I had this happen to me as well. I have lost a lot of content, and I find my self rewriting all over again. Actually it is tome consu. I also lost a complete site that consist of 10 pages and 3 post. I can't locate it have no clue how to retrieve it. Some of it maybe technical and Google chrome will interfere if the contents are not in their standings.
To change the color of your theme. Go to customize or appearance.

The other thing to be aware of is sometimes your browser can interfere with themes...so try another browser to see if it's the same there and clear your caches. Chrome tends to mess things up every now and again.....this is before you mess with your theme.
Mind you if you just updated your. WP theme, that could obviously be the reason.

Hi, they didn't say what had gone wrong but did send me what they did to fix it. --- so I might be able to fix it myself if it happens again.

We have corrected the issue by going to Appearance>>Customise>>Widgets>>Content Sidebar, adding a widget of custom menu and the side menu as well as widgets are shown properly on your site now.
I have some tweaking to do to put my banners back though. :-)

I know, i used it loads for uni 17 years ago, and a few times for work but didn't really work in industry that required me to do presentations. So discovering some new stuff.

I think if your training is primarily computer based it looks as though screencast would be your best bet, for everything else PowerPoint if perfect.
I have seen powerpoint used in lieu of video on a number of sites. But I don't personally use powerpoint.
It seems very straight forward to do a regular presentation and load it to website. Not so straight forward to do the screen recording part but probably operator error.

I know from prior experience with PowerPoint that you do not record video within it. You record it in another manner and insert that video into the PowerPoint presentation. PowerPoint is designed for this integration. How to add that to our websites without slowing them down is the critical question.
It does have its own media video recorder, but yes essentially what you appear to need to do is record what you want, then load it into a presentation and edit it there before you're able to do anything else with.
I have not used PowerPoint in this, I have never heard of PowerPoint being able to record your screen... is that possible now?

I managed to record me typing but haven't worked out how to upload it. Its not in a format that WA comments supports as its .ppt rather than jpeg etc...

I think that's something that depends on the theme. Maybe you should look at a different theme that allows you to do it ;)

Themes like Virtue and Heiro have a setting for "excerpts" in the posts. You can choose excerpts or full post. twenty fourteen, I believe, doesn't have this option.

Since then I know a few of you have struggled to leave comments directly
if the plugin in is causing problems why not try anti spam bee see if it works better for you
