Is anyone making any money with Clickbank or is it just a waste of time. I haven't made any money. I had posted about 12 links on some social media sites about 2 months ago and whe
I think that speaks more to social media than the products themselves. I have sold a few Clickbank products in the last month by just mentioning them in passing. Not even promoting them!
Glad you said that, steveo because I am researching products to promote at the mo and something on Clickbank is a contender. Interesting that you think that social media are overrated as a means of promoting our sites??
It's not so much that I think it's over-rated (although I believe it can be) but just slapping some affiliate links on social media is extremely ineffective for the most part.
If you have a social media network that consist of people who love buying everything that is put in front of them then fine. I don't and I don't know anyone who is.
Have I driven traffic to my site with social media? Yes.
Did they convert or interact with my site in any way? Nope.
My sales have come from search queries only. I will say that it depends on your niche as well. Some niche's will naturally do better in social media than others:)
Ah, Ok. I have NO social network presence (except for Google plus that I am developing because the lesson I'm on advises me to) I am a bit resistant to the whole idea of social media so it is heartening that you personally have had your sales from searches. Thanks for the info.
No problem. I would advise doing the social media exercises as instructed here because you will learn some things and may find it useful in the future.
That being said, people who find your site through search queries will likely be much more receptive to what you have to say since they where searching for information rather than it having thrown in their face so to speak.
I hope that makes sense:)
Yes, good advice. i will do all the social media stuff even though I have to grit my teeth....
Okay, thanks. I'm getting a little discouraged with my websites. Have yet to make any money on anything.

For the second I have been suspended from Google+. The first time I posted a link to Wealthy Affiliate and got a reprimand. This time I tried to post a link to a clickbank vendo
I always use my website. I don't place affiliate links inside social sites. I think that is probably the problem.

Since I live in Canada I became an affiliate with the canadian site but do I also need to sign up with the US Amazon. I have not made a single penny with the canadian site.
Thanks for all the advice everyone. I did sign up for Amazon.com as well but then got dumped after a month with no notice. I guess because I never had any sales, but I've been with Amazon.ca since October and no sales there either but they haven't dumped me.
Amazon has worked absolutely fine for me, remember that blog is just one person's experience. I have signed up for both the UK and US, UK for one site, US for the other. You can sign up for any of the Amazon sites.
Remember you need to make a sale within 3 mths so make sure you're getting traffic to your site first. :)
I haven't made any sales since I signed up in October I think. Do they dump you if you don't make any sales?
You usually get an email giving you notice you haven't made any sales. then you have a little time.
I got a US friend to go through my site for a small sale, save me getting dumped. I've just started making "real" sales on it now.
If you do this make sure it's from a different IP address. :)
Not sure if you read my post Is it working
With some sites it just takes more time.
Are you getting traffic to your site? Check in Google Analytics what's happening there. If you're getting traffic but they're not staying on your site then you need to look at ways to keep them there and make a purchase (lots of training here for that).
If you're not getting traffic you need to look at your SEO and social media strategy, ways to drive traffic to your site.
Hope this helps. :)
Thanks Kathy, I will check out your post. I think I've had maybe 1500 visitors to my site since I started it in September
Hi.
If you want to earn commission from Amazon, then you need to sign up to each of their country/regional programmes.
eg. Amazon.CA is different to Amazon.COM - register for each, and use a plugin such as EasyAzon, to change your links to the regional ones for you users.
All the best, Mark
Amazon - the dirty Truth.
I think you should read this about amazon as a precaution. Also, I believe that you can sign up for more than one area if you plan on dealing with a wide range of consumers. It would definitely be a good idea to sign up with the US. Not completely sure if this is allowed though. I'm sure others will have some valuable input on this. Good luck :D
Thanks for your comment. Hopefully someone else will have an idea. I guess I should also check with amazon.

There is a very short tutorial which will talk you through this process:
Embedding A YouTube Video Onto Your Site
One thing that has not been mentioned in this tutorial is centering the video on your page/post.
Before you paste the code type
This can also be used for centering pictures and anything you want on a page/post.
Lis.
Thanks for the information. I put one on a draft post to see what it would look like but forgot about centering. I'll have to go back and do that.
