Hey Linda,
Not sure why you feel that you need any security plugin when hosting here on WA severs. They have the servers secured so that we do not need any security plugins whatsoever. See screen print below...
Here's their link where this is all explained: https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/hosting/
Hope you find this helpful.
Then security is not what you need. Where is the spam coming from?

I finally found the old photos (some over thirty years ago) that I want to add to my web site. Any suggestions for getting them digital?
I use a scanner and then use the MS Paint program that all Windows-based PCs have to compress the memory size so it doesn't slow down my website.
Your local photography shop might offer that service. I had mine done at my local shop. The photos needed repair and enhancement and they did a wonderful job. I'm not using them online but I emailed the photos to my family overseas. ~Jude
I have done that for my personal use, just wasn't sure the quality would be good enough for the site.
Thank you I will try it
This source gives very good how to direction. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/columnist/komando/2014/12/12/easy-ways-to-digitize-your-old-photos/20072417/
Thank you Mike. Just uploaded the Heirloom app. Will see how it goes!
Have a great evening
Linda
I just take pictures of pictures with digital camera or my phone! I take them as close up as I can without distorting and I make sure I do not get anything in the background! They usually turn out pretty good! Then I can post them!

This website is not hosted from WA. It is one I purchased. I have been getting a lot of spam.
