the sell!
Thanks foodking ))
I did intend to make money. But, it wasn't my only intent. Monetizing the game only came afterwards. My main goal was to build a motivational-educational quiz for kids' schools. ))
If they are interested in it they must see a potential to make a good income from it. So I'd stick with it and use the training here to promote it yourself.
Is the link to your games site on your profile?
I think it depends if you are in need of money, then I would sell it. If you are not in big need of money, you could develop it out and probably make a lot more money for it. Just my thoughts!
God bless,
Ed
Much appreciate the input, Ed :=)
You're right : no need to rush into a sale, unless I absolutely have to

I'm at quite a loss here.
Last week, I upgraded my subscription to a YEAR-plan : paid for it, received the confirmation, etc.
All's well.
Two days later (
Usually when tickets dissapear, they have been send through to Kyle or Carson. Hope that's the case. You can always contact Kyle with a PM
HI Stephen - sometimes these things do happen and there are so many people now at WA it does get a bit hard to handle somtimes
Please do not worry it will be sorted soon just chill OK
Hi Stephen Kyle and Carson have had their hands full with the Vegas convention they are just wrapping things up so I am sure they will get back to you very soon I wouldn't worry about your membership just a small glitch, cheers Mike.
Steven, I've been here quite sometime now, computer glitches happen now and then. That said, though it can be unnerving, don't fret man, you're safe.
Kyle and Carson have been hard at work behind the scenes, making improvements to WA. This last week has been especially busy for them, and they're probably playing catch up :)
No worries my Friend, send another ticket if you like, but don't, just don't get worried. You're safe Friend
Have a relaxing day
Your Friend
Joseph
Thanks, Jozeph :)
Yeah, perhaps, all is well.
I'll just wait it out for a few more days. See what happens :)
Cheers :)
Be patient! I am sure your issues will be addressed! Yearly is the way to go as is your relationship with WA!!
Yeah, I am now regretting not sticking with the monthly-payment plan.
I'm in WA for the long haul, and I assumed that a yearly-plan is cheaper than paying each month (which it is, actually).
Thanks for the kind words, Jozeph :)
I'll wait a while, see what happens.
In the meantime, I'll grab a glass of apple cider, and cool off (LOL)
I can't help, sorry. I pay monthly but I would like to know the outcome of your situation for future reference. Good luck.
Yep, I'm at a loss. No idea what's wrong..............
The main thing is : I'm down 350 bucks!

Greetings.
Is there any way to block/prevent specific IP addresses from accessing one's website?
Thanks
I tried to install the Wordfence plug-in, but got this error message :
An error occurred
Your options have been saved, but we encountered a problem. You left your API key blank, so we tried to get you a free API key from the Wordfence servers. However we encountered a problem fetching the free key: There was an error connecting to the the Wordfence scanning servers: couldn't connect to host
I'm guessing WA would not allow wordfence?
I use Wordfence plugin. They are able to do the job. Try it out - https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/
