Hi everyone!
It has just happened to me...
After my following one of the WA pieces of training mentioning that our blogs published in WA can be ranked on Google too,
Hi everyone!
Thank you for your beautiful support!:-)
I've tried to contact that person by PM (know his profile), but, he's not a premium WA member, so, couldn't reach him... On the other hand, I'm not happy to warn him publicly.
What would you do if were in my shoes?
Thanks again!
Vesna
I'd contact Kyle and or Carson. If he's not a premium member he could just be here to steal other members text.
If he is not a premium member then he has maybe only joined to steal as much as he can. Send the details to Kyle and then it is all in the right order.
Rob
Thanks a lot!:-) As far I can see, he has stolen other people contents too, and therefore should be reported.
Thanks again,
Vesna
Whatever you do, Vesna, you must not allow it to have any effect on you or your resolve to be successful. I am sure it won't but don't let it make you feel down in any way.
You have been the victim in this situation but this person has lost more because he has behaved in a way which he must know is wrong and been caught out. You can always create more content, he cannot!
Very best wishes, Rob
Hi Vesna, I think you should contact him and ask him if he understands the reasons why he is wrong to do what he has done.
Of course, if he does understand he may not respond but it cannot be left open. You must let him know you are aware of it. There may be other examples of it, too.
Like you, I cannot understand why he did it. I hope you sort it out soon.
Best wishes, Rob
Hi - I managed to find the site you are talking about. It's not just you, he has copied dozens of blog posts from WA members. I am sending you a PM with the URL of the home page, so you can report it to Kyle.
Agree, these blatant infractions need to be reported ... this member should be either restricted or removed from WA ... no excuse for this kind of plagiarism!
It is not allowed at WA. See this post especially no 3. Spam is a NO NO! Ask them politely to remove it and give them the link to the rules. If they do not comply report it.
I would definitely contact him and ask him to remove your text from his site. That's not right and he knows that! Let me know what he says please.
Well it's a copy right violation so I would not ask but demand to take it down. Politely but still demand.

My wa post is copy-pasted to someone's website. any idea?
Hi everyone!
It has just happened to me...
After my following one of the WA pieces of training mentioning that our blogs published in WA can be ranked on Google too,
Hi, Vesna...
This is normally a no-no. Unethical and just not the right thing to do...Unless there is more to the story...
The approach I would take on this is to confront the person who did this and ask them why they used it (purpose?)...
If they are using it as an example of what posts are like here, and it is a piece of a bigger post, and attribution is given, maybe bad rationale used, and maybe not okay, but unintentional (i.e. new)...
Here is how this can happen where it is okay...
There are instances on social platforms where I will take an interesting WA post (not my own) and using my affiliate link for that post, put it on one or more of my social business pages,
The image used from the post comes up and the person wanting to read it is taken to the Wealthy Affiliate platform where they can read the post.
This is not stealing, this is providing an interesting link for my followers...I do the same for other information that the followers will be interested in.
Your case does not sound like this, so approaching the person is the way I would start. Find out details, then take action as you deem fit, i.e. ask them to remove the post, give you attribution and a link to your page and leave it, etc.
People that do this may think they will not get caught, but as big as the internet is, it is still easy to find out when someone does it. We all know about searches, SEO, and etc. here...
Best of luck and please let us know how things go. I suspect that the problem can be solved quickly...
Cheers!

Hi - the person in question is simply copying and pasting member's blog posts and passing them off as his own. He is not premium, and cannot, therefore, be contacted by private message. I have reported the details to Kyle for his consideration.
You're right, Dave. My case does not sound like the one you first mentioned:) I also believe that the problem can be solved quickly.
I reported him to Kyle, not only to solve my problem but, other members, too. As far as I can see, it was not that person's first time to use other people contents as his own.
Thank you for your feedback,
Vesna
Yes, in this case, it appears that contacting support (or Kyle or Carson) will take care of it...
If the person who did it was not a member of the community, you could also contact the hosting company of the website...
That mechanism has been used in the past with success, as well as reporting to Google...
In this case, it is made easier because it is in-house...
Cheers!
