Just curious, I know of some people in another Online Marketing forum I participate in that get together on a monthly basis and share ideas.
I am from Tacoma ,Wa, but my brother lives in King, North Carolina...good luck(we make our own) and good life.

Is there an Advantage to Multiple Sites vs a Single Site for one niche? I've seen on numerous occasions it's better to have multiple sites ranking for different specific keyword
Most people that promote "numerous" sites are trying to sell auto-site-generator software.
However, I do have a ton of sites. As someone that owns tons of sites, I know it's nigh impossible to maintain them all without outsourcing a bunch. And most do not produce significant income.
I'd work on ONE site (or two, max) til they are creating income. Then decide if you want to grow that income, or hand it over to someone else to maintain and start working on another.
but somewhere between one and one ton, there may just be a number that may be slightly closer to possible than nigh impossible :)
Haha. True. Diversifying does have its advantages, for both curing boredom and income fluctuations.
If you are new to this, one site. However, you can advertise one site on another as an advantage for free since you own both
If you want to go crazy like me, have more than one site. If you want a life, stick with just one.
Hi - there are two main types of site - a niche site-> very focused on a specific niche and trying to sell a specific product or two related to that niche - and an authority site - which could have 100's of pages targeting a specific niche, but where you are covering a large area of topics within that niche.
The first, you could "knock up" (I mean that very loosely) in a few hours/days, the second, you could spend months or years on building up your site to be the main authority in that niche.
If you're a patient and passionate person - then maybe authority is the way to do - if you get bored after a couple of weeks, then maybe lots of little niche sites are what to aim for.
You could have hundreds of small niche sites, or you could have one or two authority sites. Both could potentially bring you a lot of money - but you have to weigh up the effort for maintaining each.
There's no "this way is best" - it depends on you and how much work you want to put in, and your attention span.
I hope that helps?
All the best, Mark
I think there is a disadvantage if you are brand new to this type of work. It takes a ton of work to keep a site going and adding more bran new sites to that will only make it harder. You have to start by adding content and then getting back links and what not to increase your websites search engine trust. Also age of the website is a big factor.

Where can I buy the Genesis Theme from Studiopress at the best price, or is it the same everywhere?
Finally found the pricing info, $99.95 for one theme, plus the Genesis framework, or get the Genesis framework and all their themes, plus any they make in the future, for $299.95, not a bad deal actually, might look into doing some of those, once I figure out what the heck I'm doing, that is...
Also, genesis is just the framework. I believe you can build a site using it, but most folks will get a "framework" (genesis) and a "child theme", of which there are many variations.
I looked around their site, pretty slick, but they don't list prices anywhere, which makes me think they must be pretty steep.

If I'm promoting Infrared Saunas, would my niche be Infrared Saunas or would it be Health Care or Fitness, or even something different?
It really depends on how deep you want to get into saunas. I'm sure there's a lot of science behind sweat, traditions, ways to build your own saunas, portable saunas, sauna culture, etc. However, you may find yourself deep into something you're just not into if you base your entire site off of just one product.
Following Jays advice, reviews are always a good way to get traffic, but you have to be willing to do the research to provide people with insight about the product that they won't be able to just find on Amazon.
Hi Rick,
I would vote for the Sports & Fitness category since you would find saina in most fitness facilities.
Another type of sauna you may want to look at is portable infrared saunas as they are less expensive and available on Amazon. People would probably be more willing to buy them online with the lower price tag.
They do look goofy, but they're selling on Amazon!
