Swag team, Crafting Your Website Design Week 2
This week was totally beyond expectation. One of the assignments was
Crafting Your Website Design
It started all with the recent WP update
My header went baloney due to the WPForms plugin, not reacting nice on the update, support stepped in twice, I hope it's resolved now.
My pagination stopped working
Gif's on my posts stopped working and looked like this
Target_blank disappeared
A lot of external link just didn't open in a new tab anymore.
That kept me quite busy.
- I had to replace the broken plugin with another one.
- I am still checking every link I see if it opens in a new tab
- I created a new header, but I am not yet fully satisfied.
- I added 140 featured images on top of my posts and a read more tag, so now my blogroll shows excerpts with images.
- I found a plugin solution for my not working blogroll pagination.
- I updated my widgets, most HTML where still in a text widget, I replaced them into Custom HTML widgets.
- I wrote 3 posts this week with 2359 words total, and rewrote my WA review 1534 words.
- I checked a lot of pages for my grammar, owwhow, that would make you cry, my first posts were so dreadful, I found hundreds of errors!
- I helped a few, left and right here, and wrote a WA training.
- I made a new corner popup, down right, not interfering with the reading.
Things to do
- My categories don't show the featured image yet, I want to find out how to get them there. But that has no hurry.
- Keep on checking links
- Total words of Swag posts is now 9596, still 2404 to go for the 12000 required words
- I have written 11 posts, 12 is the bare minimum, right on track.
- It has not yet come to it to enter live chat last week, once I went in there, and out again pretty soon.
I have to schedule time for unexpected surprises

Oh, how dreadful with all the extra work.
You seem to take it quite easy though!
I have not made the WP update yet. How glad I am for that. Have to try another backup than the WP-Clone, which isn't compatible with the latest version of WP.

It’s so frustrating when something goes wrong and upsets the whole apple art, you would think technology by now would be able to recognise an issue and just shut that particular plugin down before it does any damage.

Yes, after the peak there is a slope, so now you are down the hill and the feeling is amazing:)
I much prefer your previous header image :( and your popup covers the cookie notice. You probably don't see it because you've already dismissed the cookie notice. If you try a different browser you'll see what I mean.
The pagination seems to be working fine now.
I see you have been really busy Loes, hope that problem get solved soon.
Do you have a paid theme on your site?
I'm also working on SWAG work to do, still need to work on write more content for my site.

Sorry to hear you had to go back... I've had to back and do maintenance work on mine and a long way to go on them.
You're definitely an inspiration to me. You have accomplished a lot.
I am so glad I choose this website to work on again, it's a lot of work but very rewarding
