Marketing Strategies For Better Return On Your Investment

Hi Folks

Further to a blog I published earlier this week (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/robert-a/blog/how-to-start-home-business ) this is what you could call a follow up.

First off, your marketing plan should focus on the latest marketing strategies for attracting new customers. Why? Because the online world is, and will be forever evolving. You need to be flexible enough to keep up with the changes.

Lets start with...

Social Media

More and more people rely on social media sites to find information. From old favourites such as Facebook and Twitter to newer networks like Snapchat, these sites are used by millions of people to share all sorts of content. You need to make sure that these networks play a central role in your marketing strategies. Take the time to find out which social networks are most often used by your demographic. If your demographic spends most of its time on Instagram, but you primarily post on Facebook, you are going to miss out. In addition, you need to make sure that you tailor your content to the appropriate format for each SM Platform.

Keeping A Consistent Profile

Your brand is your most valuable asset. By creating and maintaining a consistent image for your brand, you can make your content instantly recognizable no matter where people see it. This means that everything that you publish online, no matter where it is, should reflect this.

A wee personal pic in the corner of your images is a great way to give it the personal touch and people will notice your pic through time and know the info could well be relevant to what they are looking for.

Engaging With Your Audience

One of the great advantages of social media is precisely its social nature.

When you use social media your customers have the ability to respond directly to your marketing campaign. This represents a great opportunity for you to make your customers more engaged with your brand. By taking the time to respond to them and involve them, they will feel like partners who are working with you.

Quality Content Is Key

Content is still king on the internet and this seems unlikely to change. No matter how clever your marketing strategy is. If your content isn't interesting, you will find success will elude you.

Use videos, and images in your content marketing strategy.

Surveying your readers to see what they are interested in seeing from you is also a good strategy.

Share anything that will provide value to your audience and you will soon be seen as an leader in your niche.

The bottom line is that you must have great content that provides value and make it interesting enough that people want to share it.

There you have it folks, and I know that most of this blog is common sense and you are taught a great deal of it with the wealthy affiliate training. The rest you will learn from your own online experience as you progress through the training.

However, if any member has a tip or two or advice to pass on to their fellow members they can do so via a comment below.

Have a great weekend and be successful.

Awesome points, thank you Robert! ;-)

Your idea of the little photo in the pictures was interesting. Also consistency.

I found that I look for people's profile pictures when I scan through the WA Dashboard, not so much their names - so when they change their profile pictures, I often miss their posts for weeks, before I realize that they changed their picture!

Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Hello Sharlee and again thank you for stopping by and reading my blog and for your input via your comment.

The personal touch is always a great way to connect with your potential customers.

A lot of the newest members don't bother with a pic or they use a graphic instead.

What good is a graphic i ask myself, I want to see the person behind it.
I know of at least two members who will not follow anyone who doesn't have an actual photo of themselves .

This being said, what happened to yours?

Have a good one Sharlee.
Robert

Hi Robert

I understand that members don't want to follow somebody who don't have an actual photo - mine is a close representation of me.

We fell victim to a crazy women who tried to steal our identities a few years ago, and I don't want to bore you with the details, or put too much on here, since it will be visible on Google, but it was horrific.

Therefore we are not on social media, and we don't use our photos.

I really wouldn't want to go through that hell again!

So yes, there are many reasons why people don't use their actual photos. I don't mind if they use a photo of their pet or whatever, as long as it stays consistent.

What is your view about that, Robert?
Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Hello again Choco Icecream lady.

Your profile pic reminds me of those old promotional movie photos of the leading ladies you saw on Posters.

I don't mind sharing my photo but my name, that is another matter entirely. I am borderline fanatical about my online security.

I do not share my personal details online with anyone and I do mean anyone not even WA knows my real name or my other details.

I have an arrangement with my bank and the security is watertight.
Any transaction over 50 GBP has to be okeyed by my bank and only after they have contacted me first.

So yes I understand your caution but a photo of you perhaps a few years ago with a wig and false nose would do the trick lol.

Now I best get off uptown and get stuff done.
Again its because I like to deal with people face to face and get receipts for everything.
It must be late evening or early morning where you are and I'll bet theres frost on the ground.

Quite nice here in Edinburgh though.
Bye for now.
Robert

Hi Robert

I guess those posters were before my time, since I don't know about them. ;-) I guess that makes me a spring-chicken. ;-) LOL!

Yes, once can't be too cautious these days.

> So yes I understand your caution but a photo of you perhaps
> a few years ago with a wig and false nose would do the trick lol.
Well, I think my profile pic is then better, since I've send a photo and he made it into a cartoon and it is fairly close.

It is 21:15 in our corner of the world. Yes, the last few mornings the grass and roofs were white with frost. Brrrr!

Enjoy Edinburgh's nice weather on our behalf as well! ;-)

Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Still here but about to switch off.
Too young to remember the posters.
You might still see them outside the cinema if they are showing an old movie.
Anyway see the attached pic to see what i meant.
Now I'm def off out
Robert
PS
I have two other followers who live in NZ, not too sure if is South or North Island though.

Oh I see what you mean. ;-)
There are over 30 of us from NZ, here on WA, that I know of. For such a small country we are very well presented. ;-)
Have a good rest Robert!
Sharlee (Chocolate IceCream)

Remember a lot of members do not use their real names or where they actually live in the world.
They also don't reveal their real name in their Profiles.

My Christian name is actually Robert but the Allan part is my sons middle name.

But you can just be Choco lol.

I'm still uptown having a break in an Internet Cafe.
Robert

What email responder do you or does WA recommend?

I don't do any affiliate marketing Jar.
I told you already I am an online mentor/tutor.
There are lots of free Autoresponders available.

Another bank-busting-blog!!!

So much valuable information reinforced with great graphics.

You say, "Your brand is your most valuable asset" and I agree totally. You also once asked me if English was my second language. So good you noticed. I can't afford TV or Billboards to create my Brand so I have created Jar.

Jar will be my Brand. It's not my real name or who I am at lunch with you at the Four Seasons restaurant, but the information, King Content, I present will be honest, factual and Jar will strive to help, uplift, and put positive attitude out in the ether so we all make money.
As ole Jar would say, "dat b my brand, do u understsnd"?

Hello Jar
Glad you liked the blog and hope you went away with a few tips and will act on the advice as well.

I can speak 'Proper' English when I have to but out on the street I'm pure Scottish and you would probably have a hard time understanding what I'm saying.

Robert Allan is not my real name either.
This is simply because of all the ID Fraud, Scammers, hackers etc etc.
A lot of the members are of the same mind as myself so its no surprise to know your name isn't Jar.
Have a great Monday and as its my busiest day uptown its time I was off out.
Have a good one yourself.
Robert

Hello Robert, thank you for this great blog and all this useful information you have provided as usual.

Hope you are enjoying all this great weather we are getting. Have you been spending a lot of time outside and did you have a nice Fathers Day with your daughter and family.

I feel it's ages and ages since we have spoken. We need to meet again soon for a chat and tea/coffee and biccies or even cake.

Speak to you soon friend. xxxx

Hello Cheryl the peril lol.
Yes its been a while since we have been in contact.
Yes also to a fine time with my two girls on Fathers Day.
Yes also to enjoying this fine weather.
I have been out and about cycling round the countryside but never got as far up as Penicuik (don't know where you stay anyway).

Thank you for reading my blog and for commenting.
Now its time I was off into a bath.
Feeling vert sticky tonight so I reckon its going to be muggy.
Take care and yes we should meet up for tea and cake.
Nighty Night.
Robert

That's fine Robert I can very easily give you my address and if you are ever in Penicuik you can drop in for a cuppa or we can go for a cuppa in one of the many cafes in Penicuik, no use paying for it though when you can get it free.

You know I always read your blogs and comment lol. I think you would have been better with one of those cold showers than a hot bath as you wouldn't be feeling all that sticky hot way.

It is going to be muggy I think Robert, nightmare for trying to sleep. I will do and you too Robert. The next two Wednesdays are no good for me but anyone after that is ok so whatever suits you Robert.
Nighty Night xxxx

Ok Cheryl
Busy Monday for me so I'm off out.
Stay in touch.
Robert

Will do Robert. Xxx

Robert, that was Awesome! I always feel such blogs can be converted into Tutorials, so WA credits follow along with help to the community. Just a Thought.
Warm Regards,
Gaurav Gaur

Hello Gaurav
If members create trainings they do get credits which they can cash in.

Unfortunately not so with blogs or I would have made a bundle by now with all the blogs I have published sine 2014.

I used to be a trainer in my previous 9 to 5 and now I don't do it simply because I had enough of it back then.
But I do like to write and help people so I publish blogs.

Hope you went away with a tip or two from this one.
Enjoy your Saturday.
Robert

I think the hardest bit is knowing what exactly your target audience is interested in and likes reading. Once you know that, it's easier to concentrate on social media marketing campaigns. Both areas I have to learn about much more.
So very useful information for me, Robert.

Hi Beate and thank you for reading my blog and for your input.
I'm thinking your comment will ring a few bells with other members new to WA.

As I said to Loes, my two daughters share their old Dad's articles with all their friends and they in turn share as well.

That's what you should do.
Get your daughter, friends and relatives to share your 'Stuff' and its surprising how it snowballs.

Have a great Saturday.
Robert

Thank you Robert!

No probs, ever onwards and upwards.
Robert

I am new to this stuff and post like this are extremely helpful. Thanks for taking the time to educate the newbies.

No probs Donald, always happy to pass on my tips and advice.
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Enjoy your Saturday.
Robert

Still working on the last one, make it interesting enough that people want to share it, I don't get many re-tweets or shares yet

Loes Dear Lady, how nice of you to drop by and read my blog and comment as well.

I don't get a lot of retweets either Loes.
I do get a lot of shares on FB though.
Mainly because of my two girls who share everything I publish and they in turn share with all their friends and they in turn share with their friends and so on and so on, just like a snowball rolling down a hill.

Its nice to have two thoughtful daughters lol.

I hope your Saturday is going as well as you want it to.
Lovely day here and I'm just back from a long cycle ride.

Now its time for making myself some eats.
Take Care.
Robert

Love daughters:) enjoy your meal

I will indeed, just switched the cooker on, and now to raid the freezer lol.
Robert

Bon appetit

Almost time to call it a day Loes.
Hope its a fine day again tomorrow.
I will cycle to the next town to see my youngest great granddaughter (6 months).
Enjoy your evening.
Robert

Thanks Robert, have a great evening:) See you later
