Hey Earl,
You can customize your blog from your admin dashboard (Appearance>>Customize).
Go to layout>>Blog, and scroll down to see the options whether to add feature image above or below the Blog title.
If you need any more help, ask!
Rudy
I only have 2 options there, excerpt or full content, there are other options in premium maybe that is one. Thank you anyway
Hey Earl,
Alignment of the post title and featured image is dependent on the theme you choose.
If you're really happy with your theme, you could find their WordPress.org page and submit a ticket to see if they can assist you with CSS code to add in order to change the alignment to your liking.
Or...
You can choose a theme where the title appears above the featured image.
Hope you find this helpful.
Hi Earl. You haven't said which theme you're using. I use Kadence Theme because it's very flexible, and on my site, the title is deliberately set above the featured image.
;-)
Richard
you could always not have hte featured images show and use it as the first one in the post - under the headline and maybe even some words....
if using gp then kyle did a short vid on how to remove the featured image from your posts....
personally this is why i use blocksy or oceanwp or kadence themes...

Hey, Guys, I've gotten through after watching Kyle's video. The trick is to set the image in the post at the very top, which allows the headline to be at the top. Then, set your feature image and use the CSS code to remove it from the top when you go to the post. It will still show up in your blog roll, post on social media, etc. Still.
Thanks again guys
Yep. Even in Kyle’s video he speaks about having your headline above, and like I said don’t know if it makes any difference with google but all the top sites I looked at have the heading above which kind of make sense to me, google crawlers check headlines I think it should be at the very top. But thanks again for checking in.

Does anyone know how to remove "Build by Generate Press" from the bottom of your site? Thanks for your info in advance.
I would keep credit for the theme's developers.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-footer-credit/
GeneratePress has an affiliate program. I keep the credit in my footer, but make it an affiliate link. ;)
This is from the GP documentation:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/changing-the-copyright-message/
Ha!
After a wild search through my docs, I found the code to use to remove the GP footer tag:
What :GeneratePress Ribbon removal css
Where: Under Additional CSS.
To remove both copyright and Bult by GP, simply add this Code snippet:
.copyright-bar {
display: none;
}
.site-info {
display: none;
}
(Site info refers to the Built with GP tag.)
Go to Appearance>>Customize>>Additional CSS.
Open and scroll to end of column, At #1 blue line, add the code :
.site-info {
display: none;
}
Then publish.
Rudy
I was unsuccessful with that code. What it does is hide everything. I need the site and copyright. It seems like premium when I check.
Thanks anyhow
Or, you could invest by paying $59 for GP premium and reap the benefits that it offers.
The annual renewal price is about half.
Rudy
You would need to pay for the premium version to have it removed.
It is not a big deal to have it there anyway
You choice
Hi Earl
I believe you need the premium version of the theme to remove it.
You might see if AI can generate some CSS code for you to add to the “additional css” area that will remove it.

I actually forgot how to locate my sitemap, can someone provide a video link or instructions?
Many Thanks in advance.
Sitemaps are beneficial. I sometimes get lost going to the kitchen, and sometimes upon arrival I forget why I went in the first place. Glad you got it figured out Earl.

Hi Earl,
GeneratePress can offer a different look to each website, depending on how you customize it, or if you choose one of their templates in their library. (Pro version only I think?)
That being said, Astra is another theme that comes to mind. It is fast and lightweight as well.
