Hello,
I've got an affiliate partnership for a high ticket product in my local market. I genuinely think it's the best one available, and my readers trust me so they buy it

This isn’t something I have done, but what have you got to lose. They can only say yes or no at the end of the day.

you say it is high ticket - so how many sales does that equate to
what is your conversion rate and can you use that to leverage the extra percentage.
it maybe that you will need consistant sales over several months - rather than being a flash in the pan and a special promotion by you.....
if it is a digital product he higher percentage should be possible - if it is a physical prodoct then it may be more difficult to increase the percentage as margings are normally tighter....
but gather the data and present it as you appear to be sending them a number of leads to improve their business - can we negotiate a new affiliate percentage....
don't forget ot go above what you want as this is a negotiation....
good luck when you go for it
phil

Great questiobs and thoughts, thank you. its my highest selling item, converts at 10-20% depending on the week. Its a physical product, i think 5% is reasonable as its pretty much the baseline for my niche and i know I'm driving multiple sales to them that would have otherwise gone to competitors. I'll definitely gather all my numbers if i decide to ask, thank you so much for your input

I have not personally tried but since you truly like the product, it doesn't seem like it would hurt to write a very cordial letter to ask.

thank you

I have not personally tried, but it would seem like a very cordial letter, explaining how much you truly like the product, might be worth a try.

Hello,

Yesterday I applied to AdSense, as I have a couple of posts I want to experiment running ads on.I got rejected yesterday, with the reason being: "valuable invento

You have 2 websites listed on your profile page, both are not secure (no SSL certificate) and no content since 2015. Did you apply to Adsense with a different website?

Hi Marion,
thank you for taking a look.
Yes I did apply with a new website, one I started in 2019.

If you would like me to look at it then I'll need the domain name.

Thank you, I just meant thanks for taking the time to look at my profile. I know the problem is definitely not with my site, I'll try again with adsense.

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone had heard when the next hot seat webinar will be?

They are usually seasonal, but the last one was summer and it's now almos

Emily I just caught up with Jay in Live Chat and remembered your question he stated he doesn't have a date planned but it will be soon.

Just wanted you let you know. I couldn't remember who ask so I had to search for your question here again.
Glad I found you.

Andre

Thank you so much Andre, that's great to know.
It's so nice of you to remember my question and ask on my behalf, thank you again!

Most welcome Emily it was just timing as I was about to leave and saw Jay in chat

Glad to help out

Andre 😎

SO there you go, there's the answer from Jeffrey. Cheers!

Hey Emily--he's having a webinar tomorrow night--you could pose a question to him then!

Jeff

Thank you for replying :) I can never catch the lives and didn't want to bug him via pm. Guess I will wait and enjoy the other webinars in the meantime!

Awesome, but I don't think Jay gets bothered when it's a serious question!

You would have to ask Jay only he would know when

Thank you, I figured as much but it never hurts to ask :) I didn't want to bug him with such a basic question and can't attend the lives to ask during them. Will enjoy the other webinars and wait for it to roll around again.

Jay loves the attention, Emily, especially when you ask questions also there are no basic questions here all are vital to each other and others also learn from them too.
As for the webinars, there is always a reply normally within 24 hrs at most so you can always catch it there and still ask questions at the bottom of the webinars.

Wishing you well and just ask here in the community remember there are others thinking the same thing but may feel it silly to ask which it is not.
You did well to ask

Enjoy the weekend and keep moving forward and enjoy all before you

Andre

Hi there,

In many cases, when it returns your page Google attempts to insert a snippet of text from your post that most closely matches the search query that was typed in. If it doesn't find any suitable text then it will use your META description.

It is always worth writing a good META description because, if Google doesn't find a snippet of closely related text, then it will turn to the META description.

Cheers,

Martin.

Yeah that's what I read too. But for a while I had my affiliate disclosure statement as a quote at the top of my money posts, so totally unrelated to my keyword, and it pulled it through regardless.

I have seen the same thing happen to me so many times!

Now I create a good opening sentence that has less than 160 characters and I don't bother creating a meta description since Google ignores it most of the time and uses my first sentence anyway!

Yes I've started to do that too! Its the only way around it that I can see at the moment.
I used to have my affiliate disclosure at the top of my money making posts, and it was pulling the wording from that through as my meta description which was a painful fix!

Just out of curiosity did you check in Google. you could be ranked twice for your first sentence and your meta title. You may find you come up for both. Worth a check just in case you are.
Just scroll down on google you may find you rank twice. ;) Just a thought:)

hello, no I didn't do that, I didn't realise that could happen! I will go and check now, thank you for the tip :)

I've been excited to get a few sales on ShareASale lately. My site is only 8 months old and I'm happy to have generated 5 sales through ShareASale with my very small traffic vo

That does suck!

"assigned to other partner sale" doesn't even make any sense.
It will be interesting to see if anyone else has had problems with them. I'll keep watching here to see.

Just another bump in the road
Gary

Yeah it's strange isn't it! I hope someone can shed some light for me.

That sounds bad Emily. I've only just joined share a sale do don't have any real experience with it. Jim

It makes me feel like I can't trust the sales I generate. I know each one has a 30 day period before its locked in and I don't have a problem with losing a commission due to a customer returning a product, but I really don't like what's happening here!
I'll feel better if I can understand it.
I hope you go forth and get great sales with them without experiencing this issue.
