About Chezbrown

Hi, I'm Cheryl Brown and now in my 4th year as a member of Wealthy Affiliate. As well as creating my two websites, in the 4 years I have been a member, I have learnt a lot. The training and support from the Community here are second to none. I am proud to say I was an Ambassador for over 300 days even though I had never even thought about becoming one.

I am still in Scotland and have been married to David for 31 years in June, we have a daughter who is now 26 and twin boys who are 22. There is also our wee dog Jake and cat Tootsie who are both now 4 years old.

I have lived in Scotland all my life and have no intentions of leaving such a beautiful country. The only let down here is the weather as it is so unpredictable.

Hey Cheryl,

You can definitely achieve these goals and I know that you will make it happen. The key is to dedicate yourself to your training here at WA. Follow the training, take action on what you learn, and ask questions when you have them.

It all starts with a goal - you can now start working toward it!

Talk to you soon,

Carson

Thank you Robert and I certainly have realized that. I am enjoying doing the bootcamp training although I am a bit stuck at the moment but will overcome it and move on as always. Do you still live in Scotland? xx

I have lived in Scotland all my life and never moved out off it although in my younger days I did work all over the place.
Mainly up north on the big Estates for the Aristocracy.
Now I'm in Auld Reekie and intend to stay here.
Enjoy your evening.

That's good to know. I have been the same Robert and never will leave. I stay in Penicuik now but I originally come from a small mining village about 10 miles from Edinburgh which is called Rosewell. I really don't expect you to have heard of it though lol. xx

I know Rosewell very well Cheryl and in fact my grandparents and parents and an uncle and cousins have all lived there.
As far as I know there is still one cousin living there today.

OMG, I never for a minute thought you would know where it was never mind having family from the village. What are their names as my dad was born and brought up in Rosewell and he still lives there now? He will probably know them. xx

My grandparents are dead now as is my father.
They all worked on the farms
One of them was Goorlaw and the other Gortonlee (think I've spelled them right lol)
My mother worked in Rosslynlee. That was when there was still a train station over the back of Rosewell.
My Grandparents were Cockburns and my uncle was their son.
My parents were called Aitchison and one of my uncles lived down the road in Bonnyrigg.
My cousin is a Cockburn

I do know of the Cockburns, what is your cousins first name? Not sure about your parents but my dad would maybe have known them though. What were their first names so I can ask him and I will let you know. My dad's name is Peter McGauley. xx

Hi Cheryl,

I loved reading your profile. My grandmother grew up in the UK,
and I love the language. I, of course, speak the American English language....being from the State of New York. I live in an area about 65 miles north of NYC, and we have many farms in the area.

Anyway, It looks like you are doing well. Good rank, and writing plenty of Posts.

I wish you every success.

Thank you Mike, there are a few others here too that have Scottish connections. I love New York, we were there in 2012 for Thanksgiving as I wanted to see the Macy's thanksgiving day parade. We also went to the Metlife twice to see the Jets first and then the Giants. I did a blog at Thanksgiving on our trip to New York.

Thanks for the follow and same to yourself. Xx

Good afternoon, (your time.....I think), Cheryl and thanks for adding me to your network. I have added you to mine as well.

I have a little Scottish blood in me as well and some from England and Europe as well. My mother's father was Scottish and her mom was English.

I hope it's going well and you're reaching some of your goals and dreams. I look forward to connecting from time to time and wish you the best as you continue in your online adventure.

To The Future.....Wayne

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for the follow ,I`m following back.
Are you Scottish? I`m half and the half is `Menzies ` clan Menzies. As a child was, every summer, taken to the Highlands
I do love Scotland but not the weather and midges ! lol
Good luck to you earning soon..

Hi and yes I am Scottish through and through.I stay 10 miles outside Edinburgh. The Highlands are lovely, especially the scenery but agree the only downside is the weather as we are never guaranteed to get what they forecast and can have the four seasons in one day. The Highlands would be a nightmare for the midges lol. Where do you stay now? xx
