About Pernilla
Joined February 2017
Hello!

I'm ready to take off! My name is Pernilla and I joined Wealthy Affiliate in February 2017. Well, I'm not actually a pilot, if you're wondering about my profile Picture. I visited Cape Caneveral last year - very exciting! This journey of mine at Wealthy Affiliate, as a newbie in the affiliate online business, is kind of preparing for a rocket Launch into new athmospheres.

I originally come from Sweden but for many years now I live in Switzerland. Yes the two Euroupean countries starting with Sw...! Well Sweden is the bigger one up in the North (where the reindeers and elks walk around free in the woods - really true, but there is no icebears walking around). Switzerland is the small one right in the heart of Europe. Even if I live in a country which figures in most thrillers like the bankvalve of the world, I haven't made millions of franks, I still have to work hard for my money. Anyhow I have a real and true treasure and that's my swiss husband :-)

In my spare time I love to travel, read books, do sports like running and bike (just for fun and excercise), hiking in the nature, enjoy our garden. My favourite Season is the Christmas Season!

Now, why have I joined this learning platform? That's because I have for several years wished to be independant and be free to choose myself when and where I work. Most of all I wish to be able to visit my family and friends in Sweden more often without beeing tied to an employment. For some time ago I found out about the possibility of affiliate marketing. I'm happy to have found this place, a serious platform, to learn this business.

Thanks for reading all this. I'm looking forward to my journey together with you.

:-) Pernilla

Hi, Pernilla, it's lovely to meet you. I stumbled upon you on someone else's page and loved the pilot/take-off analogy. You have lived in two beautiful parts of the world ... both beginning with Sw :) I've been to one of them (your present one) and absolutely loved it!!

I've done a bit of flying myself (got my PPL in Cessna) but mostly jumped out of them (including out of helicopters, microlights, Hercules 130, and others) lol

I wish you every success along your "flight-plan" here in WA.
All the very best

Hello Gary!
I'm very happy that you landed at my profile page! Thank you so much for your kind words.

You are a real adventurous person! Jumping out of airplanes is not something I long for, but I love flying. Feel a bit safer with something around me. Did take a Cessna-lesson once, it was just fantastic. As a flight attendant I had the opportunity now and then to sit on the jumpseat in the cockpit during start and landing.

See you at your profile page!

Hi Pernilla,

Thank you for adding me to your network. I liked reading your story - lovely and lively written, with a poetic touch and sense of humor. And (ha-ha!) not that I don't know the difference between the two countries you've lived in, but it always takes me a few extra seconds to connect in my head the name with the place since both names start with the same letters. Well, now I made an association, which I hope will speed up my thinking: the bigger country - the shorter name and vice versa. :)

I look forward to our journey together and wish us great success in this venture.

I came across your profile via the very kind message you sent to Debbie which made me to click on your name. You have interesting profile and I am sure you will achieve your online aspirations. Like you I am a newbie and not techie at all, so regardless how "easy" some claim this to be ... for me its not, and remains quite daunting.

Ha! A little Friday evening trivia. In English Switzerland is the longest single word country name without any repeated letters!

Hello Richard!

I'm very pleased to meet you! Thank you so much for your kind words.

I'm happy to be part of WA - great guidance and a wonderful and helpful community. I wish, I had come further on in the certification course, than I have, but better "slowely but surely" than not at all.

I love the english language - thank you for telling about that interesting "trivia". "Useless" information can make the difference and often brings a good laugh. Looking forward to hear more trivias from you.

Thank you your kind words. I do appreciate. We share similar frustration at our slowish plod thru the Training. However was it not the Tortoise whom finally crossed the line ahead of the hare!

Today on the Costa del Sol, where I live now, has been misty & muggy. Not conducive to productivity! Even my dog, Benni, sought the solace of shade! Sleep beckons so I'll leave next trivia to another day.
Kind regards

Thanks for following me back Pernilla. I love Christmas too...though here in Western Australia its summer time when Christmas comes around...having grown up in Europe - it really feels weird having a BBQ & cold beers on the beach instead of snow and raindeers! =) Good luck on your journey here...and may it take you to the stars!

Oh, you love Christmas like I do :-)

Yes, it must feel kind of weird with sunny hot weather and BBQ at Christmas. But I know that Australia is a wonderful and very exciting country. Visited "Down Under" for about 10 years ago. Me and my husband stayed in Perth for two months and the following four months we traveled around the whole continent. Wonderful memories. Longing to go there again.

Wish you a good flight to the stars as well!

Wonderful to hear that you have Swedish origine. Millions of Swedish people emigrated to the American Continent in the 1800's. Well, from all over Europe people emigrated to the promising continent across the Atlantic.

How wonderful to hear that your Family originates from Sweden. In the 1800's about 1/3 of the swedish population emigrated to the American continent - but I suppose you know even more about that than I do.

I'm looking forward to networking with you! Thank you also for your support. I was happy to read your comment on my question the other day.

Pernilla,
Thank you for the kind words. People think that retirement is an extended vacation where you have no problems. This is not the case. My late father said being a Senior citizen is not for the faint of heart. When he said it I couldn't really understand it, but now I am beginning too.

As far as the cancer I am doing quit well. I am in remission, I am done with treatment, and free to go about my business.

I now am able to restart my work on Wealthy Affiliate. If things go off the track I have my faith which is getting stronger.

Overall I am working on a positive attitude.

You take care and continue moving on WA.

Question. Do people in Sweden hunt reindeer or are the protected.

Regards
Dick Howard

P.S If I grew a beard I could be a Santa's Helper. I would also have to get my hair to grow. After Chemo it is slow to grow. LOL

Dick,
It's very good to hear that you are feeling well now. Having a positive attitude is always good, for your health, for your mind and for having a successful life and business.

Wild reindeers does not exist any more in Scandinavia. Already around 1870, yes about 145 years ago, the reindeer vanished because of hunting. Very sad but true. The reindeers we have now in the North of Scandinavia are all domesticated by the Sami people.

Now I wish you all the best restarting your business.

I'm going to concentrate more on my business now, really want to get independant soon.

See you around, take care,
Pernilla

P.S. Dick, you would be a wonderful Santas Helper!

Oh I found out you live in Switzerland by reading your full Bio. Are there any of Santa's reindeer in the woods of Sweden. In the states in the early 1800's a guy by the name Clement More wrote a poem about St Nick and he had a sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer. I read it every Christmas to some of my grand kids.

Just a sorry attempt at humor. 50,000 comedian out o work and I try to be funny.

Hey Pernilla I like the cheering up part. Last fall I contracted Lymphoma which wasn't diagnosed until the first week of December. From October on I felt extremely horrible. There is no description that can tell how bad I felt. I lost 30 to 40 pounds in two months. The first week of December was spent in a local hospital. On Friday a doctor came in and told me I had cancer of the lymphoids. I went through Chemo and I am now in remission.

I don't know what country you live in, but I was watching a show about Bernie Madoff. His son Andrew died in 2010 of Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Being the curious type I Googled mantle cell lymphoma, and some of what I found was really scary. There are about 500 of Lymphomas (B Cell and T cell). Some of them can kill you.

During treatment I did well. I was in remission after the 4th of 6th treatments. There is a young man I know who is in his 30's who is in hospice. He is married and has two young children. So this is sad. In our church we have had many deaths. The founder of our church died two months ago. A man who had 9 kids dropped dead one Saturday. Now my friend is terminal and near death. I'm trying not to be two dark, and I do feel fortunate to be in remission.

I still believe you progress is exceptional. I have been in for over a year, with a 7 month sabbatical, and I am still not as far as you. You should be very proud of yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back. You have done great.

Dick, you are going through a hard time, I'm so sorry. I really hope that you are healthy and sound now. It's so sad to hear about your friend.

Here in Switzerland where I live, and also in Sweden in the region where my parents and relatives live, there are many people who are diagnosed with cancer. It seems to me that the cases of this illness are increasing. I believe there are different reasons why. For example the processed food with it's artificial preservatives, the electro smog, the pesticides in the agriculture and so on. I could list many more examples.

I have read about a man who had got the diagnosis cancer. His doctor said he was soon going to die. This man didn't want to accept that - he changed his habits and abandoned all meat, sugar and processed food. He ate almost only raw food and fruit. One year after the diagnose he was declared to be fully recovered and healthy, without any radiation or any other medicaments. I have read other stories like this and another very important thing is to believe that you will recover and that you have something dear to fight for and live for.

Thank you so much for encouraging me in my aims here at WA learning the online business. Dick it's fully understandable that you have not been able to come as far as you wish, concerning the illness you have endured. I'm sure you will make it. Some of my mottos are "Better late, than never" and "Slowly but surely".

We have to believe in ourselves and keep going!

Take care! Let's keep in touch!

Good morning Pernilla,

How this computer drives me up the wall. I had just written quite a long text and something goes wrong, I am somewhere else and when I got back the text had disappeared, so frustrating.
My oldest friend is Marie from Sweden. We met in Switzerland in 1966 when we shared a room during 3 months in a Suisse Internat.
I am happy you liked the information about the world library. As I was disappointed with the feedback on my second post I have now taken it as a habit to approach people directly. As one is literally overwhelmed with messages every day I think that this second post I wrote just got overlooked.
Wishing you all the best and good luck.

Yes, every now and then the computers drives me crazy too, especially at my workplace, when the system fails in the middle of an customer order.

Please, don't be disappointed about the feedback on your posts. There are hundreds of hundreds of posts and then it is only natural that our posts not are read by a big audience. I haven't got that many readers of my blogs yet, but I'm happy about every single one who takes his/her precious time to read and like my posts. I think you are doing perfect, to take action and tell people about your blogs, tips and tricks. If you help the people in the community, soon more and more people want to get to know you better and want to read your posts. Good morning Pernilla,

As I told you I was disappointed with the feedback on my post as I got 6 messages and 8 likes. By personally telling people about it the score is now 12 and 19 so I think it is worth my extra effort.
I got a computer against my wish and will end Nov. 2013. I always say I belong to the handwritten letter generation. I used it only for emails/photos and following Master classes and Summits on subjects, I am interested in. That I am now making websites is a milagro, I have the idea, no problem with writing or layout but my better half has to do the technical stuff.

Hi Pernilla
Your synopsis is well written, with a theme that is directed toward becoming financially independent and is not restricted by location. WA supplies all the tools and unlimited personal assistance necessary, including live chats, for premium members to achieve financial independence, with a goal of making each and every Affiliate their own boss. The courses and training videos may keep you up at night, but if you stick with it, you will reap the financial benefits that are determined by the amount of time and effort asserted. The Affiliate members have a special camaraderie with one another, sharing information, and assisting new comers, just for the asking.
I could say “Good Luck” but I know that it’s time and effort that will guide you to where you want to be.
Happy Sailing

Bin dabei, Wealthy Affiliate kennenzulernen. Mache den Get Started Course.
Susanne, Deine Website gefällt mir sehr gut. Sehr übersichtlich mit interessantem Inhalt und gut geschrieben.
Have a great day!
Pernilla
