Among The Stars
A short one this Friday night. It is almost midnight and I can't keep my eyes 👀 up anymore. Need to catch some 💤. Only slept about 8 hours in total the last two nights.
It has been an intense week with moving a website to another domain which caused extra work ( unintended and caused by myself 😁). I didn't plan the migration well enough, and got a couple of " nasty" surprises importing my website.
But I have learned my lesson and will not fall into the same "trap" again.

I love Les Brown's story behind the quote as well when he was asked to open for Norman Vincent Peale and discovered that Dr. Peale used his quote in his speaking events.

I have the quote from him at the front of my mind currently as I prepare for my third dan exam in my style of karate coming up in 60 days. At the age of soon 57, my body is starting to hurt in different places than in previous years 🤣
Both early stages of arthritis, previous injuries from sports and other activities are starting to show up. And it takes a much longer time to train the necessary support muscles and muscle groups to keep the injuries in check.
At work, they have started to nickname me "The Geriatric Ninja" 😂

Sorry to hear about the "nasty" surprises when performing this task, but at least you have learnt something that you will not repeat again.. after all, isn't that what life is about?

I got some good hours of quality sleep last night, Nick 💯.
I think it wasn´t quite enough because I fell asleep in my Stressless chair in our living room this afternoon as I was brainstorming my tasks and planning for next week 😄
Yeah, life is about impermanence and flexibility. If we do not embrace change and flexibility in life, we would be at a dead stop forever.
I am a bit embarrassed to end up with the problems I encountered. Besides my professional occupation in the aviation industry, I am also educated and trained as a network administrator, so what got into me when I did what I did is beyond me. But everyone has a bad day at times 😄.

Happy to hear that you managed to get a bit of "quality" sleep in there Roy.. this has been a slight problem for me recently too... "quality sleep" has eluded me.. and I don't really know why!!
A "stressless chair" sounds interesting though... how does a chair relieve one of all stress!!??
Never feel embarrassed about anything in life my friend....but what do you do in the Aeronautical industry??? It was one I worked in many moons ago!
I am a pilot Nick. I have been a Search and Rescue pilot in the Air Force in my country for 15 years. I have also been working as a pilot in the Offshore Industry too. For the last 20 years I have been working in Project Management acquiring helicopters for the Air Force.
