Am I correct in understanding that all the posts should also reflect on the main keywords for the site, or for each post subject?
Thank you for the response! I really appreciate that my questions get answered so fast here on WA
Not all posts need to reflect the keywords of the site but they need to be on subject and relevant to your site topic
Example on my site myiphoneuserguide.com
Home page - iPhone user guide
Other pages = "history of iPhone" - "history of iPhone operating system"
My sites about, iPhones so all things relevant to iPhones go on the site
The keyword can vary but the topic must be relevant
My blog posts will be "latest news on iPhone"
Hope you get the idea = Google wants relevant fresh content for the end user
Barry
The keyword(s) should be in relation with your post, if it's in relation also to your website name, no problem.

I may need advice with my keywords and SEO
Char, I see you have expert help - let me know how it turns out if/when you get the time. My very best wishes !
Make sure your site is fully optimized. Here's a LVC that will help. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/seo-checklist-cheatsheet
No not necessarily as there could be various factors involved. What keywords are you using to search?
If you let me know what your website URL is and the keywords you used to search I can take a look from this end. However, keep in mind it can take a while for your site and posts to be indexed by the search engines particularly if it is a new site.
Could you explain what your problem is. Have you installed All in One Seo? Have you made your registration at Google analytics? Your post is not showing up on Google, not showing up where? So if you want help detail your problem.

Im ready to publish but need pointers on adding forms to wordpress
Wish I could help. I'll be getting there too some day. Best of luck with it! I know the WA family will be there for you.
Mailpoet is a plugin you can add to WordPress when you go to plugins section in the Dashboard, click 'add new' then search for 'mailpoet' or the email form of your choice. Once installed and activated you need to scroll down to appearance and click on widget where you can add you subscription form to the sidebar by dragging it across and placing where you wish it to be seen, usually at the top is a great place. Hope this helps. xoxo
I'm using Aweber which has good tutorials and is quick and easy to use when you get the hang of it. It's not free, but they only charge $1 for the first month.
I am trying to add the mailpoet widget to a specific place on my page, but im uncertain how to do this. Very green with wordpress. I go to appearance>widget> but how do I get it on the bottom of my page?
... let me know if you need any more help - widgets usually go to the Sidebar, but I'm sure you can get it to the bottom if that's where you want it.
I think it should work just fine for now
... today's Kentucky Derby Day so I will be away from the computer for a while.
There are several ways you can accomplish this. You are wanting to start creating a list, so you want to use a service. There are several out there. Here is a list:
Aweber
IContact
GetResponse
MailChimp
You are wanting an autoresponder software to help you. There are also some plugins you can use, but I played with them and did not like them.
Here's an answer from an Expert (Rich):
If you don't fall foul of their exclusion list, you can start with free services such as MadMimi http://www.madmimi.com However, do check their excluded categories at https://madmimi.com/legal/terms as if you breach their terms they're likely to delete your lists without warning and threaten you with a $250 fine! There's training on setting up and using MadMimi here:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/setting-up-a-free-mailing-list-with-madmimi Mailchimp http://www.mailchimp.com also offer a free service but again with similar excluded categories:
http://mailchimp.com/legal/acceptable_use/ If you're on the "proscribed" list, ie. it's a Bootcamp site, etc. then there's paid services such as Feedblitz http://feedblitz.com starting at a couple of dollars a month, or the more expensive AWeber http://aweber.com at $19 per month. :) Rich.
Thank you for the tip, I was interested in this option until I read the comments and they are opposed to affiliate programs.
Yup, in that case, go with Feedblitz http://feedblitz.com or AWeber http://aweber.com :) Rich.
... not sure what you mean by the GC bar?
I just now installed and put up a Subscription Form - it was pretty easy - you can see it here:

You need to be extra careful if you do this yourself, if you don't have your own dedicated server or IP address. If anyone else on that server is flagged for spam, it can cause your emails to be blacklisted too. Rich.
