Hi there, I'm a 40 year old English teacher who currently resides in Lyon, France.
Teaching English is no longer a passion of mine so I am looking for alternative ways to subsidize my income.
Working from home and being ones own boss certainly appeals to me but with very limited computer skills this building your own website business is very daunting.
But I am here to give it 110% effort and hopefully in the future the hard work will pay off.

Hi and welcome to the WA family.

You are now on a journey towards achieving the goals you set for yourself, so you might want to have another look at them, to make sure they are realistic, yet challenging. They are your goals, so only you can decide them. Make sure they are good for you, as that is what you will be striving for over the up coming weeks and months and what will keep you going if you not a tough spot.

Enjoy the training from Kyle. it is excellent and easy to follow. Well mostly, but where you get lost, just ask questions as everybody is here to help you succeed and before long you will be helping the rest of us, so that we can all achieve our goals.

If you are prepared to put in the time and effort, then the only thing that can prevent you from succeeding, is yourself.

Hi Jessie!
I've taught all basic core courses, the beauty of self-contained Spec Ed, and English was one I tolerated.
Science was my favorite and Math!
I was in Lyon, December of 1960.
As an 8 year old, it was a rainy dreary day, so we headed to Nice!
Christmas was in Paris, just prior... ;(

Great to meet you Barb!

An interesting teaching background you have!

I'm not sure if Lyon has changed much in the last 61 years, but we still get dreary rainy days, that's for sure!

I wish you much continued success here my friend!:-)

Hi Taetske!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to forward this message to me, it's much appreciated indeed.

I can't believe that Keisha has been write-banned again! Something is up here, as she is not the only person recently either.

Where do you live in the south of Spain by the way, I used to live there too!

Thanks again and have a great day!

I live between Malaga and Torremolinos, 8km inland in Alhaurin de la Torre in an organic farm since 1981.
I am not aware of the happenings in WA as I am in hiding since April therefore not active on the platform. I have been updating my websites; it took 1 year.

All the best, Taetske

Hi Jesse! Thank you for following me back. "Lyon France"; I was just commenting on the fluency and beauty of the French dialect. My dad lived in Arhus, Denmark; he recently passed, but he was frequently a vistor in France.

Your dog looks a little like the RCA Victor dog from way back. My grandfather worked for RCA Victor; he did their caligraphy. He had gorgeous handwriting; it was for sure to be envied. :)

I am the same boat as you; I'm not tech savvy, but I'm catching on. I built my first website and put up my first post. It is a great feeling. If you check under training, all of those courses are available to you. It is very impressive. I'm truly enjoying this, and I think you will too. Best of luck to you, and enjoy the rest of your week Jesse. :)

Thanks for the great message Denise!

Funnily enough you are not the first person to comment about my dog looking like the one from RCA!

Best of luck to you too and have a great end to the week also!

Thank you so much, my friend, Mr. Ambassador Nick!

I am very happy for you, my friend.

Yes, Let's celebrate it! Sorry that only for the celebration, my friend, a CHAMPAGNE! Then Red Wine is the next!!! :-)

We have to change that later to a red wine one, hehe.

Here is my additional wish for you, my friend.
Balloons represent freedom as well. More specifically, the freedoms that we experience from obtaining our goals or letting go of the past. Congratulation and Good luck!

Thank you and see you around my friend, Nick!
Hugs and love to my best friend, Nick!
All the best,

Smiley friend,
Joyce:-) :-) :-)

The red wine will definitely follow the Champagne my friend!

I appreciate the additional balloons as well and what they signify. Yes, the past is the past, it's important to learn from what has happened in the past, but we must always look towards the future!

Many hugs back to you too my great friend and see you around ok!!

Hi Nick!
Welcome to WA and thanks for following me.
I'm following you as well.

Who's that cute little guy on pic?
I have one too, he used to be a street pup, then he came in to our shop. Ended up adopting him 😊🐾

Hi Mina, good to hear from you and thanks for the follow back!

We also had a street pup who we adopted from the streets when living in Brazil but sadly after 14 great years together she passed away in January this year. She was called Jessiefido (hence the user name).

In the picture is the newest member of the family, Fifi-fido. 🐾🐢🐾
