You became an Ambassador! Great!
What is the first thing an ambassador should know?
Read the rules of the open education project, and apply the rules where necessary.
What is the second thing an ambassador should realize?
That their answers are unquestionable be taken for truth. So, when you answer a question, be totally sure about it, because people assume without a doubt that ambassadors give the right answers. When you are not sure, DON'T answer!
What is the third thing an ambassador should do?
Know where to find the perfect WA training or membership training to help people out and that it's preferable to share WA training above videos and information outside of WA.

Thanks Loes, already carry out these things. Good advice though for anyone who is new and is approaching the Ambassadorship fast and are not really sure about what they are doing. xxx
Thanks for the info Loes. I hope to make ambassador one day but it is secondary to my website at this point. You make a good point though, there is the perception that an ambassador is likely to have the correct answer. However, I think everyone here does their best to be helpful as possible. I've been here a little over a month and not had one question that I wasn't able to get the answer to. Some were ambassadors and some were not. That's what I love most about WA.

Hi Loes, great info, thanks for posting it. I just have one question; I was reading about the OEP and Kyle mentioned/showed us the WA forum, only I can't find a forum link anywhere? Kyle's dashboard looked completely different from mine.
Am I missing something or isn't there a forum here anymore? or is it just that I haven't been here long enough to be given access?
Anyway, if you can enlighten me I'd really appreciate it...

There have been some changes in appearances during the years, but you are on a part of the forum right now.
I will add a screenshot, when you click on the activity dashboard on the upper left, you'll get there, and you can click all kind of tabs
It seems that there was a real forum before.

It's much better as it is now, in my opinion. :)
I am not a big fan of those old-style forums. ^^
That's something everybody, not only Ambassadors, should know and follow.
Too often do I see wrong or vague answers from people who have a rather high rank.
I also don't like it when someone simply posts a Google search.
Doing that implies that the person who asked a question is too stupid to use Google search, in my opinion.
Let's say it SHOULDN'T be done by Ambassadors.
I won't point a finger but I have seen it from Ambassadors, too.
Not talking about you or the others who have been Ambassadors for many years, of course.

Unfortunately, not all people would think the same way.
But I don't want to hijack your valuable blog with my opinion about the ranking system. ;)
Thank you, not hijacking my blog, I am aware of the fact of the unimportance of ranking system. But we have to cope with it as long as it exists. And for that, make the best of it.
