Using Private Message to gain comments is NOT DONE
Since 2 years we have a great comment thread.
You GIVE 2 comments and you GAIN 1 comment.
Sending a PM afterwards to get a comment back is NOT DONE!
When people leave a comment on your website via the comment thread, you CAN NOT send a PM to ask for a comment in RETURN!
This also counts for
the give and take a comment thread.
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Comment on at least 3 websites
Step 2: Post a link to your page or post that you need comments on at the very top of this discussion (as a new comment)
So, you GIVE 3 comments, and after that you enter your website URL. It's not so that the ones you've commenting on HAVE to return the comment! They already GAVE 3 comments before they added their website URL's. Ask for returning comments is NOT DONE!
When you need more comments, go the regular way, give 2 comments, gain 2 credits, and buy 1 comment. That's the deal!

I love giving and receiving comments. What sucks is that I never get an email when I get a reply on my comment. Why not? Is there a setting I missed?
Most times I'd like to continue with the conversation but can't cause then I forget...
I check it up, a couple of days in the comment thread, an email service would indeed save time and be more accurate

Thank you, Loes. I wasn't exactly sure how that commenting works anyway. I gave a comment but wasn't able to give a comment on the next request that came up. I didn't know if it was like one per day or something.
Loes just ignore them when they leave you a private message soliciting a comment on their website from you and they will understand the message or point them the right way. Public critique is not necessary in my humble opinion.
