What's Your Best Advice for Choosing a Domain Name?
I can't speak for you, but I've made some SERIOUS mistakes in the past when choosing a domain name. Have you?
What I want to know today is "what is your best advice when choosing a domain name?" My answer is this.
Keep it to three or fewer words. Do not use hyphens or dashes. Always use a dot com and always include your keyword in the domain name. Finally, make it memorable, so it's easy to remember.

That is basically the same thing I recommend.
The most important thing is to make it is something easy to understand and memorable. Too often people try to get cute and creative and come up with a big, long, confusing mess that no one else can even understand let alone remember how to spell! If your domain name has acronyms, abbreviations and odd words people just are not going to remember it. It seems so simple yet people continue to pick these confusing domain names!
I like to keep it simple, logical and use a .com.
I would also recommend making sure it is relevant. Davesawsomeideasaregreat is not a good name for a work from home site.
That's a really good point! And I totally agree with your view point of keeping key word in domain name.
However, some people prefer personal brand, like ownname(dot)com, that's also ok, but I personally don't prefer it.
I gave a particular name to my business, 'estep' and added service name along with estep(whatever I provide) dot com. This is my strategy, not sure about it's effectiveness though🙂

Everything you said! I have a 3 word dot com, easy..yet for some reason I sometimes feel like I made a mistake, and it’s now too late to go back! But it kinda works though...
One or two words name will be ideal.
Such domain domain name should also serve as a reminder of your set niche and your dream in your online business.
Cheers.
