Yes, and so am I having the same problem. Just now I went into one of my websites where I use Yoast only to find that the Yoast SEO has changed. It seems as though we no longer have the option of entering a meta description and that the plugin's version of meta description is the only option. But you said Joseph that you get a red light. It seems as though you have highlighted a problem which is not helpful for you at the present time, but very worthwhile being aware of.
Maybe changing to All In One SEO is going to be necessary for us now, but this is something that Jay does not recommend in his training.
I hope you can find an answer :)

Just to add: CLICK the box. You can actually edit the meta description by clicking it.I also confused at first. Honestly, I like more the previous version :)
Cheers, Ferdinand
The previous version of Yoast have a clear space to insert the meta description. Since the update, it's a bit unclear where do you need to put the meta description.
Well, we will be used to it eventually :)

Hello Gang,
Can somebody explain the difference between url and permalink? If I want to copy the url of an article I have posted in my site, is that the permalink or wher
Make sure that if you chance the title then to edit the permalink other wise you elk get the 404 message because the page cannot be found ok
A permalink is also a url, but it is a specific url leading to a specific page or post. Your website has a home url, that is just http://www.yoursitename.com (as an example). But a post on your home page would have a "permalink" that would look like: http://www.yoursitename/widgetpost.com.
One thing is if you change your tiltle in draft mode, be sure to change the permalink to match.
Perhaps this link would help.

when I try to pin a post from my website, I get the message "invalid url" why is this? What am I doi v wrong?
The problem is to pin a blog url attached to the site url. For example, http://topbabysafety.com//baby-carrier-safety
Have you verified your site with Pinterest? Exactly what steps are you following? You pin images not URLs and the URL is attached to an image. Your URL is http://topbabysafety.com not http:topbabysafety.com. Are you omitting the "//"?
Thanks for asking the question and seeking the experienced Gurus will assist you and I will learn.

Just wondering if google images are royalty free.
Hi Kyle, no. But you can, in Google, select the free ones. Do you want to know how to do this?
OK, when you are in Google, before you enter anything, go to the top r.h.s and you will see a tiny word there "Images".
Click on that
Then a new Google window (same as present one) opens
Type in the image you want to search for - say, Dogs
Then a whole lot of images of dogs come up
ABOVE the images, in a small menu bar you will see:
All, Images, Videos, News, etc
Click on "Search Tools"
Then another menu bar pops up under this one
Click on "Usage Rights"
Then Click on "Labeled for Reuse"
and then, all the images that come up are the free ones, not needing payment.
Hope this helps.

Why Do I Need to Use Free Images Nope, not all of them. It's very important that we give proper attribution as well : )
Here is a great start ...Boomer (Robert) does a great job.
There are tons of free image sites available to us and we always have members posting resources for us.
If you type "free images" in the WA search bar directly above you will find plenty of options.
Have fun!
No they are not, there may be some royalty free ones in there but there is no way to really know as it is pulling images from billions of pages online.
There are many ways in which you can find and add images to your website. I have outlined this within a video walk-through that I created on images. How to Find & Add Images to Your Website This is very thorough and will give you a lot of great ideas as to how you can find and incorporate images on your website. Also, do know that if you are an affiliate of Amazon you can use any of the images (product) from their website on your website, which opens you up to an image bank of MILLIONS of images.
some of those free images sites also have non-royalty images mixed in. You can easily get mixed up and be in the wrong category. Dave.

I have a site that was developed for me before I got into WA. It is set in html. Is there a way to switch it to wordpress?
If I am hearing you correctly, I have first to change the hosting to WA and then try to change from html to Wordpress. Is that correct?
If you change the hosting to WA it is Word press. That is what WA uses. There are 2 hosting nos. that have to be used. http://ns1mywahosting.com. http://ns2mywahosting.com.
I would PM Kyle and ask him specifically about your website and then ask about his WA hosting tutorial.
It may take a day or 2 to hear back. If you can look for it in the starter training courses.Pisqualy may have a good point about themes.
Checking with Kyle may be the best.
Marty
Chances are you may need to change the look and feel of your site to fit it into one of the themes here in WP. I ended up copying my text and then inserting the pictures in using the WP editor. To be able to edit it in the future this seemed to be the only option.
HTML is far more difficult than WordPress. 1% of people could do it successfully. I just picked up a contract changing 5 sites out of WordPress.
Start by picking.a serious theme like Toothpaste. It comes with so much stuff built in and it's free. Then you must manually recreate it. If you did a HTML site then I am gessing it will take 12 hours for a medium level site and 24 hours for a big site.
Hi Joseph, that is a good question. Normally you just change the hosting to WA hosting which will bring your site into word Press. Kyle does a tutorial on the process. Since your site was all set up with html code I am not sure and would take some one more Knowledgable in that area. PJ Germain would be a good one to PM if you don't get a good answer
Marty.

When writing a post or page scroll down to where you enter your keyword. Just above that.
