Has anyone else seen this response in Google Search Console? I tried to click on request indexing for a post I just published and it was disabled. Then I saw this response (bel

Yes it’s been like that since October. Your posts will still get indexed, it just takes longer

Thank you. :)

apparently google are starting ot index paragraphs as well as whole artices
this means they need the indexing power of their machine all to themselves
i think it is taking longer than expected
your articles will be indexed in the fullness of time
best way is to get a link from a well crawled site ( hint like this one)
so get your link on the feedback or comments thread and you should be indexed soon.
otherwise promote as usual and wait for indexing....

I can actually confirm this now.

I've written an article about two weeks ago based on a certain keyword phrase - it's ranking position 12 in Google.

The next day I wrote a different article, but still related in some manner to the first article.

In fact, I have a specific paragraph in article number 2 that mentions article number 1 and hyperlinks to it using the keyword phrase.

That particular paragraph from article two is actually ranking in position 3 of Google for the same keyword phrase (so nine places higher than article one in its entirety).

The meta title shown for article two is exactly the same, but the meta description showing is that actual paragraph which includes the keyword phrase.

Go figure.

LOL.

I'm not sure what to make of it all yet, but this "paragraph indexing/ranking" certainly seems to already be in effect.

Partha

it is a blessing and a curse
if you think about it - if people can get all of the answer they want from reading a pragraph form google why would they visit your site....
google wants to keep people on site as long as possible
so i like it and i am worried about it and its affect on page views....
google will only index complete standalone paragraphs not something that indicates that they need more info from the site....
i will keep monitoring it and see how it goes
pleased you have got one of these already Partha
phil

Thanks for the tip. :)

Hi, this has been suspended temporarily by google pending updates.

You posts will get indexed by google.

Renee, Google has been working with the indexing feature for a while so really don't know when we could have access to it again.

I am looking for an easy plugin for email sign-ups on my author website to do book giveaways and contests. Does anyone know of one that would be safe to use and won't slow down

Most autoresponder and mail collection services are a separate fee. They have to store data and send out emails, hence the cost.

Many people use an additional form building plugin on top of this. For example, I use Aweber for $19/month to collect and send emails, but my form builder plugin is OptinMonster, which is like $300/year for a subscription.

I think Mailchimp and/or Madmimi allows for some free subscribers, but they cannot be in select industries, and there's a limit to how many free emails you can collect.

Thanks Nathaniell. That’s very helpful. :)

You can use Mailchimp plungin it you have a Mailchimp account. Similarly, other autoresponders have plugins you can integrate as well. You can use Forminator, Contact Form 7, WuFoo, WPfors... there are many of them depending on what you want to do with the form

Thank you Andrea. I will take a look at them. I appreciate it. :)

Does anyone know if WA sends out a domain name renewal reminder prior to the domain expiring? (This is if you secured the domain name through WA)

Thanks,
Renee :)

Yes, I certainly got one when my domain was due for renewal.

Derek

Sure, who would love to lose a lovely Premium Member? So need not to worry.
Regards,
Gaurav

😊

yes. Our WA system is automated send you an email reminder about your domain name site renewal before the expired date.

Around 3 months before your domain expiration, you will receive an email reminder from Kyle. -> then, the frequency reminder email will come more as the expiration is near. If you don't any action, the reminder email will continue to inbox.

Even after the domain expiration is passed, the system still sends email to notify you will have 60 days to consider renew or let it expired.

If you want to let the domain site name expires, no extra actions required.

That’s good to know. Thanks for the info. :)

Renee,

They surely do, way in advance and a few before th domain expires.

Blessings!

Thanks so much! I wasn’t sure and didn’t want to miss the renewal date. :)

Yes. You should receive a reminder about a month in advance. Alanna

Thanks Alanna. :)

Does anyone know how long it normally takes to transfer a domain from Go Daddy to WA? I transferred mine yesterday and today, I see the status still shows “transfer in pr

The 60 day thing is just for new domains. Sounds like you got the process started, so I think that won’t apply for you.

It may take a day or two to transfer but is often much faster.

Thanks Nathaniell. It’s been 48 hours and still shows “transfer in progress” but I reached out to Kyle and he’s keeping an eye on it. :)

Renee

Awesome. Let me know how it goes!

Hi Renee. I hope GoDaddy has changed their transfer rules. I had to wait 60 days last summer for them to transfer my site to WA from GoDaddy.

Mark

Whoa! Really! That’s crazy! It seems like you have to jump through hoops just to go through the transfer process. Maybe they do this on purpose? Hmmm. Thanks for responding Mark. :)

Renee

Hey Renee,

Hope you find this helpful.

Hi Trish,
Thanks for sharing this. That gives me a good idea. ☺️

Renee

No other hosting company I have ever dealt with makes you wait like the did with Mark.
