I am having same problem and did go to the profile page to try and send a message. Any other suggestions?

Do you mean when you try to send a private message?
The best way to send a pm is, to go to the profile page of the person and click on "Private Message". (Not sure if there is even an other way?)
Worked for me all the time.
If not, then I guess it's a bug and you have to try again a bit later.

Can I delete my current website I started here at WA about a week ago and start over from scratch. If so do I just go recreate another one the same way I did the first one?

If you delete your old website, it will be deleted complete from the hosting and it will disappear.

If you have transferred your website, you will need to make sure that you transfer all the files over here as well. Just because you updated your DNS, does not mean that your website is hosted here.

I am using to post my progress / steps I am taking toward my WA goals. You can use it for that or I have seen people post general comments about how they feel, where they feel they are in life, etc.

It's just a blank slate for whatever you want the community to know.
