Wealthy Affiliates Most Valuable Asset to a Visual Learner

This is my very first blog here at Wealthy Affiliate. To even say the word Blog and finally understand it is amazing to me! I have heard the term a thousand times, but never really understood it. In addition, to try and to understand that you could actually make money by blogging was even more difficult to wrap around my brain until I took the initial free course here at WA. I have learned so much in these past two weeks it is mind blowing.

However, my struggles through the entire process, is that I am categorized as a “Visual Learner” or “hands on” learner. Once I see something done, I got it! Nevertheless, to try to read about how to do something I have never been familiar with before can be not only be frustrating, but also self-belittling. I hate feeling like an idiot when it seems like it is so easy for other people. Fortunately, in this community, I do not have to feel that way; I just had to reach out.

I am writing this blog to encourage the newbies in flooding the board with your questions, and take advantage of the video tutorials, as a visual learner, they really can clear a few things up. Although I am a premium member, I am still wet behind the ears and have tons of questions to ask before I will feel completely comfortable with all that I am learning and executing.

One suggestion I have that would be helpful to me, if it is not already out there, is a video tutorial on more detailed construction of a website using WordPress. For instance, I struggled with how to place the widgets on my page, how to hide the “home” page, how to add a menu, and making the site my own domain if possible. Some of these questions are currently still unclear, but this in its entirety is a learning process to richer things in life.

My advice is do not get frustrated and give up. Reach out to the community and give them a chance to guide you through the rough patches. You are not an idiot because you do not understand something, you are just not familiar with it, but it can be taught and you can and will learn! That’s the most valuable asset that the Wealthy Affiliate Program has to offer, in my opinion.
