The ultimate image attribution

Good writers can compose content that is authentic and performs well in search engines. There are questions frequently asked regarding authenticity of another kind of content...images!

Members have asked about attribution free sources. While many claim to be in that state, the results upon examination are less than stellar Usually a search turns up watermarks or other attribution related tags. and this becomes a problem!

This has been found in the much vaunted Pixabay. Pexels and other sources haven't delivered either! In my experience there is only one simple solution!

I will have to look at my husband' ever-growing vault of photographs. Few of them have people in them that I would need model releases for.

I might even get him to take shots of things that I need. He really enjoys photography. It relates to what he went to school for. His degree is in media communications. I would love to get him involved in my business (a little).

Unfortunately, his images are not arranged so they can be searched by keywords.

Thanks for the post, Mike!

Most welcome Anita!

Yes when all else fails ...count on being creative.

I agree with this post. My website is 99% my photos. My cat website is with my cats. I hope it shows credibility.

Just hafta watch out for territory or site restrictions though!

Does territory and site restrictions mean where I take my photos?

Like some military installations that say no photography permitted!

Thanks Mike, that’s a good definition. Good night

That sounds like a good idea Michael.

But, are own photographs protected! I don't think so.

Thank you for that information Michael.

Wow! I must say, that was very well put.
Mike thanks for sharing the post filled wight great information.

As a photographer, I try to incorporate my own photos as often as possible. Well done for suggesting others do the same.

You know I am open to share photos , maybe we could have a way to upload our personal photos for others to use? Just a thought.

Good suggestion Colleen, A community freestock "photobucket" if you will.

Food for thought ...Good thinking...

I like this idea. It makes WA a creative think tank!

Great idea, Mike. I'll have to get my camera fixed. Have a small Kodak digital that I really love, but haven't been able to find a new battery for it, locally or online. Afraid I'm going to have to give it up, but going to take it to a camera repair shop as a last ditch resort before I retire it completely. Carol

I like how you point out stuff for us to point out!
