In the WA affiliate program stats page, what is the difference between raw, content, and unqiue clicks?

If you are referring to your stats, press the + button to the right of these texts. It explains all stats and you can decide not to show them.

Hi, Ashley. Have a look at this post. You will find your answer there. Hennie

Any advice? I am getting a handful of click throughs on my wealthy affiliate links every day, but never any referrals. What can I do to increase conversions? Is it just a matte

Write more reviews and Call To Actions. Your CTA should be in the first paragraph at the last at least.

Can you show me an example of a call to action in the first paragraph? It seems a bit early to have a call to action then. Just looking for an example. Thanks.

Sometimes i will start an article by giving a brief overview of the topic, and then I will say, "click here if you are interested in learning about [related topic]." And then link to a related article. But i dont know if that counts as a call to action in terms of getting a conversion, since I am only linking them to another one of my articles.

Hi. Here is an example. Its at the bottom of the paragraph. Hope it helps. :)

Okay... I am using a plug in, 'Simple Image Size' and I have to hit 'regenerate image size' and then it fixes the problem.

Well it is only working for some of my images, but not all... i am so confused.

Idk what I did... but I did something that worked.

I usually put my images in as Codes. Works every time.
I use a free online program for this.
If you want to I can send you the URl.
If its not for you that's ok.
There are other programs that will give you any size you want to and I'm sure the membership will tell you about those.
Enjoy your Friday.
Robert

I'd be interested in the URL too Robert. I'm new at this and have been spending some time on this issue myself. I was thinking it depended on the theme.

I actually prefer to have the featured images non-uniform. This is where I'm at so far with my site www.moviegeekstuff.com. This theme is called Parabola and allows for a lot of customisation. A good search tag for this type of theme in Wordpress is 'portfolio' and 'gallery'.

I've been searching for a plug-in that will allow me to customise the featured image defaults.

Don't you have the image optimizer plugin in your wordpress.
It comes pre-loaded.
The reason I use the program I do is that it gives lot of different codes depending on where you want to place the image.
Ashley seems to have cracked her particular problem so maybe it will work for you as well.
Robert

Thanks Robert, I'll look into it.

If you're still stuck then get in touch but I'm busy right now sending thousands of visitors to my new site to improve its ranking.
Maybe catch you later.
Robert

Thanks for your kind help, Robert!

I am building my travel affiliate marketing site. I am trying to understand ways of getting photos of the resorts i am promoting. Right now im relying on stock photos and googl

It is definitely not against any rules!

Contact them; They want to have everyone who promotes for them to present them in a good light! To NOT do so, could cause them to terminate your account with them, especially if you locate an image that is someone else's' and it gets back to your affiliate!

Contact them directly. Many companies have media kits or press photos available for journalists etc. Media kits could include background papers, news, information as well as photos. Contact points could be public relations or media relations departments. Sandals, for example, has points of contact for the press as well as high resolution images via their media team.

I am starting a travel site... I see many travel sites use photos from Flickr and then give author accreditation.

Hi there! My current day job is working in the publishing industry so hopefully I will be helpful in answering your question. Any photos you obtain for your website either have to be 'free from commercial use', 'public domain' or you obtain written permission(email will do with signature so you can print a hardcopy to keep) from the copyright owner of the said photo. You're right though. A lot of stock photos seem a little generic or some of the photos you will find in search engines are taken with poor quality and it's hard to justify placing them on your website especially if your niche is 'visual' in an attempt to track travelers to your website for information as well as a direct way to book reservations. Always remember to legally protect yourself making sure that any photo you use that wasn't taken by you has the appropriate permission provided. I wish you much success with your travel site!

I am creating a travel site. I am just starting to build content so I am not signed up for any travel programs yet. How can I find photos of hotels and other specific destinati

So Your Saying,That If I Download a Picture under "free Blog Pics" under Images I'm Infringing? Wow I heard it was Public Domain. ?????? Now I'm REALLY CONFUSED.....

If they are published as free to use and download, they are most likely so. But you can not always assume so. That's why it's best to download from sites where images are published under a CC0 license.

And where do we go for That, I'm A Newbie, Thanks Haugland

I mostly use Pixabay for that.
But there are others. Just search for free pictures at the top of this page and you will find several posts about this topic

As Long as the Image does not display A Copy Write Symbol. It's Considered Public Property.

That is wrong.
It is the other way around. As long as it is not clearly stated as public domain, it is considered copyrighted intellectual property. Even if there is no copyright mark on the photo or anywhere at the page.
However, copyrighted photos may be used under the 'Fair use' policy.

But one very important thing to remember when you have a website with a worldwide audience is that you must basically comply with every national copyright law there is. If you use a picture owned by a French photographer, it may be OK to use by the fair use paragraph under US copyright law, but it may still violate French copyright law.
So basically you have to comply with both the copyright laws of the country where you publish the site and the country where the photograph is owned.

The ONLY photos that are completely free to use for every purpose are the ones published under the Creative Commons CC0 license

Try this:

https://www.google.com/imghp#spf=1

Select "settings" down at the bottom

Select "Advanced Search"

Enter the name of the hotel you want in the first box, "all these words: "

Scroll down, down, down, to "Usage Rights." Activate the pulldown menu and select "free to use or share, even commercially"

Click the Blue "Advanced Search" button slightly below and to the right.

See what pops up.

Let me know how/if this works for you.

All the Best,

Elizabeth

PS: The second half of your question was, " Once I am signed up for an affiliate program will that program provide me with photos? "

The answer is "usually," although some restrictions may apply. I find it best to take the time to read the affiliate program rules and do things their way. Each one is slightly different. Amazon has one set of rules, because the products they sell aren't entirely theirs. Other companies which completely own the product you market for them will have their own rules, and their own reasons. Regardless of what the law does or does not state, you are in a contractual relationship with the company, and should pay close attention to what they would like to get from you as well as what you are being offered from them. (It's really not all that complicated, you just have to read their rules make a good-faith effort to comply. It is not necessary to be perfect, but only to try to respect well-articulated and reasonable boundaries.)

I hope this is helpful.

All the best,

Elizabeth
