I honestly don't care all that much about rankings in WA. But I must say, I am somewhat curious. I don't understand why my rankings are moving upward (getting worse?) when I'm

WA rank is not important to your business. It's just a measure of how much time you spend communicating with other people at WA.

If you click on the Rank button you can see a couple of different areas that you gain points for. Simply being online and chatting gives you points, answering questions in the forums does, sending messages back and forth, and things like posting to your blog an posting training. This is why many people add a message to every single person that follows them saying 'Welcome to WA...blahblahblahblah...best of luck.' It drives points up.

I also believe one other item that drives points up are the automated messages on the WA platform that come when someone joins through a referral. This means people with very active referral businesses are constantly sending out automated messages and pushing their points up so they easily ride it out near the top.

Hope that helps! :)

Thanks. I guess the question is "How much does it take?" How many messages? How many blog postings? How many replies equals an improvement? What is this reply to you actually worth? What is the formula? And a larger question: who cares? Is it just a motivational technique? Is the competition valuable somehow?

See above for Marion's feedback.

It is not important at all.

There's no specific number because it is relative. If I send 1000000 messages and you send 1 then I'll go up more than you will. But if everyone sends 1000 messages nobody moves at all. It depends on how active other members are.

Crazy! If it's all relative, then there is no standard. There must be an algorithm of some sort. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I'm not going to spend any more time on it. Have a great day!!
