I have been in WA for a year and a month. First website up in Oct./14 on golf using Amazon as Affiliate.
Have not made a dime selling golf clubs or golf swing tips, nothing.
Move on or improve on what you have already.

happened. Do not let this be you.
It can be and is difficult, i have made a little, but it is only a little, but it drives me on to make more and more, often getting that 1st one can be the hardest, you should not give up, do other things to earn the day job, but keep this as a side line.
How much traffic are you getting to your sites? A lack of traffic is one problem while a lack of conversions is a separate one.
2 websites and not a single sale in a year? You are clearly doing something wrong. Don't get angry, but it's a fact. The only reason this caught my eye, and made me comment was you said you had a site on golf clubs etc. I have a site in that niche and I sell at least 1 set of clubs a day. If not more on good days.. It's not your niche.. trust me.
So what are you doing incorrectly? Share your websites? or PM them to me.. I'll look over them and see what's up. There are countless things you could be doing wrong, but to not get one single sale in a year? Yea, that's harsh.
*Edit* Ok, I found your sites, they were on your profile page. I'm looking at them briefly. Feel free to PM me if you want help.
I looked over it. Your keywords are pretty bad.. which I'm assuming why you are probably getting like little to no traffic.. which is why you haven't made a single sale in over a year.
With me, I liken WA to a person who built a nice house out in the woods where you will find a tranquil place, rivers, streams, birds and butterflys... nice place,
However I, that man must go out to the byways and invite people to come see what i have built. See , I know who I invited, and i know that they know other people, who also know other people.
Now, I better have some awesome refreshments to offer them when they do come by.
They will bring along like minded friends.
I see it safer this way.
Very discouraging, You said yourself maybe another niche besides golf. Per haps look for a different niche. Good luck to you either way.
Hi islandcat7. Sorry to see you go. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Nothing in a year on 2 websites, unreal?
I have been in WA for a year and a month. First website up in Oct./14 on golf using Amazon as Affiliate.

I have done a crawl of your website and if I have seen everything correctly, you seem to have very little content on your site.
I came across something like 40 posts and pages, in an entire years time, that is averaging well under one post a week for the entire year.
That is just not going to get the job done, now over the course of a couple years at that rate yeah you could probably expect some results.
But under 40 posts in an entire year is not going to cut.
Here is the deal, at the one year mark yes you absolutely should be making at least a little bit of money.
But the fact that you have under 40 pieces of content is not going to cut it, and it is very likely that you were sporadically creating content because I noticed under your monthly archives that on quite a few months there was only one article to read.
When you sporadically post like that with no sense of consistency it tells Google that your website is for the most part inactive.
I am not saying that you have to constantly dish out content every single day to see results, but you have to do better than what you have been.
You have a great start on both websites, it seems that around the 50-60 article mark is when you really start earning that search engine trust.
I am willing to bet that if you pick one and create some consistent content, 1-2 new posts a week, you would likely start to see things take off within a couple short months.
It's simple really, the fact that you have only produced about 40 pages of content in an entire year for your golf website is basically telling the search-engines that your site is extremely inactive or at the very best, you just post whenever you feel like it.
Google awards it's trust to the websites that post new content consistently, not just at random intervals.
You need to come up with some sort of schedule, it is not enough to just post whenever you have the urge.
You have created 40 pieces of content in an entire year, conversely, I have dished out a similar number in the past month and a half.
Because of my consistency, I am seeing tremendous results, higher rankings, and higher traffic.
As an affiliate marketer your lifestyle and financial success DEPENDS on your ability to update your website, how can you expect to see any level of success when your golf website has an average of only 1 post for every 3 weeks.
You can't post a bunch of times in one month and than not post anything new the next month, you have to be consistent.
Move on or improve on what you have already.

What happens if you do not re-new your website?
I still get hosting from WA, will it still show and will I still be able to update it.
Will it still be on the WWW or be t
If you don't renew your domain name registration you'll lose everything on your website because the DNS will no longer be pointed anywhere. The cost of annual renewal is negligible. Once your domain name expires (after a grace period) it will be open for anyone else in the world to buy and use it. ~Marion
From my understanding if you do not renew your Premium membership you can still be a free member with regular free member benefits. Two free websites (site-rubix not your own domain).
This thread may provide more info - What happens if i go premium and then i quit? Sorry to hear you are thinking of leaving Premium, anything I can do?
ROCK ON!

If you don't renew your domain registration, the name will become available for someone else to register. When the registration expires, it will no longer connect to your site regardless of who your hosting provider is.
[added]
There is a grace period provided by some registrars and an ICANN-mandated redemption period which will cost you an additional fee to redeem your expired domain name. (Things can get a bit complicated if you allow a domain registration to expire.)
I'm not 100% sure that I'm right either. :=) Since he mentioned continued hosting at WA, my thought was that he was referring to domain registration.

Have you asked for comments?
For some reason I'm seeing a lack of comments.
You may need more social engagement.
I'm talking about here. Do you request comments here? I know organic is good but comments from your peers are a good boost too.
I was sucçessful in bringing it up. I was using a tablet but that shouldn't make a difference.
