I attempted to get a .com domain of a site I would like to start and it is not available. The .com version is not currently in use and someone is just holding the name. I do not

Mine,s is .org.The next best one is .co.uk .Where did you try for the domain,I go to go daddy, but I know Kyle and Carson recommend Name cheap.

.com is always best - I'll search and search until I come up with an adequate/and available .com

I bought a .co for one of my domains. It gets around 1500 organic searches and is still growing slowly. Obviously, I have no way of telling if my website would be getting a lot more traffic and ranked a lot higher if I had a .com domain.

If you do get one, be sure to watch out for the renewal fees, they tend to be higher for the .co domain than the .com domain.

Thank you for your reply. It is good to find the mixture of results from everyone.

I never recommend a .co, plain and simple they will not rank well at all. By all means, the .com domain is the very first option with .org being the second best.

I tend to look around until I can find a domain that I like and that is a .com top level domain (TLD).

Thank you for your input. Ranking was the key reason I hesitated and came to Wealthy Affiliate to ask for advice.

I have a .org which has ranked OK. Wendy.

Thank you for your answer

You're welcome.

Hi steve. what site do you use to buy your domain. there is a lot of sites that offers .com for about $9-10

I checked several. I started with NameCheap, then yola, then I went to the whois lookup and saw that godaddy was the registrar so I tried there.

Ok. Please look at www.loopia.com i have bought my .com domains there for $9-10

Thank you for the suggestion. I will check it out.

you're welcome :)

i advise you to stick with a .com instead =)) Google rank wise, its your advantage =))

Yes that would be the best, but they want entirely way to much money.

I feel ya

I am not sure I also came across this problem and I ended up choosing .space

Thank you for your insight

I did love their video http://www.go.co/about/
in fact, they stand for innovation, renewing, creating oppertunities.
I do not know how it will be attended by Google.
It gives me a good feeling though

Thank you for sharing the video.

Hi. You would be better off getting a .org or .net instead of a .co. because .co is actually a country code for Columbia. Also, they do not rank very well, compared to a .com.

Maybe I should try translating my site to spanish. I might strt killing the Google Columbia SERPs...lol

I have been adding to my site and am looking for feedback. The URL is www.MyGarden

Ill check it out!

Great Job Steve

I am probably nit picking (I am good at that!). i think your site is well done. A couple of things. Climatis is spelt Clematis, trellis has two l's and I would put "personally" at the front of the sentence not the end. Boy I have written so many reports and reviewed others that I just can't help myself! Also there is a book written by an Aussie, Ester Dean, about above ground gardening. It was the one that started me off years ago.

I like nit pickers. They help a lot when you need critiquing. Thank you for taking such a close look at the site. I will make the changes. Also I will have to check out the book you recommended.

Nit pick with me anytime. My current yuk is using the left shift key. You might notice my I's often look like i's. This is not intentional - it is the result of keyboards getting smaller and smaller and I miss the shift key! Please note I use Australian (ie English) english!

Fantastic, I think you're on your way to great success!

Thanks for checking the site out.

It works for me. I like the style layout and illustrations. The links worked and I found it easy to read.since you asked my only minor, really minor criticism would be regularl switching between the use first and third person. But that's perhaps being pedantic as I found it enjoyable to read. Wishing you every success.

Thank you for the advice. I will keep that in mind when I am writing.

well done steve you got awesome site, keep it up

Thank you for checking it out.

Hi Steve, I am going to be brutally honest with ya. You have a great site going on there. I did not see anything wrong any where. Everything worked great. You think you might get something going about Arizona? I have two garden beds that I use to uses but have let them go cause I just don't have the time. One day I will get back to them. It is really hard to grow during the summer here. If the Sun dont kill it the heat will. :( But, I still enjoyed gardening.

Thank you for the brutal honesty. It has been a lot of work, but it has been enjoyable. Gardening in Arizona has got to be rough. You are in a different zone than we are, but I know the Arizona yellow bell, Mexican honeysuckle, or a variation of the Lantana shrub should work nicely.

I love it, Steve. Imagine, I grew up in a farm, in the tropic. Your site has beautiful colors and simple elegant design. I hope to see more content in the future, since the gardening matter is almost infinite. Thanks a lot. Ah, and I wish you great success.

Thank you for taking the time to check out the site and for the complement. Nice to be reassured it is going in the right direction.

Wow, you've been busy! Your site is looking great, the color scheme goes great with the niche and looks very professional and the background picture goes along well too, you're writing is good as well, under the greenhouse pic you'll need to separate 'builtusing' but that's an easy fix. Maybe put your pic on the about us page, you should be proud! Overall...excellent job, I really like it!

Thank you for catching the typo and taking a look at the site.

It's very nice and well organized. So far it looks really good.

Thank you for taking a look. I appreciate it.

Google+ gives you the most for your time, but now that I have analytics working I see that Tumblr is giving me visits.
