About GlenPalo
Joined May 2016
I have a great wife, 5 kids and 9 grandkids. I am a brother, uncle, father, grandfather, husband, internet marketer, golfer, and work-at-home entrepreneur among other things. I am a Christian, world traveler, U.S. Navy veteran, mentor and friend to mention a few other things.

I started my small business in 1996 providing tax preparation services to individuals and small companies. A number of my tax clients were small business owners operating out of their homes. Due to the seasonal nature of tax preparation, I researched creating other sources of income, particularly on the internet since these businesses could be operated from home.

Along the way, I built a number of websites related to small/home business tax issues. I gradually moved into the internet marketing niche and built other websites including AchieveUSA, which was my most successful website. I also published ezines including “Today’s Network Marketer,” published articles including “How to Market on the Internet for Free” and “Tax Saving Tips for the Self-Employed.”

Major surgery put me out of business in 2006. It took quite awhile regain my full strength and stamina. Starting over was not so bad. I love the fun and challenge. But here is the best part, it is not hard. It’s simple when you have a plan!

My objective is to create wealth to enjoy a comfortable retirement with good health to enjoy time with my wife and family. To that end, I desire to help as many people as I can to achieve their goals. As I had help in the beginning, I wish to help other people starting out.

Hi Glen,
Thanks for the follow.
I am into my second month now and building the foundation and I take encouragement from your words: "But here is the best part, it is not hard. It’s simple when you have a plan!"
Sounds like you're doing well after surgery 11 years ago so you can endure more punishment in the game of chasing the little white ball.
Both physically and mentally the hardest game I have played. The best way I can describe physical to people who do not play golf is in the golf saying: a shank is the closest thing to a perfect shot. Don't know who came up with that but in reality, there is no room for error, unless you get a lucky bounce.

All the best Glen in health and wealth.

Cheers
Brad

lol. I agree the shank is the perfect shot. In baseball or cricket the players try to make contact with the ball. But in golf, the golf shot is about 2 inches off center on the club face.

Best of success to you too, Brad.

Then you have the mental side as well.
My best round in a course where I was a member was 6 over.
I got cocky and had a lesson to improve my game and the following week in a medal round was 1 under after 11 holes.
I started thinking about the 6 over and how I was going to smash it. I started to play safe and bludge the ball to the hole, without thinking of how I got to 1 under in the first place by hitting it.
Then it all fell apart and I dropped 9 shots in the last 7 holes to come in 8 over. CHOKED!

It is an amazing game. Not only does it require power and accuracy, it takes a lot of finesse.

And it is you against you.
If you don't win the day's event you can still win within yourself.
You challenge yourself.

Hello Glen ... thank you for the follow. As I read your profile the thought that entered my mind was why did you become a member? Then it occurred to me that the WA platform value for a person with your internet business experience must lie in our SiteRubix portal which provides internet business services that would cost you hundreds of dollars a month.

The cost to you could be as low as $25 a month if you take advantage of the Black Friday promo towards the end of November.

I wish you the best as you continue to rebuild your internet business set back in 2006.

My desire is to help folks realize that through a 'Functional Wellness' model we can be our very own best Doctor.
My youngest lad has too few years left under my roof and I've too many dreams with both boys to not want this opportunity wholeheartedly.
I Love and accept the challenge.

Napolean Hill wrote in his book, "Think and Grow Rich", that every adversity carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit and you will find it with a Positive Mental Attitude.

You are living proof of that statement.

Well done.

I wish you many Blessings on your journey!

Hi Glen, first, I really feel privileged that you chose me to follow. After reading all your accomplishments, I feel very humble indeed. With that in mind, I will definitely be following you along our chosen path to success. It will be interesting to see how you enrich the WA community with your extensive knowledge. For me, the internet used to be just a place to play games-not any more! I have found purpose at long last, and having read your short Bio, I have finally put that pastime aside and am going for the gold. Thank you for being here. I look forward to watching you grow and learning all I can from what you share with the WA community.

Thank you for your kind words, Alice. :)

I can only imagine how much further along I would be if I had not spent so many hours playing games. Well, just one game, Evony. It is a multi-player ware game set in midieval Europe.

Hi Glen, thanks also for the follow, being new to WA I have been taking the opportunity to have a look around and in particular at the many blogs and websites that the longer members have written and built.
If these are the result of the training here at WA, there is no way you can fail if you stick to it and put in the hard yards.
I was very impressed with homebusinessforveterans.com, a very professional and well presented website, if I can build something half as good I will be very happy, wishing all the best Glen, cheers Max.

Thank you so much for the follow back Glen. Wow, dude, you have only been on here a couple of months and have a ranking of 151, and the experience you cite rivals the very best!

I tell you what, I'm going to just duck over here in a corner, be very quiet, and watch you work. Should you need me to hold your coat or something let me know, otherwise I am going to learn all I can by watching the ones who eat and breath this stuff.

Very happy you let me be part of your team, Glen.

Thank you for your kind words! WA is a great place to learn about our business. I made it a point to follow every Ambassador and top 100 members. All are great examples to follow. But everyone is worth following. All have experiences worth sharing.

Thank you for your service to our country. I came up through the ranks after enlisting. My career trajectory derailed from working in a acquisition program where the Program Manager and deputy were fired by SecNav. Program was grossly over budget and schedule and constantly on the front page of the Washington Post. My career was part of the collateral damage. It just opened the door to bigger and better things, just not in the military.

Best of success to you.
Glen

Hi, Glen!
I've been to Woodbridge. Such a great place for families, yet close to Mount Vernon :) and not too far from DC.

Were you a fighter pilot by chance? (I'm looking at your neck in your main profile picture and thinking G-force—or maybe lifting a lot of iron. :)

Oh gosh, your mention of AchieveUSA (yes, a great name!) reminds me of some domains that I have had and dropped, only to see them being resold for something ridiculous. Ugh. lol.

It sounds like we have followed at least some similar tracts at one point or another. You obviously have a lot of life experiences to share. And I have no doubt that you will be successful, again, doing exactly that.

Happy to be "following" you now.

peace,
--Fran

Nope, wasn't a pilot. Big neck is from old football days and working in sawmills while in college. But I still do weight training focused on my golf game.

What would bring you to Woodbridge?! Can't say it is a tourist site for visitors.

Ah, there you go.
I have visited family and friends who lived in Woodbridge at the time. Of course it's well known in Northern Virginia. Very nice area.
