How to redirect people via your comment section
I just found something interesting in the comment section, you might find handy too.
As you know, there is a box for adding a website, and often that box is filled with a 404 website or just empty.
Did you know you can fill in any URL you want in that box? And people who click on the comment will get send over to the URL you want.
Go to your dashboard> comments> quick edit > fill in your preferred URL
You can send people
- to your WA review
- or to your home page
- to your sales page
- to an affiliated product
to any link you like!
I hope you find this tip interesting too:)
Happy campaigning!

I wouldn't do it for comments from people with live websites but it's an excellent way to convert those error 404s from abandoned websites or if there's no website entered.
Do I understand correctly, you want to add your own link in the signature of the person who posted a comment in your site?
If so, I would say this is unacceptable.I would not want to see my comment misused that way.
No Loes, I do not do this (although it is less bad highlighting somebody's word and adding link ). I make links in my replies to comments.
But this what you suggest here is unethical. It is a bad judgment and I am really disappointed to see this. I would never again visit a site where my signature would be modified this way.
Disappointed to see that people find this acceptable.
Sorry to contradict you and for being judgmental, but this is what I deeply believe in.
If the website is abandoned (error 404) or not entered then I don't see a problem with adding a link.
When people leave the URL open or add a non-existing 404 kind of FB link, I don't see this as a big problem to add a link to another post on my website.
Leaving url box open is not an invitation for misusing it. Your other visitors will see what you are doing.
Open or not, you can do the same with any url.
It is up to you, many people like what you are suggesting, I am not in the club. You do not see a problem, I do. Shikata ga nai.
Hi, Loes...it's a great idea, but I went to the comments section and it appears I don't have this facility. It could be a theme feature, or perhaps it requires a particular plugin?
As far as I know, it requires a special plugin to get rid of it, but you might be right, that's theme related too James
