One of my recent training tutorials is on finding a niche market so you may want to read it: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/marketing-think-before-you-act/finding-a-niche-market Kyle has a tutorial on this if you are Premium: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/the-core-fundamentals-of-researching-niches

Here is a link i wrote to Google's Free Webmaster's course to help you to get moving in the right direction; https://jaaxyaffiliatekeywordtool.com/google-seo-training

Some Suggestions for Members:

1. Realize that Internet Marketing is a Business, not a get rich scheme, and that business practices apply. This will become more important as you go along. Sooner or later you should create a Business Plan. SBA.gov is free.

2. Don't look for shortcuts in your training. Start with https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/online-entrepreneur-certification-getting-started-level-1/how-to-make-money-online Make sure you do the exercises or assignments.

3. Know that Internet marketing is a simple process:

A. Find a small market within a larger market (niche) where the need is great, the completion is low or moderate, and the readers are buyers rather than tire kickers. (Read this twice.)

B. Build a single product website or an information website which is much broader. Eventually you may want both but do one thing at a time.

C. Blog from your site everyday when you start. Later you can go to three times each week. Make sure you have good content and that there are about 400 words minimum on pages but 1500 is better. Post can vary in lenght but have some 1500 word pages. This is a lot of work. Consider having others help you with your writing, perhaps fivverr.com. Use pics and make sure you link from the pics to your products or services. https://www.fiverr.com

D. Attract visitors to your site, focusing on buyers. Use the social sites like Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Digg, Twitter, etc. (I use the Sociable Plugin with WordPress). If you use PPC, focus on buyers rather than visitors (tire kickers).

E. Consider having a second site that promotes WAU and JAAXY. I have been paying my annual tuition that way as long as I've been here. It is not very difficult to earn several times your annual tuition but you can earn much more.

F. For some very good free training from ClickBank by video, go to: https://support.clickbank.com/entries/23062206-4-Steps-to-Affiliate-Success I just read watched these videos again.

G. Consider drop shipping. Also, plan to create your own products to sell on the Internet. If the business gets too big, as it has for my family members, farm out the work. I think that selling your own stuff is the best way to reduce competition and to gain customers quickly (such as with Etsy.com).

Note: Our family has always been product marketers, not affiliate marketers but I do have some affiliate marketing sites. Two of my granddaughters make baby clothes and have about a dozen employees. They are putting their husbands through college that way. One granddaughter earns a third of a baby changing blanket company. She wants to start another company now which she solely owns. My #3 son is a vet. He has 15 kids so has always had a business on the side. He sold IrishFluteStore.com a while back and is now in the herb business where he makes a lot of money. I use to sell books and flagpoles, but am now pretty much retired from books. I still work about a dozen sites.

Steve (Ivetriedthat.com) wrote a great post on how to succeed here. He allowed me to make a video of the main points: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/10-things-down-and-10-important-things-ive-learned#

I update each site every week, some more often.

Good Hunting!

Dear TJ,

I am making a website with 500+Affiliate marketing material such as banners and widgets and they paste in javascript. I need them in our language. How can I manage, would you like to help me?

Hey, John, I find your post very interesting; I know you're kidding because an 84 years man, is a man we ought to be anxious to hear from. One wise man is reported to comment that if we neglect the wisdom of those living or dead, we're domed to failure. Write again soon, I'm one of your fans.
