Why Follow WA Members?

When the new system came up, I lost all of my followers. I decided to build it back up to 400 followers, then 500, then 800 and on and on. Now I'm at 1589 and expect to be shooting for maybe 2000.

To get followers, you need to follow others. So I an go to any bio page and find a list to click on. Many of those I follow decide to follow me.

The other day a member asked me why I wanted followers. I was dumbfounded. It took me a minute to answer but the answer was FRIENDS.

Over the years I have gained many friends at WAU. Some are close and dear. And they are worldwide. But there is a difference in these friends and followers from those on the social sites. They are all very interested in marketing on the Internet and many are very successful, far more successful than me.

I've always been amazed how I get more good information back from my followers than I provide. Some are very technical and skilled in this business or some aspect of it.

Friends share and that is what my Wealthy Affiliate friends do for me.

So gaining followers means gaining friends and that is the diadem I'm looking for. Friends!

I may be mostly retired from marketing but I'm still looking for a new friend. Is that you?

John

Hudson

So very true, Hudson. John

Hi John, great to see you active at WA again.
Glad to have you as my friend :)

Veronica

Likewise! How are the bunnies? John

I'm with you, John! I'm so glad we're friends!

And I. John

Hi John, yes you are right. My mom always said that if you can count 5 good friends then, you are truly blessed. Well, then I am blessed because I have made so many friends at WA. If you don't mind though, Hannah & me consider you family. Okay Craig, you too!

Awwwww. Shucks.

Of course I'm your grandfather. But a great friend to have in this cold world.Lucky Craig! John

I agrred with You John. I remember you are the firt pesron to follow me. Thanks friend

I agree with Shawn, well met sir. But I don't agree with you that you provide less value than others. Your value is immeasurable here at WA

you r kind Steve. using new. Using new amazon fire.

This is a great approach. I would even say - the right approach. Apply JFK's famous words "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country", to any situation and you will always come out on the winning side.

Rright.

Very well written John. There is no point of bringing up a question as to "What is the use of following so many people on WA??" One can even have lesser number of friends.
Be it more or less, friends are always there to help you out. The main idea is to help your friends learn new things and likewise, learn new things from their experience. Agreed, one might not be able to communicate with each and every friend on a daily basis but, their mere presence makes you feel confident, there's always a sense of support, that if you are in any sort of problem, the help is just a 'shout' away!! :):)

Great comment. Any of my friends can PM me at any time. John

If I did not follow anyone, I would not have met you, and that would have been unfortunate. :)

It"s a two-way street, isn't it, Shawn.

John, I share the same feelings as you. Although I have been at this for many years, I still have a lot to learn and there are a lot of folks out there with lots to share. You following is no accident. You offer a lot of value here within the community and you are a well respected member.

Yes, following others can lead to new followers but more importantly being an active member within the community will lead to a good following, respect, credibility and trust. All things we work towards as marketers online and marketers within our respective niches.

Yes John, I'm totally agree with you and Kyle. Everyday I meet with amazing people In WA. We talk , we share and I do feel like home here. All the best John... :)

You are so kind, Kyle and so Right On! John

I check peopleʻs profile and I usually follow people in WA with whom I seem to have some common interests. Is there any downside to following everyone? Social media usually puts a limit on how many I can follow based on how many are following me. That makes me be selective. Anything like that in WA?
