Abundant Thinking Day 11| Confidence Leads to Greater Abundance
On Day 11 of 12 Days of Abundant Thinking we examine the role confidence plays in our abundance. Take heart in what Eleanor Roosevelt said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
If you want financial abundance in your life you simply must have confidence in yourself to contribute the value that other people will pay you for creating. Never underestimate your value.Believe in yourself and the power within you to make an income-producing contribution to the world.
Nothing builds self-confidence like being true to one’s self. Self-confidence increases the more we are being authentic to our true self. We have higher self-esteem the more we hold ourselves accountable to be authentic to our values and keep our word to ourselves and others.
Taking purposeful action toward your vision and accomplishing the top daily objectives you set for yourself is powerful confidence builder. People who are truly confident value themselves and what they can give to the world by seeing their vision through to completion.
Some may mistake arrogance for confidence but they are not the same. Arrogant people believe they are superior. They often fake their lack of knowledge and find it hard to admit when they need help. Confident people believe in equality. Confident people know they are not better than anyone else but they believe that no one is better than them. They readily admit their need for help.
Confident people tell themselves, “I can be whomever I decide to be. Even if I have to do this afraid, I can do this.I can have this.I deserve to have this.” Pushing yourself to do things that you are afraid of builds self-confidence.
Most millionaires and billionaires have a high level of self-esteem. I love to listen to interviews with billionaires. They are often heard to say, “I am very proud of my accomplishments.” They exude confidence in themselves and their team.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT
Excellence is admirable but perfectionism is an enemy to confidence. Perfectionism keeps you from accomplishing your goals. You don’t have to be perfect to succeed. Of course it is right to demand excellence from yourself and your team mates but it’s unrealistic to drive yourself and others to perfection.
In fact, the root of insecurity is a feeling of lacking something. You may tell yourself, “I’m not good enough.I have a long way to go; I’m not there yet. I’m not good looking enough.”Stop focusing on your “I’m nots” and redirect your focus to your “I Ams.” What you declare yourself to be establishes your identity either positively or negatively.
12 Tips For Developing Higher Self-Confidence
-1- If you are a business owner, point out features and benefits by comparing your product or service but keep your focus on your vision. Learn from your competitors but never compare yourself to others.
-2- Make a list of your positive attributes. Keep a list of your past successes. Focus on what you are good at. Improve the thing you do best to mastery level.
-3- When talking to people, always maintain eye contact. Speak clearly and decisively. Be 100% present. Listen intently.
-4- Keep your body in shape. Eat healthy. Drink plenty of purified water and get plenty of rest and plenty of exercise.
-5- Dress for success. Wear nice clothes and shoes.Keep your skin, hair and nails impeccably groomed.
-6- Stand tall and sit straight.
-7- Maintain an open, relaxed posture.
-8- Show gratitude. Acknowledge the people who have helped you succeed. Acknowledge those who have made remarkable contributions to your industry.
-9- Become a mentor to people who want to advance in their career.
-10- Face your fears head on. The first 30 seconds of getting started is the hardest part to overcoming fear of anything.
-11- Surround yourself with a positive support system.Nothing derails self-confidence worse than being around people who are negative.Negative people rob you of the vital energy you need for focus and productivity.
-12- Never fear rejection.Everyone who meets success pushes through rejection.
The more productive you are, the more likely you are to accomplish the daily action steps that lead to the realization of the vision of your financial abundance. When all is said and done it’s what you actually do that matters most in creating abundance. It’s not what you started; it’s what you completed that builds your self-confidence.
Take a confident step toward your dream today.Don’t procrastinate another second. Norman Vincent Peale wrote, “If you put everything off till you are sure of it, you’ll get nothing done.”
DAY 11 ABUNDANCE AFFIRMATIONS:
(Be sure to hear yourself reading these out loud.)
I act today as though it is impossible for me to fail.
Unless I quit, I’ll never be whipped. I’ll never be whipped because I refuse to quit.
If something does not work one way, the creative I AM abundance in me will find a different way.
I am a champion; I refuse to listen to the voice of failure.
I work every day to perfect my skills and master my platform of contribution.
I love myself as God loves me, unconditionally and without reservation.
The more I love myself, the more my capacity to love and add value to others grows.
My sense of true esteem enables me to make wise judgments and healthy choices.
My sense of true esteem enables me to take calculated risks because I have given myself permission to make mistakes without fear of failure or reprisal from others.
I have a wealthy mind and I must have a wealthy body to carry out my life purpose.
I take care of my body. I exercise each day and I consume only those things in the right portions that lead me to greater health and well-being.
The more I take care of my body, the more my confidence soars.

I understand how real fear is. Facing our fear is not something to be lightly diminished by those who have never had cause to fear.
I truly believe that one way fear comes to us is from those we trusted or somehow looked to for our care. Whether it be unthinking parents, teachers, siblings, spouses or clergymen...what they instill in us as children, young adults and even mature adults can lead us to a path of either fear or confidence in our life.
How I applaud you, dear Hilda, for confronting and overcoming whatever fear you faced.

Most important thing that most people should realized is that true love comes from within yourself, believing in you and loving your self is first and foremost important before you can share love with another. The most troubling thing is finding someone that is one the same level of thinking and can forgive themselves for past mistakes and move on.
Not to rain on your wonderful posts and everything, but I found self guidance and confidence, which came from within me, not from the bible. I was always at ease with my own inner strength and found it from a more spiritual level I guess you could say.
Still great advice and its wonderful that you share all this wealth of information with everyone.
Keep up the great work, doesn't mean it is not sinking in or helping others.

Yes, I can relate exactly. Loving ourselves is a primary foundation toward abundance! There are many profound truths from many sources that lead us to our conclusions, the best of which lead us to know with certainty that love comes from within.
I think some people do have a greater depth within themselves than others which makes them at ease with themselves and the world around them. For that I can understand why you are truly grateful.
Much of what we have internalized as adults comes from how we are raised...who our mentors and parents are....what values were instilled at early formative years.
Some are reared by open-minded and nurturing parents and others are reared in less fortunate circumstances and as a result need to overcome the negative influences in their life.
I for one tend to be open to the many sources of wisdom that are available to all who need help in developing the precious gifts and potential within. I am grateful to know you better, dear Kim.

I lost my Mom when I was 10 and my half brother when I was 17. So we had a great deal of things to learn on our own as children. I was the middle child and I was the go between, the cook, the honor roll student, the peace maker...etc.
My Dad was hard core old school and very difficult at times to get along with...I would have to say more verbally abusive than the old school ways of taking the belt off, all though he did occasionally, no biggie...just another wise tail to tell I suppose..Lol.
Anyways, I learned a great deal about helping others even if you were not able to achieve more yourself. There is always help there, just finding it is the biggest love of all. How you choose to do it is up to each and everyone of you.

Some fail to make the connection, but authenticity and integrity both in life and business need to be congruent. When life and business work together, our confidence both in who we are and what we offer soars.
I find it difficult to promote anyone or anything that I do not have 100% confidence in. I must have confidence in myself and whomever it is I promote to sell the value.
