I just need the free site for now. Thank you, Nina Shoop
Hello,
Sadly, once you go Premium, you can't downgrade to Starter. Your best bet is to cancel your membership here and start a new free account:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/membership/manage
It should be noted that your free website does get removed after 6 months if you don't go premium...
How do I cancel my membership?

OR how has it been valuable to you personally?
Nina,
There is no monetary value at all, but it provides a wealth of motivation which aids me personally in building a solid foundation! I also take things slower since I am not in a hurry to make money--I have other income streams. The money will eventually come--of that I am certain! Not to mention, I learn an awful lot of what to do and not to do from the people in the community, which greatly enhances all the quality training here!
I hope this helps!
Jeff
You'd be surprised what you can learn that you might not have had to the opportunity to do until you engaged in a conversation, Ross!
It isn't about the ranking, the ranking is about the interaction. The interaction is beneficial to everyone because you never know where the good stuff, for you or for someone else might come from. My ranking has plummeted recently because I've been too busy to spend time here but I am not concerned. I will jump back in when I am ready.
It's what it takes to get it! That's the crux of the matter, so if I get a better rank, it follows that I'm sticking with the plan by helping others and communicating -essentially being active.
So it's all about the work ethos.
I like this question, thought provoking indeed.
I was going to put the definition of distraction here but on the dictionary website there was the 'Word of the day' which I just had to follow the link on. The word was 'Soniferous'. It intrigued me, which was why I had to see what it meant. In case you're wondering what it means, which I'm sure you are, it means:
"conveying or producing sound."
I'm not sure if I would ever need to use the word 'soniferous' but I now have that new found knowledge, which might come in useful at some point.
The added bonus of this whole thing is that, now you know what it means, along with any one else who cares to read this comment.
Sorry, what was the question ? I got distracted, my bad.
Valuable personally, in that, It is the push to do more and be more. I have read more, learned more than I have in a while. For me, it is like a plate spinning on a pin, giving it a spin to keep it going, keeps me going. I don't want to watch that plate fall.
I've been a member for a LONG time and will continue to be a member even though I stray alot. Hey, being retired is hard work. LOL. In any case, at one time, I was #15. I know, hard to believe right?.
While I loved writing WA blogs, it was something else that took a lot of time away from my sites. The more blogs you write, the more time it took to respond and keep my rank.
Although WA is not designed to be a social media site, it's really nice to communicate with like minded people and you do meet a lot of people here. In fact, some have become very good friends and have even arranged to meet in person. They can also help keep you inspired on those bad days -- and we all have them.
Having said this, the benefit of higher rank (to me) is if you are heavily promoting WA. It's nice for your potential "enrollees", if you will, to see that you have a high rank.
I will continue to write WA blogs periodically but will NOT do so simply for rank. I guess you have to determine your own priorities and goals.

When do rankings change? Is it daily, random or a set time?
Thanks, Mtmama or Nina
It’s funny that you just responded and now my ranking changed!!
I think it is at 11am, my time in the Pacific time zone of the US. I’m in Seattle, WA!
My rank just improved (dropped) over a thousand!
How are you doing?

If I don't have my website up and running can I add my WA link to my personal Facebook page?
Facebook don't like links, since links drives people to somewhere else, facebook wants to keep you on their site, so if you're to put links, like on a page you're promoting or boosting.
But here's a trick, place your links with a space like-
http://whatever{space}.com. in some cases you can ask you friends to just close the space, some would know right away that the space has to close before entering browser.
Facebook don't pick it up as a link cause it wouldn't be a live link.
Try that
Yes you can but no I wouldn't :) The problem is that Facebook is VERY finicky and WA members have clearly abused affiliate links in the past.... it has made it hard for those promoting WA in the right way to share their affiliate links on social media. What I recommend you do is write posts on your website and include your WA link there and then share those posts on your profile :)
You can. Make sure cloak it using a generic domain you already have or simply use a cloak tool.

If we do, can they follow our referral link and go Premium or do they have to be people who have never been to WA before and then join WA?
Yes Nina, there are incentives you can offer, and Kyle speaks about this in his bootcamp training: Offering Bonuses the Easy WA Hope you find this helpful.
Hi Nina, one of the unique things about WA is that they offer lifetime cookies, so if someone is exposed to your affiliate link then if they come as a starter and then if they go premium they become your referral.
If someone is already here they have accepted an invitation from someone to try out WA.
This could be you or any other member of WA, it is inclusive to the affiliate link that they joined under.
Hope that makes sense.
Alex
I would assume that the people who got them here get the commission as it is the system. Their referral link is official ours is only through influencing them to take action.
It appears slightly unjust as the people they come through sometimes don't ever make contact again with them but system is the system. Don't worry though your rewards are in heaven! ;
R.
Thanks, Rambo, haha! I know it’s Ramco!
Yes, I am sure that my rewards are in Heaven too, but something for my Time On the site would be nice too!
Thanks for commenting! Always good to connect with great folks like you!
Blessings, Nina
Nina,
I hear you.... I'm not bragging I am in double digits in my month, however this system is based on a pay it forward basis and one can see through our comments what persuasion is being offered.
I also know that both Kyle certainly and Carson when he has spare time scour these boards and are well aware of goings on.
So although it is not immediate as it well deserves to be, I am sure something will be factored in to compensate for the time and work.
You'll find this funny in my time in Africa there was this saying "monkey works baboon eats" as the monkey is busy working knocking fruits of the trees the baboons just sit below and eat the fruit....lols ;
R.
Congrats on the double digits! So cool!!
Thanks for your story about the monkey end baboon it reminds me of a children’s story. Maybe I’ll have my son illustrate and I will author my version of it!! I’m getting into this helping & sales mindset.
~nina
See an even better idea with the potential of earning you more money than a referral. Hope you remember me for a modest commission when you do...lols!!!!
Thank you for thinking my persuasion powers are cool I think yours are pretty cool too!!...lol
