Hi, my name is Cheryl Brown and I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate now for over 2 years and have two websites now up and running. The training I have had and the support from the Community here are second to none and I have learned so much from it all so far. I have now been an Ambassador for 226 days and as I had never even thought about, I am proud of myself for getting there.

I am married to my lovely husband David, we have a daughter Hayley who is 24 and twin boys Gavin and Euan who are 20. We have a wee dog named Jake who is 2 years old and a cat called Tootsie who is now 2 years old.

I live in Scotland, UK and have been here all my life with no intentions of leaving such a beautiful country. The only let down here is the weather as it is so unpredictable.

Hi Cheryl!
Thanks for adding me to your network, I’ve returned the favor.
I live in the state of Kansas in the middle of the U.S. and our weather is a bit unpredictable as well!
I’m sure I can learn quite a bit from you, and I’m looking forward to it!
Blessings,

Oh, Well-done, Chezbrown!! -- It's so nice to hear of another WA Member's progress and their background. - Scotland sounds like such a lovely place, and we have lots of lovely Scottish Folks who have emigrated out here to New Zealand... (for them, it's probably been rather like going to the "utter-most parts of the Earth!".... but I guess they liked what they saw and experienced, since lots of them stayed and built a pretty good life out here.
Many, - if not most of our Scottish Folk settled away.... sorry, - that's 'aweeeey' down (haha! :) -near the bottom of our South Island, in Dunedin! - Sound a bit familiar?? - And down there also, is a Castle I have visited, called Larnach Castle..(Lar.nach).
It is the only Castle we have in this Country, though if you ever decide to come on down and take a wee..(no joke intended, I use that word a lot!:)..scenic holiday Tour around our beautiful Country, you would soon find that there are certain parts of it which quite-closely resemble many other fine Countries of this World!! -- It gets very cold, and snowy 'aweeey dooon' there in our "Deep-South", as we like to call it, so perhaps that's what our Scottish New Zealanders found most to their accustomed liking! --
Here's a Link, to our New Zealand Website about this fascinating
Larnach Castle, with a wee bit of its history, its Restorative Developments, with the uses and Visiting Opportunities now! --
Enjoy, I hope! :) ---> https://www.larnachcastle.co.nz/ <---

Not too far North of Dunedin, is a South-facing....they must have liked the Ant-Arctic Cold wind coming up from the bottom of our World!!)...yes, -this time, it's a French Village, called Akaroa. There, all the Street Names are in French, -- even though the English language is predominant in NZ. - No problem, we all have fun testing-out our pathetic recollection of some distant sketchy 'lessons' we may have had, or take a wild guess at.. RueLavaud Street, or the like..-haha! .... Then there's Hanmer Springs! - Further North again yet often cold, and looking so similar, at least in parts, to an Austrian Village! .... And on it goes.... to away-up in the near-to tippy-top of our long and Paradise-like two major Islands.... to the much warmer, Temperate to Sub-Tropical Far-North of the North Island ....where I live! -- Obviously, I love the much-warmer climate, but I can well-understand how firmly-attached you have grown to your own beautiful Country! - It's what you like, and that's all that matters! :) ..... I've developed a little saying, when people seem surprised that I've been in this Town for 70+ years.....
.."If you live in Paradise, why move?" :)
Cheers, from New Zealand! - So nice to meet you in WA!!! :)
Jen.

Hi Jen, so nice to meet you and thank you for the lovely tour of your beautiful country of New Zealand. I have an uncle and cousins who live in New Zealand.

My uncle married a maori girl and they had 6 kids (3 girls, 3 boys). They lived in Huntly which was an hours drive from Auckland.

However when my aunt Millie (a real gem of a woman and I only ever got the chance to meet her once) passed away and the family were all grown up my uncle moved to Whangaruru where he now lives in a caravan on the beach and loves to go diving. Even though he is now in his 80's he still loves it.

The rest of his family are split between New Zealand and Australia.

You are right though, if you love a place then why should you leave it. I do love Scotland and am proud to be Scottish. Our only downfall is the unpredictability is the weather, other than that there is so much to do and see and the scenery when you go up the North of Scotland is amazing. xxxx

Hi MrsMee,

Yes, with the exception of the weather which can be very unpredictable I do like my life here in Scotland. There are so many beautiful places to visit with beautiful scenery so if you get the good weather it can be really nice just to drive and look at the scenery.

As you already know we have a two year old malshi (maltese/shi tzu cross) and a 3 year old tabby tortoiseshell cat who is a wee darling but very wary of people.

Animals certainly do bring value to our lives. xxxx

Thank you so much for following me. I am as you may know, but I am guessing becoming an ambassador is a worthy accomplishment, congratulations in your achievement. I can understand why you love your country so much. I have never been but have always wanted to experience your culture personally. On my list of places to travel and go where the locals love to chill out. As far as irradic weather. I totally feel you on that one since we experience the same here where we live in the U.S. Very pretty mind you but you never know if it's a clear weather from one day to the next. Again thanks for following me look forward to reading your posts. Cheers

Hi Mokha,

You are very welcome and thanks for following me back. I have to say that it was never my aim to get to Ambassador, it is a great achievement to reach but it is not the most important thing you need to do. Your main thing is to follow the training and get your website up and running. Never be afraid to ask for help though and most of all enjoy what you are doing.

Yes Scotland is a beautiful country and it basically is just the weather that can let us down which is a right shame.

Cheers as well and wishing you all the best on your journey here at WA. xxxx

Thank you Bill, I do always follow people here on social media and if you follow someone then they are able to follow you back from their social media platform if they so wish.

What I was basically referring to though is when you follow someone on Google+, do you then make the decision to click where it says about and you can add the person to your contacts. I basically just wondered if anyone else did this as I do when I follow someone.

I do keep meaning to put my social media links at the side but I keep forgetting.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. xxxx

Yes Cheryl, I see that you are well into 300 plus blogs and I find it inspiring that Wa has been a part of your life through these.

We too are an animal loving family and share space with grandma
"Ellie" and three other lap lovers, "Sam" being a bit over grown of my lap, but he tries just the same.

"Hardy" Mr. lovable cat who was named by my grandson, "Abel" for the big heart shaped marking on his coat.

And finally 3 horses who prance emboldened, awaiting their daily grain with a swinging of their heads, as if I am never on time.

So we share some common traits with these great additions to our lives and I find pleasure in knowing that what exists between us is found in other families experiences like yours.

Have a very special week of happiness and we will visit again.

Kind regards, David

Awww love your dog and cat names. We used to have a ginger tabby cat called Bob and he had such a brilliant nature and one day he had been out and he came in and dropped a dead mouse at my daughters feet, she nearly freaked out, anyway we told him to take the mouse back out which he did, but the next thing he came back in and did the same again but he had caught a bird this time, it was like he was saying "well you didn't like the mouse, will you like this instead", we just had to laugh as it was so funny to see him think this way.

It is really nice to have friends Jae and this is a great community to be part of and there is always someone who will be available. Hope you managed to get all your emails sorted quite quickly and back to the lessons.

Have a good day. xxx

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for following me, I have followed you back.
I am originally from NZ now living in Australia. I had to laugh when you said you have a wee dog. I have used that term a lot, being that N.Z.'s have a lot of scottish ways.
I also have a wee dog, a white poodle.
Good on you becoming an ambassador.
I am still struggling with getting one website up. I guess the first is
always the hardest.
I'm not rushing as I am going over and over the lessons to instill
everything in my mind.
Hope to hear you around.

You are very welcome Jae and thanks for following me back.

I have an uncle in NZ and one in Australia who I visited away back in 1981 and I have to say that out of the two I preferred NZ as it really reminded me so much of Scotland. I use the word wee a lot for lots of different things, it is very much a Scottish word lol.

What is your wee dog called?

It was never my intention to become an Ambassador, it just sort of happened. It has taken a long time and a lot of very hard work and a lot of helping people, all of which I have absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed.

You will get there with your website and you have the right frame of mind in that you do not intend to rush the lessons. When I started I had no idea what I was doing and therefore started with bootcamp. I am now a year and a half down the line and I still haven't finished the training. I work on it at my own pace and make sure I get it right before I move onto the next lesson.

You will certainly hear me around Jae, don't worry about that lol. xxx

Hey Cheryl, Squeakums is the oldest. I've had her for 10 years now. Sessie is probably between one and a half to two years old.

Sessie is a neighborhood kitty that I took in. Can't stand to see animals without a home if I can help it.

Squeak is in the process of getting used to Sessie. Squeaks brother of the same litter passed away in Sept.2016, His name was Puff. He was an amazing cat who chased dogs out of our yard. I really miss him.

Squeak has more than enough new company in Sessie though, mountains of energy are in that Sessie!

Hi, Cheryl,

It's awesome to meet you and thank you for following me. I was literally here and about to do the same but I think you beat me to it :) Thank you :)

Your statement there about your "wee dog named Jake" brought back fond memories of when we lived in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. The language and colloquialisms are very similar to the Scottish ones. I also enjoy a "wee dram" :)

Congratulations on your Ambassador accomplishment. Well deserved!

Wishing you every success,
Gary

No problem Gary you are very welcome and sorry to beat you to it lol.

The Scottish and Irish are very similar and I hope you have a "wee dram" quite often. I am not a whisky lover, but I do love Drambuie and Baileys but obviously not together lol. Wouldn't like that kind of sore head in the morning.

Thank you very much, I just worked away at helping everyone and anyone who needed help as well as doing the training and such like. I never intentionally set out to be an Ambassador like I know some people do so it was a nice surprise to get there although it did take me a while but I don't mind.

Every success back to you too Gary. xxxx

Hi cheryl. Just saying Hi as I am finally home and gaining some ground each day. Not able to be doing as much yet, but still being able to do even the little things is good. Hugs and thanks for all you do. P.S. I lost my ambassador standing. LoL. I figured that would happen but it is just a title.

Chezbrown Premium
Hello, you always seem to appear to me just when I am thinking about you and wondering how you are getting on. So happy to hear that you have finally got home but take it easy still for a while and as you say just little things at a time.

I wouldn't worry about losing your ambassador standing as you will get there again when you are a lot lot better. I have lost mine too but managed to stay there for 26 days. At number 26 still though so could go back or could go the other way not sure.

You are very welcome and you were very deserving of the hugs when I sent them to you too. Keep in touch and let me know that you are getting better. So nice to hear from you again xxxx.

Thank you, Cheryl. You are the best and I will stay in touch. I think they should construct the plan a little better to encourage more people to help. It is hard to do and still keep up with your own sites never mind getting sick. :) They are too quick to take away rather than encourage or find out what is happening. Oh well, it is a big site with a lot happening so I get that too. I just like to help and that is most important as I think it is for you too. Have an awesome day Cheryl.
Reply
Chezbrown Premium
Awww thank you and I don't know about being the best but I will certainly do my best to help people whenever I can and I do agree that you should not lose your ambassadorship if you are not here or can't keep going because you are sick. There should be a part where that if you are really bad as you have been, that they can keep your rank open for a week or so to see what is happening. They are very quick to take things away but there is nothing we can do apart from keeping on keeping on what we are already doing. You rest and take it easy and have an awesome day too. xxx

MsMerry Premium
Thank you, Cheryl. I will be keeping on keeping on! It is nice to have someone else back you up and I appreciate that. I dived from 25 to 63 pretty quickly. I try and help a few more each day and of course take time off for virtual coffee time with you and Tammi. LoL!
And you do a mighty fine job of helping others, Cheryl. Yours is one of the easiest to 'get' tho'. Maybe because I am a visual learner and you made that possible. :)
Reply
Chezbrown Premium
Good morning Merry, just do a wee bit each day and get stronger every day too. You will get back there when you are a lot better and stronger so don't worry. We will enjoy our virtual coffee time with Tammi when she can fit us in now that she is working for the Teddy Bear as he will keep her busy.

Thank you and I most certainly do try my very best, I am the same as yourself though, I find it easier to follow something if it shows you what to do rather than telling you as it can get so technical and if you are not that way inclined then you have no chance of making sense of it all. xxx

Hi Cheryl

Thanks for the follow - much appreciated.

I have some Scottish ancestry from both parents - originally from Thurso and Glascow. Didn't have time to cross the border when I was in The Lake District about 30 years ago, but hopefully will have the opportunity to visit at some point.

One of my Great Grandfathers was first mate on a sailing ship that brought immigrants out from Scotland to New Zealand - then eventually settled here.
.
All the best.

You're welcome Rod, I have never been to Thurso but have been to Glasgow loads of times. That's a shame that you didn't come over the border and visit Scotland when you were at the Lake District. Gives you the opportunity to make sure you come back and visit.

That was a long time ago then Rod, I take it you either now stay in either New Zealand or Australia or round these areas.

All the best to you as well Rod. xxxxx

Were you to check out the history of Israel the 29th is a most holy day concerning the end of the harvest. Maybe I shall be able to attend it in Jerusalem one day. Yes, I am a Christian too.
My, my, my, you have presented to me another place I have always desired to go in the Spring when everything grows new like the heather and the love in the heart of a woman. I have prayed about this matter every since 1 December 1974 to present as it is a heart issue.
I'm a military man focused upon the objective of this training instead of a lovely woman as priority arranges my objectives.
Reply
Chezbrown Premium
Thank you Walter and that explains to me now why when I was at school we used to have a Harvest Festival and we used to go to church on a Friday, it must have been the Friday nearest to the 29th if it was not actually on that date.

Thanks for this and now I understand it all a lot more. I take it you are talking about visiting Scotland then. That has been a very long dream then Walter lol.

You are quite right, better to focus on the training rather than the women as they just get you into trouble lol. xxx

Yes, I have had a life long desire to go to Scotland every since seeing the movie Brigadoon and have had a long time God Given Scottish Friend on the west coast in the State of Oregon. Almighty God will answer prayer one of these days providing the woman I have prayed about every since Christ Jesus Saved me.
I have always been drawn to Scotland from my youth as the heather must be beautiful when in bloom and a lovely woman just adds a greater emphasis upon everything.
Thus my perseverance in learning all these lessons might help obtaining objectives since I'm on Affiliate Boot-Camp Phase 3, Lesson 1 being new to this electronic world of computers. WOW! Thank You Christ Jesus for the discipline placed in my life from years of military service in keeping people safe.

Good morning, Cheryl--

Thanks so much for networking with me. It is very much appreciated!

I see you have been here for over a year. I hope things have been wonderful for you. I am thinking so because you are Rank 27 and you don't get there by not loving what you are doing. :)

You live in the one part of the world that I would actually get on a plane to fly to. Scotland, Ireland, Wales. There is no other place that would make me do that. Perhaps one day I will actually be able to afford a long vacation across the pond. That would be awesome.

I wish you much success in your future endeavors!

That would be nice Linda for you to be able to get to places you would love to visit. I would love to be able to go back to New York and I would also love to be able to go back to Australia as I was just 13 when I went before and I now have family in Brisbane and Sydney and a friend from Adelaide.

Good luck and best wishes in your journey here at WA. xx

Hi Taetske, good afternoon to you too. Both Tootsie and Jake are doing well and love running about together. When I take Jake out for a walk, Tootsie loves to come with us and follows us at the back. At the back of our house there is a big patch of grass and they play chase there, it's funny to watch but all the neighbours think that Jake is chasing some random cat, they don't realise that she is our cat and they are best friends. Sounds like your hands are full as well. Cats are so independent so we are honoured if Tootsie decides to come and sit on our laps. She really took a shine to one of my boys and will sit in his arms and give him cuddles.

Jake on the other hand loves to cuddle into you when you are sat on the couch and he follows everywhere when ever you move but he is so cute. There is a really good image of them both in my google+ plus account.

Hope you are having fun in your journey here at WA and everything is working out ok for you. xx

I really enjoyed Scotland when I visited way back in the dim, dark past. Went all the way up and on to the Orkneys.

Tootsie is a great name for a cat if she is a floozy like our Katie. She always flaunts her stuff. No dog as no fences.

I neep help. So I'm trying to find keywords using Jaaxy and it's quite difficult. I've been researching quite extensively. My niche is 'Print Dresses' (so dresses with prints on them) and the difficulty is that everything I search relates back to general dresses (cocktail, midi, long, with sleeves etc) if I even put the word 'print' or 'printed' in it, the search results become pretty dismal and I can't refine my searches but it's supposed to relate back to my 'print dresses' niche. The whole aspect of my website is that the dresses are specifically meant to be 'printed'. Any help?

Always too excited and bumping into things while running around. Mimi is more of the sassy and quiet type. She likes her sleep and gives you attitude when you accidentally bump into her. Each has their own personalities and it's amazing how as a pet-parent, you will learn to tell them apart, lol.

Wishing you much success!

Thanks Reyhana, it is so funny to have both the dog and cat playing together and yes they definitely do give you attitude. Enjoy your time with them and great to hear you love Danielle Steel too. She is such a good author, love the style of her books but just wish she didn't have as many out at the one time lol, can't keep up.

I also have a hard time keeping up! I don't know how she does it. I have started writing a book of my own and have been at it for almost a year and still not completed it! LOL... But I guess practice makes perfect. She's been writing for years and years.

I don't know either, how does she keep coming up with different stories at the same time, I'd be totally confused. Good luck with your book though.
