Phillip,
I may be the sole guy to recommend this to you here, however, I think that a book launch would be best served by a landing page or funnel as well as by building your own group and community and in doing so you can achieve two objectives: 1. collect E-mails and build a list of warm and hot traffic interested in your book/products/services and, 2. invite those on the mailing list to use the community as a user engagement platform (this particular platform will also allow you to create membership plans, create and offer paid courses, it has an app for mobile users and it is, for the basic features FREE and affordable for the most advanced version).
That being said, I am sure that others here more capable will chime in and provide you the best info or answer to your question.
Blessings!
Thank you for taking the time to respond, very useful. I may be a little naive but are you suggesting WA itself or a particular platform. I was looking for a theme on WA to set up what you are suggesting above and of course there are so many to choose from? Thanks again, Philip
Philip,
Sorry to be vague, sorry to have done so on purpose.
Why?
Because I would rather not suggest any products or services outside of WA and risk the appearance of promoting any non WA products, services or platforms. I will send you a PM with specifics.
The last sentence in my prior comment is intended to say that others here at WA (with better technical WordPress skills than me) can recommend
Either way, through my suggestions or of others here, I am sure that you will be given the best answers you seek.
Blessings!

Hi Hudson, I have not launched any books here. I just finished reading, AffMktgRT's comments and would kind of of role with his information.
Lot's of great suggestions there.

Okay this may sound a little naive but I will ask it anyway. We need to choose keywords that make sense and I get that, but how far does this go.
Let me give an example.
Hey Philip,
What I try to remember when deciding on a title is to ask myself what question might someone ask while trying to find my information, and then I work at adding my keywords into that.
I'll use an example that I found worked for me years ago...
back when I was trying to find out what was going on with my impatiens flowers that I had planted allllll over my gardens in my fenced back yard.
Every day, I would discover more and more odd damage done.
First, the lighter colored pedals would be gone. Next day, the leaves from those blossoms would be gone... and the next day, the stems right down to the ground were gone.
At first, I honestly thought some human was doing it.
However, after over 6 months of searching off and on online to see if others were experiencing this, I FINALLY found out what was happening...
That's when I decided to write a post on my personal blog in order to help the next person... and I titled it JUST like I had been searching at the start "What animal eats impatiens only".
Surprisingly enough, that is one of my most popular summer time posts... yes STILL... even though I published it back in 2011.
If you have EVER searched and searched for information and couldn't find what you were looking for as long as I had been searching that is when you learn how to formulate your post titles.
Hope you find this helpful.
I've been trying things like Jobs: Retired Seniors Still Want To Work!
Then the url just becomes jobs retired seniors
My understanding is colons, exclamation or questions marks do not affect the search results. I'm not 100% sure if this is legit but I do have posts that are ranking using this type of title.
Well, you can be creative as to how you use 8it. An example just off the top of my head. I know the example doesn't make perfect sense but it makes more sense than it would do
You will know a lot of people who are approaching retirement who will still be thinking "jobs retired seniors". They know that their pension will not cover their needs.
I would intersperse this in the article with jobs for retired seniors. I would also think of two or three more creative ways of using which would take me more time than something just off the top of the head

Hi - found out from the app support today that it requires XML-RCP to be run at the host (WA). Sent a ticket to WA support and they responded that this XML-RCP is attacked frequently and so is disabled for security reasons. Back to the app support but I guess this is the end of using it.
Good to know. Too bad there isn’t a work around but nice to know site support is keeping our accounts secure!
It’s known to be a bit temperamental. I had issues a few years ago but it’s got better since. I tend to only use it for creating rough draft ideas and outlines before switching back to full WP for refining content and layouts.
Hope this helps, Dave
Thanks, that’s very helpful. I thought it was something I was doing wrong, clearly that may not be the case. Just one question please. When you say switching back to full WP is that on a laptop/windows device or an iPad please? I can use my laptop okay but I wanted to get the same capability on my iPad as this is easier to take around with me (and it has the rest of my stuff on it). Using the full WP on an iPad I can’t seem to get to work for me. Thanks for your help.
I regularly access my WP site on both my iPad and laptop. I have the Classic Desktop plugin installed though, as Guttenberg editor on iPad is impossible to use. That might be part of your problem?
Dave
Thanks - I now found out from the app support that it need XML-RCP on the host (WA) and site support tell me this is disabled for security reasons. So back to the app support desk!
There has been a spate of XML-RCP attacks recently. It's known as a target for hackers. Be careful if you enable it.

Hi, thanks for the advice - let me show my ignorance - I thought I was still on the classical editor. How would I know if I was on the new one please? Thanks
Thanks but I checked this and cannot see this plug in. Are we saying I should add this to get rid of the problem please?
Thanks, but once again not my area of knowledge - which setting should I be looking for. Please? The word press area doesn’t seem to have any settings.
For the classical exitor, look here: How to bring back the classic editor in WordPress ? For the ipadpro settings, consult your store or official site of apple: https://support.apple.com/ipad
Thank you for all your help. Here’s what happened. I installed the classic editor and found the same highlighting problem existed. Started to play with it and found that if I use the select command and touch the right most button which appears the system highlights a huge block of text. If I then go to the end of the highlighted text and tap on the blue button I can move the “end” of the highlighting back up the screen and eventually only highlight the line or smaller paragraph I need to. It may not be the most elegant solution but it works. I also did check the iPad Pro settings on Apple as you suggested but there seems no report so far of this problem in IPad Pro. Many thanks for taking the time to help me. If I find anything further i will update this area.
I've had that same issue. I usually use my computer but I was going to try using the Apple Pencil to see if I could use it to highlight stuff. Not tested yet though.

I also have the same issue when using my ipad to type in the search query. Maybe it's an ipad/tablet thing as this feature works perfectly fine on my android mobile.
Would be interested to know if others are having similar issues in their ipad/tablet as well.
