I think you should allow comments. Keep an eye on your comments and if anyone gives you a negative comment just delete the comment and block them. There is plenty of room for everyone make money on the internet without having to put up with the naysayers. Why should you lose the positive comments because of those timewasters. You can learn a lot from comments about what your audience wants and at the end of the day that is what we are all trying to find out.
I recall Jay mentioning turning them off, but I'm guessing it would depend on the type of video and the goal of the video.
I personally leave them on but these are generally tutorial type videos.
Plus when people comment or ask questions they have the option to help spread the reach of the video, having the comment and video show up on G+ etc.
But on the other hand having people visit my site to ask questions would have benefits too.
This may help to understanding youtube and why not to use them for video hosting --It may tough on your need !!!

Thanks for that Ed. It's not the one I was looking, but I've just started watching it and it looks useful and interesting.
Going back to watch it all. Thanks again.
I think it would be better to leave them on unless your getting a lot of negetive feed back that you dont want others to see
Fair point, but I'm curious about why this person (it might have been Jay) turns them off.
Think I'll send him a PM and see if it is him.
I've just done some reading around. I've decided that until someone gives me a compelling reason to turn them off I'm going to leave them on and moderate them.
Will still let you know Jay's response.
Jay got back. It was his vid. He said he turns them off and directs comments to his website instead. Not really sure how that works, but that was the answer. I'm going look into it some more.

I've created a training video, but got nowhere with it trying to get it live. The video upload procedure isn't working, for me anyway.
So I've decided to do it as a blog. So is
So it looks like the answer is "NO," correct? Or have you since found a way to embed a video into a WA blog post?
Easy, if using youtube. Under any video there is a "get embed code" link. Just click that, copy the code, paste it in the right spot on your editor's Text-Only view.
Thanks JessHop! The fact that I could not find this simple instruction tells me that a short, quick training post is in order! Will you be doing that?
No worries!
I haven't been a premium member long enough to create videos, but I will add it to the list of training sessions I am planning.
That list now has two topics.
Try it out and see if it works for you--I used the embed code in a WA post this morning and it looked like it had worked. However, when I published not only was the video gone, but everything I had included after the video was also gone!
Here is a post I created that might help you. http://buildadvertiseprofit.com/using-wordpresss-youtube-plugin
Hope this helps.
Here's a quote from my own question above "I'm talking about WA blog posts here not our website posts."
Plus you don't need a plugin to add video to your website. All you have to do is copy the code from youtube and paste wherever you want it to go. It's easy.
Do you know for a fact that this will work? It seems to me that if I did that it would show the code as text.
I've just tried it and it does display it as text which I knew it would.
No offence, but why are you saying yes when you obviously don't know the answer?
I think alexisnilo is probably correct. It does look like you can only add a link.
Hi James, I'm using Chrome. The video uploads OK. Once it's there it says it's being processed for HD viewing. It just sits there with no progress bar or anything to indicate that anything's happening.
I don't think the problem is the browser, but out of curiosity I'll try it in Firefox and see what happens.
It seems to me that you can only add video by a link to youtube. Iwould be advisible to try Google Chrome, I use it and don't have any problems with the videos, it is also very fast. Where I'm living the internet speed is low, bad provider service; if I did not use this browser my job would be very difficult.
Hi alexisnilo, yeah I can see where to add a link. If it comes down to it I'll just have to that. I have a very fast internet connection so that's not a problem. There's something going on at the other end methinks.
Back from shopping and it's still sat there. Obviously nothing's happening. I'll try Firefox now.
Just curious as to what browser you are using? I have had trouble creating a training using IE, but when I switched to Chrome I had no issues.

I've uploaded a video as a training. When I go to view the video in my profile there is a message saying "Processing Video. your video is being optimized for HD playback."
It's
file size...get a large pot of coffee and a larger side order of patience....infuriating but nothing wrong..
Hi Andy. Unfortunately there is something wrong. The file is 30mb ish. Kyle was going look into to for me, but he's never got back
I blogged it instead with a link (can't embed) to the video.
Edit.
I've removed most of this post as it was said in frustration and of no value to anyone.
Steve when you do videos, before you start, check the settings of the camera. Your camera will give few sizes of pixels you can choose, use smaller pixels so its easier and faster to send and download videos. You should also turn off HD if its available on your camera, HD is big files and takes long to download if you have slow connection.
Hope this advise will clear up some headaches.
Not really Nick. I've already stated the size of the video and that uploading (not downloading) it is not the problem. I've also stated that I I have a fast internet connection.
Plus it's a screecast so camera's have got nothing to do with it.
Hi Steve , only tine will tell --LOL I found different amounts base on my PC capabilities. My old ones --very long --my new one faster.
Coach Ed
I do remember it taking quite a bit of time to upload when I posted my training videos, but I don't remember just how long...
Sorry I can't be of more help :(
Thanks Stephanie. I don't think it should take this long. We're going out to do some shopping shortly. I'll see what the situation is when we back.
This WA member https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/pauric Pauric has done his own video on his website. Maybe you should direct the question to him
Well I wouldn't get too excited if I were you :-)
It's only the second one I've done and it's a bit rough around the edges. I'm hoping I'll get better at it the more of them I do.
It's about how to change the font size and colour if your theme doesn't give that option.
I think that this question should be answered by one of the first twelve ambassadors. As they had recorded a lot of videos before. So, you have to wait.

I've just created a new screencast to use in a training. I have 4 options for the format I can save it in: Quicktime (MP4), Windows Media (AVI), Flash or animated GIF.
Hey found this for you. Video Training by magistudios
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/enhancing-your-blog-posts-with-video
That's talking about posts on our websites, I'm already doing all that.
The problem is trying create training here on WA.
Steve I think MP4 are less pixels with higher quality so it will load faster. I also checked the pen before and it only said you have to be with WA for more than 3 months before you can start training.
I do believe you can get paid for training once you have been on WA for 3 months, as I want to do it as well
Barry
Does that mean you have to ask permission to do training? I just clicked the pen button at the top and chose the training option from there.
I don't know, I want to find out this as well, I asked kyle a while back but got no response about this, I have not been here 3 months yet so I will have to try and find out some more, if you find any answers please post them, as I would like to know more about this option as well
Barry
Will do. The option was there so I figured OK why not. I was going to it as a blog, but I can't see a way to embed video there. I have the video on youtube so embedding it would be the easiest option.

I have read your post and think you should reduce the amount of text that you have before the heading "Things have changed for the better". To me you are from this point onwards telling your visitor about SEO and what Google likes. Your use of the video is really good. Hi Mark,
Thanks for the comment and for spotting the extra they. I'll get that sorted right now.
Strangely enough this topic is one that I am considering carefully. I think that my post/pages are a bit too long. However, my site has just been approved for Google Adsense.
I've been approved for adsense as well. I can't make my mind up whether to bother with it or not though.
OK. Here's the last post I wrote. It's just under 1600 words. What do you think; too long/too short/rubbish?
http://fremman.com/seo-for-the-confused-allow-me-to-unconfuse-you
I just read it all again and it didn't seem too long to me, but it's my own thoughts so I won't be the best judge.
I've been thinking (that's that burning smell) and wondering whether to do that. I'll have a look again and see what I can do. Thanks Wendy.

Thanks for all the comments so far. I should have mentioned that the site is my WA promotional one.
When I'm reading a long post I tend to skim, so I look for helpful sub-headings and highlighted points, and info boxes. So then I get what I want and others who read it all get what they want.
HI Steve, I think it depends on your niche. I know of someone who writes a long blog, as her niche is related to science, and everything needs to be explained in detail. If I'm interested and I need to make a research on her topic, I wouldn't mind reading her blog at all. If your topic can be written concisely, then you might need to re-think about how you write. Think about the types of people who are going to read your site. That's just me.
I think it depend on what kind of people you are trying to connect to.
Long post are okay for older people.
I think its up to you to decide how long a post should be.
A way to test it is to sit back and read a post until you get board (well a long post that would be) Then count more or less the letters, that would give you a general idea of a standard post.
However there's many aspects to take in consideration like,
not everyone is the same
not every ones interests are the same
not every ones concentration span is the same
So I'd say when writing a post
you need to make it your own
Make it interesting
Make it easy to understand
This way you will get the most response from people that are interested in what you are writing.
You still gone get people that not gone finish the read, but that is not something to worry about., they would not be interested whatever you write on that subject.
So to sum up, as long as you are happy with what you wrote there is no length limitation to your success!
