Hi,

My websites were previously hosted at Hostgator and I could use CP to forward one domain to another.

How do I do that here at Wealthy Affiliate?

Thanks,</

Thanks Guys,

I don't think I was very clear with my question,

I have already moved my nameservers to WA some time ago.

What I am trying to do is forward one of my websites domain to another domain, both are hosted here at WA.

So when someone types in one url it will redirect to another site of mine.

Apologies for not being clear in my question.

Andrew.

Ok I get what you're saying you just want the URL to point to your new one. If your domain is still on hostgator here are the instructions: https://support.hostgator.com/articles/cpanel/url-redirect-how-to-create

There are a couple of plugins that will help, one is called "Redirection" or "Quick Page/Post Redirect", the first being the newest.

Use a redirection plugin. There are several plugins out there. I use this one - easy to use. Be sure to use a 301 redirect.

Or you might be able to use Pretty Link - if you are already using that plugin. It is actually a redirection tool. I would probably try that first.

Left side of page click websites, when the box pops up click on domains manager. scroll down there is a box to transfer domains to WA

Do you want to forward the domain, or actually move the domain to WA? Rather than forward my old domain, I moved it from godaddy to WA. The process was simple.

Go to your site manager and there is a spot to move a domain to WA. You will need to go to hostgator and go into your domain manager and request to move your domain. They will provide an authorization code that you will copy and paste in your WA site. This allows WA to take over managing your domain. The process takes a few days to go through but it is all on their end.

I hope this helps. You can forward the domain but I think this is the better option. This way everything is in one easy to manage place.

I also agree with Simon that it is probably better to completely transfer your domain to wealthy affiliate rather than just pointing your name servers to WA.

If I understand your question you're wanting to point domains at Wealthy Affiliate correct? If so these are the correct name servers:

Primary:ns1.mywahosting.com
Secondary:ns2.mywahosting.com

If you go to websites->site domains it will tell you how to transfer your sites o here or away.

Hi,

I am moving house but cannot find a way to update my new address.

Thanks for help,

Andrew

Hey, hope move went smooth for you.I would let site support handle the change in address.

Thanks for sharing

How have you been Andrew?

Not heard from you for a while, I hope the health is back to normal?

Wayne

I don't thin that's necessary. We don't give our physical address here in WA, as far as I could recall. We are recognised by the email address we associate our account with WA.

Hope that solve it.

:)
Joe

No, we do if we fill in the billing details paying from the credit card monthly.:)

I agree with Jerryb2 that you should contact site support, because I looked and could not find where to change the address. Follow their instructions; SITE RUBIX, SITE MANAGER, UPPER RIGHT CORNER CLICK SITE SUPPORT & EMAIL THEM.

As far as I know Wealthy Affiliate doesn't have a record of your physical address.

It's saved automatically in Billing details if you pay from a credit card monthly. But one can easily change it manually in Account Settings.:)

Thanks for that Vera. I've only ever used PayPal for my subscription.

Yep, I know that it's different.:)

If you are paying via paypal, you can change it in Paypal too.

The only place you need it, is your credit card settings if you pay monthly. Go to Account Settings and there you will see Billing details. When you pay next time, you will change it manually.
Just in case- you go to Account Settings clicking on your avatar picture on the upper bar of your account.:)

Sorry forgot one step after clicking on Ruunix then click site manager. Then upper right corner site support.

Click on Rubix and upper right corner click on site help. They respond very quickly. Good luck hope this helps.
