How to negotiate a higher commission rate?
I've got an affiliate partnership for a high ticket product in my local market. I genuinely think it's the best one available, and my readers trust me so they buy it over the other options. In fact, I've driven nearly $26, 000 NZD in sales to them just this month so far, so I think my efforts should be pretty valuable to them.
However, this brand pays me the lowest affiliate commissions of all my partnerships with other local brands (4%, the rest are 5-8%). I don't want to be greedy, but I'd like at least 5% from them.
Has anyone successfully negotiated a higher commission with an individual merchant, and what kind of wording did you use?
