Some people are prone to rant on and on about the Wealthy Affiliate complaints they have. So, let's get to the bottom of it, shall we? Let's end this moaning and whining once and for all!
The Wealthy Affiliate Complaints I've Heard! And Some Really Cheeky Questions, Too!
Here's a list of the most common complaints (and rude questions) I hear of with Wealthy Affiliate Members.
1. I made a website last week and I haven't been paid yet! Why?
2. My blog posts aren't ranked well in Google! Why?
3. It's nearly $50 a month for premium membership! Are you kidding me?
4. So and So makes X amount of dollars a month, Why am I not making that?
5. How much money are you making?
6. What? I have to PAY for my own dot com domain?
Just Hold Your Horses, Darn it! Get off and drink your milk, will ya!
My responses are as follows...
1. It takes time to build a profitable online business. Do you really think it takes only a week to start making big money online like a super affiliate does? Get real, mister! You do not go into a new job in the "real world" and work a week and demand to know why you haven't made much money yet.
2. It takes time for your website to be trusted by the Big G (google) and we all have to endure that no matter where we learn to build a website and monetize it. Get with the plan and stop expecting instant page one results. Show google that your site is worthy of page one rankings by being a provider of fresh, unique, useful, and interesting, entertaining content for your human visitors. Google knows when people like your site by the amount of time they spend on it and by the comments they leave for your blog posts. As your visitors stay on site longer google will say to itself "hey, this site must be good, let's bump it up in the rankings a little!
3. Are you kidding me? You get to have 25 FREE websites and you can buy 25 dot com websites to host for free at Wealthy Affiliate and that is simply a bargain you are never going to find anywhere in this solar system, never mind just here on earth. There is a free keyword tool, there is a business community of like-minded entrepreneurs to help you out. There are super affiliates and complete beginners mingling here. Rub shoulders a bit. Ask questions and do the training. YOU will become successful when you learn the ropes. By the way, 1 website is enough for most people, let alone 25. Of course, it is worth almost 50 dollars a month for a potential 50 separate businesses. Show me something superior, please do! I'll see you next century, when you find it!
4. So and so has been building websites a lot longer than you and has maybe been a member here a lot longer than you. Get real, if it were so fast and easy, then everyone on the planet would be loaded, wouldn't they? Think about it!
5. It's none of your business and is an extremely rude question to ask someone you've just met. Don't ask anyone, it's their business and they don't want to spill the beans to the whole of the world about private matters. If making money is the only aim you have with Wealthy Affiliate, then clearly, you're not going to make much at all. Paradoxically, those people who forget about money and build a real online business based on "helping people" are the ones who find success comes to them far quicker than the ones who just want to help themselves...get with the program!
6. Yes, you have to pay for a dot com domain. Everyone on the planet Earth has to do this. Facebook has to pay for a domain every year so what makes you so special that you should get yours free. Besides, at Wealthy Affiliate you can buy your domain in house with no up sells and there is free "whois privacy" included. It's $14 a year.
Seriously, are you kidding me? It's 3.85 cents a day. Can't afford 3.85 cents? You can't make a $1000 a day then, can you. Don't be so small minded, think about ROI (return on investment) not about the 3.85 cents a day or the $14 a year.
Shucks, some people are so tight with not only investing in themselves but investing in something for their own online business. Shocking when you hear people moaning about that.
Get with the program and the program will get you where you want to be...invest a little in your education, build a real online business (or 50) and stop griping about the small stuff. A little perspective, please! Wealthy Affiliate is not a scam!

Where are all the negative comments Jim-bo?. Is this some kind of scam you got going on. Only having the positive responses shown. Haha just kidding.
There's a reason only a small % of people succeed online for a reason. Some people just don't have the drive, the commitment and the willingness to learn EVERYTHING!. There's multitude of proof that WA is the best thing on this planet, yet people will always call it a scam or what have you because that's how they are. Only the soon to be successful and currently successful people see WA for what it really is. Like you :)
Hi Jim-Bo, Every cent we invest into WA is worth. Actually it is not just about money. It has to do with our time which is a perishable commodity. Where on earth you find paying a just US$47/mth and getting educated by the training and the supportive community. [Kelsey]
I fully agree! I have paid tons of money to other programs and got out a tiny fraction of what I got here in not even 2 months, means less than 100$!
Good post Jim-Bo. I didn't know about the complaints simply because - well - I just don't care what idiots think and so don't invest a lot of time reading negative crap.. Just add up all the stupid whining, grousing and back biting as a human condition known as idiocy. And remember fools always spew.
I completely agree! People don't want to do the work, that's the problem. And its like honestly, if you wanna go throw hundreds or thousands of dollars at something that promises you'll become rich, by all means go get scammed! I've only been here for 2 months. And I've been working my A$$ off, I took the time, studied, and put the effort and I already have multiple posts on page 1 of google.. But it did NOT come easy. We're talking all nighters and loooong days. Even then I didn't expect to get on page 1 for many more months. So it was cool to see that.. Now, I've only had a couple sales. And it went back into amazon so I haven't made anything yet... But honestly, that's OK.. Just like being ranked, I don't expect to start earning for a while..
But that's what separates the truly successful from the nay-sayers. Or the ppl I call "it doesn't work" group... Well, nothing works if you don't MAKE it work.. Those that are making $x,xxx amount money a month worked very very hard for "years" to get that! And honestly, WA is one of the only places that gives you the tools but doesn't give you unreal expectations... Your success is determined by ONE thing... YOU!
Anyway, just my 2 cents... I hear ya Jim-Bo... They'll either learn or fail... And if they fail, they want to blame something besides themselves..

i like it its a great opportunity i have never had any one to help me at other sites i had they wanted several thousand dollars for that kind of help, everything that worth anything takes time i am just blown away with the members here and wealthy affiliate i am so glad i found this website and thank the members like you Jim that help me.
I fully agree with you. The amount of help of the members is incredible. And I think, as soon as I have learnt enough, I will give it back to the newbies too.
Well said Jimbo. I really appreciate hearing from someone who says it as it is. I have had a hiccup in my membership and I had the owner of the company and a top affiliate support me. Glad you aired the above complaints. We are developing a business and it takes an investment of time and money. BUT! Where else would we receive such great support?
Well written Jimbo...I invested nearly 400K into my first medical practice when you consider the cost of my 3 degrees, living expenses, and start-up costs for my first practice. I also did not have anyone to really guide me (Doctors are notorious for not helping each other in business) and it took over 17 years to open my first practice. So starting an online business via Wealthy Affiliate is almost a gift. Nice post...

I like what you wrote and there are always some people who don't know how good they have it. Like Wryan said I haven't heard that many complaints, actually none in fact. but I guess they are out there. Thanks for taking the time to write this, it makes you appreciate all that we have here and success doesn't happen overnight. Dave

You don't hear many complaints at all, apart from the new members who are blind to what this place is.
Yes, and there are people who create their importance by complaining and running against. It is THEIR great problem, not Jim's or ours
Good point - I guess though that many of the people who come in with this attitude might have been "Sold" the idea that this was a get rich quick programme - I nearly fell for one myself.
So maybe some of the responsibility lies with those who introduced them to WA with pie in the sky promises.

I have answered a few questions like these, bugged me a bit, now I see it was a bigger problem than I thought.
There is so much help here in the community it continues to surprise me but there is one area I don't really think people even think about.
That is the help we get without asking a question, you know, you read a comment and get the answer to something that has bugged you for a bit.
Now that is why this place is so valuable.
Mainly in live chat that I see this.
