Big Things Are Looming! and Hints

Last Update: October 04, 2017

Hey everyone,

I know we have been fairly quiet in recent weeks and over the summer in terms of actual "launches" here at Wealthy Affiliate, but we have some very significant projects going on behind the scenes. At any given time, we have 10 to 15 very large projects in one of the many stages of development, whether something is in the idea development stage, programming stage, testing, or beta.

What I can tell you is that is going to be an exciting fall and winter ahead! With our next big kick off coming next week and likely something later on this week as well. These are going to be a significant updates that I know everyone here is going to be really excited about.

Here are some hints as to what sort of things we are working on for fall roll outs:

  • Making Your Life Easier With "Imagery"
  • SiteContent for SEO
  • Pagespeed Analysis
  • Bootcamp, the next edition of Phase 2
  • OEC, The next edition of phase 2
  • Brand-new video training from ME on brand-new topics
  • Brilliant live classes
  • Making Your Notification Life Easier

I know we are being a little cryptic, but doesn't it make it more fun that way!?! :)

These are some things that you can expect us announcing in the coming weeks and months ahead. We also have FOUR brand-new platforms that we are working on that are going to be rolled out through the remainder of this year and right through 2018. They are going to be "game changing" platforms.

So when we go quiet for a couple weeks, there is no reason to be scared, rather every reason to be excited because we are heads down and working on some significant innovations, evolutions, and platforms that are only going to drive WA far beyond anything else out there and to make your life easier and more efficient as an online entreprenuer and affiliate marketer.

Your Ongoing Feedback & Ideas MATTER

As I usually do, I want to create some engagement here at Wealthy Affiliate with you guys and gals. I want to ask what are some of your greatest "wants" here as a member.

Within the comments below, please leave the following:

I want ______________...

OR... I think it would be great if ______________...

The more elaborate the better. We build this community based on your feedback, and we will continue doing so to improve your life, to improve efficiency, and ultimately to create more success for you and your respective businesses.

As always, in your corner and we are really excited about what is to come!

Love it. So excited!

I have a couple of thoughts on what I would love to see in WA.

1. We tout WA as staying up to date on everything and passes the information down in their updates to the platform and also in the newer training posts. But I feel that the Certification course could do with a go over to take out some of the old information. This is where all the new people go to learn about how to build a website, set it up and created their content and they are getting confused. Being new, they probably haven't worked out how to use the search bar for questions and most likely aren't aware that they might need to. When we stopped using Akismet for example, it was not changed in the training videos. I haven't checked recently so I'm not sure if that has been rectified, but on behalf of the newbies, and to avoid turning potential premium members away when discovering that the information is not as up to date as claimed in this particular part of the site, I'd like to suggest that these earlier training courses be checked and updated.

2. I love Jay's training and while it is listed from the most recent to the oldest in terms of when it was aired, I would really love to see it categorised somehow into topics as well. Perhaps there might be a way to change the way it is viewed so people can choose to watch the most latest or more recent ones, and a way to choose to view it by category. I don't know how possible something like this might be, but I know it would really help me as I try to catch up on them all. Are any redundant now? If so, would they also be removed?

I'm so happy I found WA and whatever you do, I know it will be the most beneficial for everyone here. Thanks guys. You are brilliant!

1. Absolutely and I am making lots of changes on a weekly basis to both main courses of training. There are some things being stripped, but we are also planning a significant UI update as well. Lots of exciting stuff coming. :)

2. Yes, agreed and these are some things that we have on our agenda and that are coming.

I watched the training on how to make a website a few times but I have not been able to duplicate it and I have not been able to make a beautiful website in order to attract the visitors..

I also want to know if you have any training on Twiter or on Pinterest?

Have a look at the themes and think of which of them would suit your niche. You will need to look at the themes over and over again before making a decision.

Type the word Twitter into the search box on top of the Wealthy Affiliate page, you will be spoilt for choice.
Do likewise for Pinterest.
I hope this helps.

It has taken me 4 months to build my site. I would love to see quicker response to my questions. I've had to wait 7 weekends in a row for answers that show up finally on Tuesday. I only have weekends to work on my site. I'm not sure I can continue at this pace.

Since you have limited time, you may want to choose a different format to ask your questions. For example, Live Chat. That way, your chances of getting your questions answered quickly may be higher. Just something for you to think about.

Hi Dan

OH NO!!! It should never take that long to get an answer! Definitely not here on WA! If it took THAT long, there is something else wrong. Let's see what we can do about that: ;-)

Please look to the left and click on "Live Chat" - then ask your question there. I have spotted Kyle and Carson in there at times, personally answering questions! This is one of the quickest places to get an answer if you are in a hurry and need a quick answer.

You can also reach out to ANYBODY in your "network" (the people who you are following). - just send any of them a Private Message.

When you joined / went Premium, you should also have received a personal message from Kyle, inviting you to reach out to him or anybody else if there is anything that you need help with - you can just hit "Reply" on that message and ask Kyle for help. BUT, seeing that they are extremely busy, I would try Live Chat first.

Congratulations on your website that you've build! That is something to celebrate. Yes, it took 4 months - but how long did it take to learn any new skill that you learned in the past? Learning anything new, takes time. Your next website will go quicker.

Hi Dan, sorry to hear you're having a tough time. Are you referring to SiteSupport? In my experience, they usually reply pretty quick.

If you're referring to asking your questions in comments, you can prompt the "Need community help with your question?" and select "Yes" by typing a question mark.

And like other members mentioned in their replies to your comment, you can also try the Live Chat? There are members online all the time.

I hope all this information helps!

Wishing you success in your online journey :)

I have the site up and running, but I am still doing the training which is taking a long time, but I am in no hurry. I desire to learn as much as possible and how to make my Social Media etc. work with everything else I am learning. I too have limited amounts of time, so I am doing the best I can.

I suggest taking your time as I am doing. Don't rush anything just be consistent with everything and I know it will all come together. Rome was not built in a day! Neither will our online businesses.

Hey Kyle,

My list of followers whose first language is not English continues to grow. I've been telling them I feel an automatic language translator on the WA platform just makes sense because WA is such a world wide company.

So my question (or request) to you is, do you see this as a possibility? Wouldn't this significantly expand WA's world wide membership attraction.
Reply
HarveyBrown Premium
Hello Dennis, I think that is really a great idea. The problem is finding an automatic translator that works well, but it is not impossible.
Reply
NWTDennis Premium
It doesn't seem to me that is a problem Harvey. We have the technology. For example:
https://uncubed.com/daily/best-translation-apps-for-travel-in-2017/

That's why I've asked Kyle to respond. I'm confident Carson and his Tech Team can do it. I think their upgrade project list is getting so long it's hard to prioritize. That's why Kyle asked for our feedback in his post above.

Really loving WA and the community. I learn so much information. I just learned something very valuable tonight so I think it would be great if within training, there is emphasis on making sure we include the proper Affiliate Disclosure statements on our sites and in social media that meet the FTC Guidelines.

I just saw this post, and I think it's great that WA is constantly evolving and improving! This is the exact thing I'm telling to-be referrals about the platform.

I don't have a list of things (and maybe will come up with one) but for now > > > > I think it would be GREAT if we are are able to choose who we want to receive notifications for, especially for blogs from people we follow.

I do want to be kept informed of some people's new blog posts, but not all. Right now, it's either I select the option to receive, or not at all. And I don't wish to turn it off completely, because I'd like email notifications of a select few people, because they post important, useful and valuable information. It becomes a headache when you follow 1000s of people too.

So if there is any way to select WHOM we want to receive new blog post notifications from, that would be great! Thanks! :)

I think it would be great if:

1. As new things are being added all the time (great), if there was a webpage at WA that contained the latest things that were added, with the most recent things at the top and links for more details of those things.

Function Z - Released late Sep 2017 - A one or two sentence of the function. More details link.
Function Y - Released early Sep 2017 - A one or two sentence of the function. More details link.
Function X - Released Aug 2017 - A one or two sentence of the function. More details link.

That way, people can quickly see what the latest new functions are and how to take advantage of them.

2. Adding an auto-responder. Auto-responders are one thing absent in WA.

3. Adding Jaaxy-like advanced functionally to the WA Keyword Tool.

4. When some WP tools that were recommended a while back have been superseded by new functionally, that all references to the 'old WP tools' are removed or updated. For example, Akismet used to be recommended a while back, now with advanced WA functionally it is no longer required, so there is no need for WA members to know anything about Akismet.

5. Different WP Themes have different functionally, and different 'bugs'. A year or two back, I would change to a different WP Theme only to find out later that comments on pages did not work on that theme, comments on posts worked, and so on. If I decide to change WP Theme, I need a 'checklist' of tests to ensure 'standard functionally' works, but I think that the original WP developer of that Theme should not release the theme until a standard round of tests are done in the first place, so that I do not have to invest my time in doing their jobs. :)

Just some loose comments.

I just need a blueprint showing exactly what steps are needed to build a great website without the side comments. Start with the 1st step, step 2 and etc. No sidebars, just build the site and show it in a video. Nothing extra. A fundamental basic website that I can build and then later, add on to it as I learn the additional goodies.
Wealthy Affiliate is the best I've seen. and I have tried many.

What I've found from true over the shoulder instruction is that it costs way more than it's worth and doesn't teach me anything valuable. Hi Kyle
first I like to say how proud and happy I am to be am member of this awesome community love it here, everything is covered very clearly the courses and lessons are always written and talked through that even a newbee can understand the sometimes complicated and technical affiliate marketing so congratulations on the both of you meaning you of course and Carson you guys rock!! Looking forward to the no doubt exciting times ahead.
Now that being said I think it would be great if valuable content or ideas from other members would be gathered somehow cause some members do have very smart ideas and although they are shared in blogs I think it doesn't reach all the members who could benefit from those tips and second I think it would be great if the wa courses would be translated in other languages as well, like for example in dutch but not sure if that is possible, but it would be awesome cause then wa could reach even more members Unfortunately not everyone speaks English of course this are only ideas I wanted to share.

@Hope10 Your idea of translations is great. If I'm not mistaken, somebody said the other day that there are about as many Spanish speakers as there are English speakers - so that can be a very big market for WA.

The other thing that comes to mind is Closed Captions on videos, which will make the life of the hearing impaired much easier. (Pretending not to hear when your wife speaks doesn't count in this case! LOL!)

Also, even if only the Closed Captions can be translated into different languages, that will already be an enormous help for those who are in need of it!

Most videos here on WA have great quality sound, but I know that in the past (and at a different platform), when I couldn't quite hear what was said, closed captions saved the day.

Also, I think your video lessons and trainings could be much more useful if it had English subtitles it would be even better if it was accompanied by a more or less complete text.

In addition, I would love to learn to make video content for advertising of products in order to use YouTube.

I think it would be great if you had a "Wealthy Affiliate Certified" Badge or Award that we can download or copy code to add to our "About Page" or Wealthy Affiliate Review pages to show that we have actually completed Wealthy Affiliate certification on our WA reviews (so web viewers would know that it is not some kind of fake review). This would validate our expertise and give expert status in giving the review. I think you would have to come up with some code (similar to our affiliate link banners) so that we can display it and get a link using our unique affiliate ID. Members would only be able to access that code and link if they actually completed all the progression of the classes (then it would unlock). Also maybe there is some html or other code to include that the badge cannot be copied from a website too to prevent cheaters.

Same goes for Affiliate Bootcamp - a different badge same way.
Reply
Kyle Premium
I am not sure what a fake review even is, but I do like the idea of some sort of certification that you can earn and add it to your website through widget.

There aren't any cheaters out there, if someone is writing a review about wealthy affiliate and it is in their own words (and they are a member), then it is legitimate.

I like the idea of being able to add badges to your site through through widgets. :)
Reply
DarleenP Premium
Thanks Kyle! I am glad you like the idea of adding a badge through a widget. I may have used the wrong words but what I meant by a cheater is someone that might try to take a badge off someone else's website and add it to their own when they did not actually go through the bootcamp or certification to look good for some unknown reason. I hope not but that's why I thought a maybe a protection somehow. Regardless I would really love to have it either way and thank you for taking suggestions and comments from the members.

@Kyle + @DarleenP If I may chime in here Kyle + Darleen...

When I read about "fake reviews" I didn't think about WA-members placing fake reviews (no need!), but about OTHER marketers.

Keep in mind that the other marketers out there are feeling the pressure, since WA is such an AWESOME platform that is just getting better and better all the time. One would think "if you can't beat them, join them", eh, but reality is that there will always be marketers who will keep on trying to promote their "waste-of-time"-programs and who might try to discredit WA by saying things like they've been a member, but have quit in order to rather promote whatever loser-program they are into now. But if they can't display their badge to show that they've at least completed the WA training, then we can easily call them out and defend WA's integrity.

Before I joined WA I've done a search for reviews and there are a few that I thought look a bit dodgy to me - I wondered whether they've ever been a member at all - typically the type that I too would call "cheaters" - so I assume that is what Darleen may have referred to as well.

And I understand that many internet marketers are doing reviews on products without necessarily owning the product (by research or comparison of specifications) and that is 100% fine and legitimate, but to knock WA by claiming to have been a member and to have left to rather use another product because WA is supposedly not up to the other program's standard - well, then I would have appreciated if there was a way (the badge system that Darleen suggested) to verify that they have indeed given it their best shot (as claimed). And if they have given it their best shot - I guess they still would have been at WA, wouldn't they? ;-)

Another thing Kyle - don't make those badges "too easy" to get... they should be substantial - or have different badges to display the different levels of accomplishment - so that if it is displayed on someone's website on their "About Me" page, it has some value. Think of "seals of authenticity" etc.

I think it would be really great if you could pay your monthly membership from the commissions that you have earned from referrals... Direct from your balance...

Also ... I feel the credit system could be made more robust.... I will never point fingers.. but things like using credits for the give and take areas on the platform... sharing google plus links etc... I know a lot of people make a real effort to give before they ask for them back... but also a lot of people don't... i feel this needs to be addressed.

Also with regards to the feedback platform .. I feel it could offer options more than what it does already .. ok. .. we can ask for a certain types.. feedback on content... layout etc... but sometimes we need more than that ... sometimes we need real opinions to make our sites better... rather than a small paragraph which does not always help just for someone to take a credit...

I personally wanted some help and feedback on the layout of my menu and how to make it better... and I have to find another avenue to do this...

Just my thoughts :)

Thanks

Chris

I agree that the feedback platform could be improved. I actually didn't ask for a feedback via the platform yet, but did give several reviews and suggestions to others.
I didn't want to give a feedback in sake of earning a credit. I wanted to help people. On the platform, I was offered a random choice of a website for review. The selection was made within my areas of interests, but if I am interested in sports & recreation, it doesn't mean that I must know anything about American football or baseball and their fan crowd, who are supposedly the readers of the website. I don't want to evaluate and advise on the niche I know nothing about. Before I found a site, to which I could contribute, I had to reset (leave and come back) several times. I didn't find a simple mechanism of moving to the next website without commenting on the one offered.
I didn't ask others for a feedback on my site, because while using the platform, I realized that it doesn't allow to ask for a type of advice I'd like to receive. I am not ready for an overall feedback, or a feedback on a visual design (that's still very raw) . So far, I am confident in my content, which may be questionable to others. I'll be grateful for suggestions after I implement my initial thoughts, but not yet. Right now, I look for an advice on a particular design detail, piece of text, menu, etc. So, I agree with Chris that it would be great if we could ask a particular question, and receive a feedback directly per request.
If this issue could be addressed, that would be fantastic, but if not - it's not such a big deal either. There are other ways to ask for an opinion on a particular website-related questions.
Thank you,
~ Julia

Not much to say excited for whats in store. Plenty of great ideas already listed below.

However, I just realized there is no "undo" button for when you are writing articles on SiteContent.

Deleted too much of a paragraph by accident and couldn't undo the mistake.

And with the autosave I couldn't back out to get my content back.

One paragraph isn't a big deal, but it does make me think twice about using SiteContent versus Wordpress as there I can fix my mistakes with the undo button.

So I think it would be great if something was fixed about that.

I'll add to the momentum with this, I think it would be great to have a resource within WA that expands on our already amazing Site Manager. A tool that rolls up (and allows data mining) of such outside tools as Webmaster Tools, Analytics and so on. Wouldn't it be nice if Google had "preferred marketers" and WA and it's members were those "preferred" folks.

Quick question for you Kyle - is there anything I can say to get you to leak a little more detail on the upcoming projects. :-)

Thanks again Kyle , Carson and everyone!

Haha, no official leaks but we will naturally be leaking things as they come. We don't like people to get hyped about stuff that is too far away, so we don't like to reveal things until it is very close to be launched. Some projects have a great deal of scope creep.

I think WA provides great training and the community is fabulous so I can't wait to see the new roll outs.

In addition to some of the training being updated, I feel adding a section to include the "Spamming is a No-No" list right up front would be helpful. As a new member, I accidentally stumbled upon it one day in a discussion.

Also, part of the guidelines could emphasize the fact that the Live Chat is not a dating chat. I have seen instances where people are trying to "hook up". This is not the forum for that. There are plenty of dating sites that provide that type of activity.

Keep up the great work Kyle and Carson! I look forward to seeing what you have in store next.

Hello Kyle, I would like to see a change in the WA ranking system. As that being said, The idea of a ranking system is a wonderful idea. But it would be more pleasing for the community here to understand better about what the up' and downs are about.

Recently, people have been quite agitated with the way it fluctuates. Sometimes I feel like I am competing with it to keep up and and never catching up. I feel that it will be a better system if people really knew the real meaning for having it if we can't really see what it all means.

Also I would like to see more tangible incentives giving to those who work diligent to accomplish ambassador ship. It would we nice to see more incentives given in moneytary value throughout the year. This way will surely encourage more people to strive and be exhilarated about their goal here.

Moreover, I must commend you and Carson for making things happen beyond excellence. Can't wait to experience "Making your life easier with "Imaginary."

May you continue to bring forth what it takes to make WA the best on line marketing business nationwide.

Thank you for taking your pressure time to teach everyone here at Wealthy Affiliate.

These are some great updates as usual Kyle.

I think it would be great if when purchasing a site through SiteDomains, there is a feature to "save domain for later" similar to the Amazon Cart System.

This would make it much easier instead of deleting domain names which I am interested in purchasing at a later date.

Great idea Jason, I like it. I will add this to the list. Better domain research tools is something that we are going to be integrating as well.

For starters, Kyle, and on the strength of one of your cryptic heads-up, regarding notifications, for somewhat reasons notifications of your posts get shoved in my Trash inbox - which in turns makes it much harder for me to keep up with your latest updates, such as this one.
There are quite a few things here that I would like to see twigged. For instance, when searching in the search bar, I would like the list of posts and training relating to a specific topic showing also their date of publications - some of them may be too old and no longer applicable, but at present I don't find out until I have actually accessed the post.
As Give It A Go aka Angela mentions below, some training is equally obsolete. For example, both in the Certification and in the Bootcamp lessons, you advise that Pinterest accepts naked links when this is no longer the case.
And coming to the actual Bootcamp spruce up, this is all very good, but whilst I am at Phase 5 of an older version, you are introducing new Phase 1-3 or 4, which overrule what I have already completed in terms of tasks. Does it mean that the time I have spent going through the first 4 phases is a waste?
Finally, any promotion going on for Black Friday, that you can anticipate now so we can start drafting our related reviews?

Thank you
Giulia

I think it would be great if your training segments were more interactive. For example, your training on "How to Design a Website". Each of your instructions were easy to understand, but without having written instructions it was difficult remember each of them in sequence. If you would be able to make it easier to follow, e.g. (Kyle) here is my website [my real affiliate name]. (Gerrie) [Make-A-Million-Club]. etc.

Hi Kyle, thank you for the updates and the upcoming new developments that will help WA members achieve more success. I look forward to tools like SEO content tools that can help us rank well on google and other search engines. My suggestion is whether we can have some research to inform us on google algorithm changes to keep members informed on the recent changes such as Google penguin and Google panda that affect web rankings. Is this something that WA can capture on this platform? I know you have captured this information on your recent posts, but could such SEO tools become embedded on the products you are creating. This could also help members understand other SEO tools specifically aimed at helping members rank well on google.

Thank you again for your continued support to help us create online marketing businesses.

Hi Kyle, I would love to see examples of Wealthy Affiliate member's success stories. Specifically, how they achieved their success, what type of niche, and how they successfully monetized Affiliate Marketing.

More detailed training on setting up Post and Pages on your website--there seems to be a bit of confusion with newbies on this topic.

I would also like to see the best free traffic sources that are very effective in bringing in targeted audiences.

Looking forward to all new enhancements WA will be presenting in the very near future!

Hi Kyle,
I think it would be nice to have a central searchable database in WA, where we could voluntarily list our niche (not websites - only niche).
Two reasons:
1. If I am looking for a particular advice and/or product, I could first check this database and see if any of my trustworthy WA members have their businesses in the area of my interest. Then, I could benefit them and myself by using their opinion and shopping via their affiliate links. I'd need to go and find out what this person's website is, but it's not too much trouble if we want to work together and help each other. Please note, that I am not proposing "push" method as I can see how it may cause a problem, and be against WA policy. Initiative should only come from a potential customer - not a business owner.
2. New WA members could get ideas and learn from those who already have established websites in the niche related to the new member's personal choice.

Good stuff Kyle!

Going by what others have commented below (about newbies) and something I truly would love to see, is a page or a tab added to the Activity dashboard, dedicated to a Main Home Page. (Or it is a page that is the first thing you see when you login to your WA account).

So the latest news for Wealthy Affiliate is on this page - like these posts you write. And reminding new people to start at the Green button - Certification Level. And maybe even some Success post links for inspiration from existing members. I know all of what I said is available if you know where to look and what to look for however having the very important things on one Main Home page would be great.

And the reason also is, I know any post from you guys is very important, but I don't seem to see these posts straight up. A good example; this post came out Oct 5th and I have just found it - and I do log into WA daily. What I now know is to check Top 10 posts. But a newbie doesn't know that.

So that is what I would like to see - a dedicated Home Page for the really important things here at WA.

But other than that, you are always over delivering guys so truly thankful for this wonderful platform!
Cheers, Sharon

Hi Kyle,

I would love to see an area on WA dedicated to making our own animated gifs for signatures and animated banners.

I found a site that gave me 10 free animated banners. I made two and put them in my side bar. One top and one bottom.

The one on my WA review I feel is like 'Try-Not-To-Click-Me-Challenge' (my own opinion of course) which I made by finding the image through Creative Commons Search then creating my WA animated Banner Add.

"Achieve Affiliate Marketing Online Success. Learn to quite your day job. Click Here". It fades in and out smoothly. Here is the link if you want to have a look of what I mean http://scamdetector.siterubix.com/is-wealthy-affiliate-legit to my review and notice side animated banner also that I made. I think they are highly clickable. Just scroll down a little to see it - you can't miss it!

If we had that capability here at WA we could promote that across the webs along with all the other features. It'd be another way for WA members to make referrals and it could belong in the Premium, or to further keep people here, free tool for life.

So the website offering this service, yearly fee, was over $500!! They DON'T EVEN HAVE AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM!

This could be very lucrative for WA and WA members.

I hope I have explained my self clearly and I hope I have added to the ideas and valuable suggestion to be considered.

Thank you and all the best for now.

Regards, Philip.

Many of us as we step of our game in affiliate marketing we start doing email marketing which do have high ROI. It would be great to have Cpanel because free email marketing is a bit trickier to set up according to me.

I use site content and while I do think it is a good app, I think the ability to change the font would be great. I find that once I publish the content to my website that because of the font on my site that I can speed things up somewhat to the completion stage.

If the font was bigger I think I along with many others could be more productive.

Thinking of doing this through Word to get there faster.

Gotcha Mick, thanks for the reply. I'm new to WA and need to complete some training, but I've done a lot of sites using WP over the years. So I'll have to see what the Site Rubix control panel looks like in the upcoming days. But it's my understanding that it closely mirrors WP. Try out the TinyMCE plugin first, it should help you make your fonts bigger, bolder, etc. One of the sites I've used it with is a non-profit in Virginia Beach. They have an annual event on Memorial Day weekend, so right now all the content is not on the site. We also opted for a one page format for a few reasons. But you'll at least get an idea of what I mean regarding fonts. http://pungostrawberryfestival.info/

No problem Bob. I find the fonts in SiteRubix too small and if it did mimic Wp that would be great.

I am pretty much trying to stay with what the theme allows me to do regarding fonts and keep it simple, but every now and then it's nice to be able to just point and click rather than search for html code.

I'll be digging into their platform over the course of the next few days, so I'll be able to (hopefully) offer/understand other pointers, tips, tricks, etc. and learn its limitations as well as how WP plugins may be useful.

But I hear you on the html. Like those line breaks on the site I referenced above, they appear by using <hr /> which is not very intuitive for someone starting out to build their first site. lol Peace brother. :-)

Sorry if this has been suggested already below but I can't read all your 250+ comments. :)

I would love to see a way for new members to be funneled to the Online Entrepreneur Certification course only.

I see so many new members getting lost and asking questions on member trainings (especially Vicky's 6 ways to make money from your blog) on topics that are over their head.

I wish you can make all those trainings Premium only first of all and have some kind of funnel so they can't see certain trainings outside of the OEC course that will get them off track or ahead of themselves.

I just have been typing too many times," have you gone through the training in the green button yet?" because of what they ask, it's obvious they need to do that first.

I feel if they continued with the OEC training, they would stay longer and even upgrade.

Hi Kyle
Looking forward to the updates. I always thought Jaaxy was the best value for money for a keyword tool and whilst it's still a brilliant tool, I came across a SEO tool that has more features and starts at a lower price point.
Now, I am not complaining about Jaaxy's recent price increase I understand why that had to happen. But I would like more features that would allow me to analyse what keywords any website is ranking for.
I recently came across an SEO too called Serpstat and looked up what keywords WA was ranking for and boy did I find some golden nuggets.
If Jaaxy had something similar, it would make finding your competitors keywords much easier.

I think it would be great to add another part to the training after people finish bootcamp or their niche training to have training regarding article marketing, more like a bootcamp article marketing training section.

You wrote a great article Kyle about I don't have time to start a business. I Don't Have Time to Start a Business.

I think and feel that sometimes people really feel that way. You gave great tips within the article about finding time, why not have a whole new training where people can get use to a new habit of adding new articles to their website.

The training could be a progression of articles added within each week along with building a schedule and making goals for themselves.

I know you have something within site content, but I think it should be some training along with a schedule added.

A full blown out article marketing, training, schedule, goal making, money making... if you came this far you have what takes to take it a step further training area.

What do you think, nay or yeah?

Loving the sound of the hints.

I think it would be great for those that are interested, so an optional extra, can be partnered with a mentor here on WA for a set period. Perhaps 3 months. For the how to start making money through the affiliate program here at WA. It could be a system that anyone that receives mentoring needs to pay it forward and be a mentor at least once after they have received mentoring themselves. That you need to be a member for 6 months and have got to a certain level of either boot camp or certification courses. So you have at least covered the basics. To be eligible to receive mentoring. To be eligible to mentor that you've earnt enough to pay for your annual membership up front. Something like that. The mentoring is a weekly session for 12 weeks. Maybe at this time of year where the 100 affiliate sales offer is available.

Just a thought - win/win to have more WA members making money and successfully bringing in new members.

I think including images and SEO into SiteContent would be super-convenient and fantastic - and it looks like that's already on your list.

A free image database or image sharing capability would be really cool.

I would also love to have some ready to roll affiliate links for newbies in various niche sites. I get sites need content first, but wouldnt't it be great to have a list of newbie-frienly affiliate links we could draw from right out of the gate and incorporate into our early blog posts? Perhaps iron out some common kinks at the outset.

I know some alliliate links -like Amazon require you to make a sale for them within a given time frame. Others require your website to have a given amout of traffic before they will partner with you. I'm still less than a month in, but monetizing my site seems nowhere on the near horizon.

Overall, I love the WA platform. I wish I found it years ago.

Hi Greg, I haven't set up a site on WA yet, that will follow in the next few days. But I have done a number or other WP sites for various clients. When installing WP you can set it up to auto-update plugins and themes. However, that can cause issues with compatibility and can cause a site to crash. WP suggests that you backup a site prior to installing updates, and the plugin I use for that is Updraft Plus, which you can find on https://wordpress.org/ While I understand that logging in to each site to perform updates can be cumbersome, it is still the safest way to proceed. Hope this helps. :-)

This is awesome news guys! I can't wait. I want more training as to what else can I do on my website besides blogging. I want to learn how to incorporate WA into my blog without making a new website to promote WA.

I think it would be great if we have more training on how to build a mailing list to what apps we can use for like newsletters. Setting up auto responder and what not. I know that I can do a search and it'll be there of some form.

I think my biggest issue as a newbie is how and where to put all these codes. And how to apply them. I played with it and eventually figure it out but at the same time is nerve wracking.

I use my smartphone to do everything most of the time. The only issue I have is that when I try to link a word or phrase in WordPress, the window with the gear, blinks like a button that is stuck. That's when I use my pc/surface pro for linking. Even in site content.

Yes, I read that you guys made this with mobile friendly in mind but it could improve a little bit. I went through the whole training on my mobile so yeah it's doable you just need a little patience to get use to it.

If it wasn't for the linking issue it's perfect. I think.

This is what GoDaddy says "visitors" are (current as of today):
"Visitors are the number of unique IP addresses that come to all your plan’s sites within a 24-hour period. Daily counts are added to calculate total monthly visitors. We don’t count robots (e.g., Google search bot) against your total."

I got the GoDaddy link from your post: 5. I think it would be great if ______________...

6a. I think it would be great if ______________...

Some good points on bits and pieces of cleanup needing to be taken care of...

The 'absolutely everything you need' point is particularly poignant I think because that simply is not the case.

As a beginner, most certainly you have what you need to get a very solid start with affiliate marketing...

Facts are though that as you progress with learning the business, you will need to get external tools or software to grow your business.

Things like...

(1) Email. An autoresponder (good) or an email SMTP service (better and cheaper). The free MailChimp or other platforms that starting are fine as you get up and running, but it does not take long to outgrow (or make a mistake and get shut down)...

(2) Video. A video creation/editing tool (likely more than one). Video use these days is not an option IMO...If you are not using it you are losing business, period. General concepts to In-depth training is likely needed based on the tool, and this is a whole world of its own actually...

(3) Landing Pages. A landing or sales page creation tool (NOT what you get with autoresponders, this is something quite different/more advanced)...There are so many options out there, and they get more sophisticated almost daily.

I find that some of the older systems are outdated, while some are overpriced (IMO)...These days you have more all-in-one services where you can do many things versus only landing pages/opt-in pages...

(4) Social Marketing. Some tools to automate your social marketing as if you have an account for each niche you and limit the use of accounts to the big three or four (i.e. Facebook. Twitter, Google +, and Instagram) you will find yourself quickly overwhelmed and struggling to keep up with everything...

(5) Sales Funnels. As an affiliate marketer, you may think you have no use for these or there is no advantage to going through the work to learn how to create and use them. Facts are though that these are a common method used in more online marketing segments. They are used because they work - think Mc'Donalds here....

(6) Leveraging Mobile Users. Creating an app for your website can help you get viewers you otherwise would not have. You may not realize it because you don't get this traffic now.

Just having a mobile responsive theme is not enough these days. Your website needs to be designed with mobile in mind. How does it look when you access it from a smartphone?

People will click away in a heartbeat. They want instant gratification, fewer and fewer will take the time to read through a 2000 word post.

This is where the video, pop-ups, graphics, free offers (lead magnets), social proof, live chat, etc. all come into play. These all are intended to keep your site visitors on your page...

(7) Training Update/Additions. This all goes back to what you state. Due to the size of this platform, making major changes takes time, and over the years bits and pieces of old systems/ole information/old guidance somehow 'hangs around' within the platform...

In the Army, we went through a process regularly to update regulations, field manuals, training manuals, etc. This was a painful but needed process. I was involved with several iterations of this...Ugh!

Unfortunately, this has to be done. We needed to keep up with industry (what is available, upgrades to systems and tools, new ways of delivering the product, etc.). That is the nature of the beast...

I could go into more details, but likely what would be better would be to have some sort of brainstorming session where a bunch of people smarter than me could add their wisdom to the discussion...

Good additions you have made to this post!

Cheers!
Dave : )

Some of these suggestions are great Kyle. I see three things as important:
1. Video-instruction in Vimeo and You Tube and a greater incorporation of making your own videos in the create your own training format.
2. Social Media. A specific proficiency award button perhaps backed by a specific certification exam. for FB, Twitter, and other SM.
3. Specifically platformed certification testing in SEO with a general cert or specific tracks for Yoast, All in One SEO or Jaaxy. With specific experience in Jaaxy WA might be able to offer this industry wide thus elevating WA visibility as a leader in web certification development.

It will be great to see these elements going forward. Thank you for soliciting and offering the opportunity to participate in the formulation!

BTW I'd like to see some changes in this very editor. The only way to highlight any thing is to capitalize. It would be great to use bolding in these scripts!

I'm new to WA and need to complete some more training prior to launching sites(s) next week. I was an independent insurance broker for 15 years and sold that business in 2015. During that time I learned website design and development and have a number of web clients. I joined WA to expand that business and venture into affiliate marketing.

Perhaps I'm jumping the gun, because again, I need to complete the training. But it's my understanding that the sites are built using WordPress, which is what I've used for 10+ years. Based on the comments I've read here, WA isn't offering full WP functionality, or perhaps it's that some people are still learning. But I'm under the impression that WA offers integration of all WP Plugins.

I will publish a few sites using the SiteRubix (free) platform, but I own several other domain names that I will use, which I have purchased through NameCheap, a company I have used since 2005. https://www.namecheap.com/ I also plan to use the hosting feature here, but will need to compare it to the company I use to host my other sites. That company name is not important for purposes of this post.

However, a few comments I've read mention similar concerns, namely SEO, Images, and Site Content. So here are a few pointers from an old head. lol If WA does offer the ability to use WP Plugins (as I hope), I'd recommend going to https://wordpress.org and creating an account. From there you can search all the available plugins. Please note that WP is now running on Version 4.8.2 so keep that in mind when looking at a plugin to use. If it hasn't been updated in a while, I'd stay away from it. I have several "go to" plugins that I use on my sites.

Yoast SEO: Improve your WordPress SEO: Write better content and have a fully optimized WordPress site using the Yoast SEO plugin.

WP Smush: Compress and optimize image files, improve performance and boost your SEO rank using Smush WordPress image compression and optimization.

WP Super Cache: A very fast caching engine for WordPress that produces static html files.

A few others that I use are Contact Form 7, Easy Google Fonts, PDF Embedder, Photo Gallery by WD, Shortcodes Ultimate, Simple Custom CSS, Stripe Payments, Tiny MCE Advanced, To Top, Updraft Plus, and Wordfence Security, among others.

Hope this helps at least one person. :-) Peace and blessings y'all.

There are some great ideas below. I hope at least some of them get implemented if they are not already in the works.

I would like to see some type of Mentorship program. The community is great, but it would be nice to have a goto person that could work with you to get things up and running. Mentors could earn credits or cash. Maybe it is free for the first couple of weeks to a month and then there would be a cost if someone wanted to continue with a mentor.

I know that there is training for stuff like Google Analytics, but I would like to see some in-depth training on how to interpret the data that these type of tools collect and then what to do with that data.

There are so many great ideas being tossed around here! I like the idea of getting all the training updated for the benefit of newer members. Maybe you could add a note stating the process has slightly changed and give just the updated info for now. I also wish there was a way to remove tutorials that are outdated - maybe a notification that it needs to be updated with some sort of time limit before it is removed? Also, there seems to be far too many tutorials that cover the same subjects. Is there some way to regulate that?

Of course I'm more than certain I'll be very happy, as always, with whatever rolls out as it's always totally awesome! Thanks for all y'all do for us Kyle and Carson.

I think it would be great to have a fully operational business producing income greater than the $750.00 per month Social Security I receive. Being unemployed I have to get replacement income at the age of 79 in ways that are not as physical as required in a grocery store produce department during these past two and a half years. Regardless of my body changes with COPD and being a Diabetic I can still pick up 50 or 60 pounds even though I do get winded due to COPD. The Navy & Army plus Security has taught me discipline where I just keep going forward toward the objective in Christ Jesus, my God and Lord to WHOM I Give "ALL PRAISE< GLORY AND HONOR" Amen.

I think it would be great if
We had the ability to add meta title and description and also images in site content creator. I know it is probably in the works but just thought I would mention it.
Also if it could launch to "drafts" as an option as well so we could add our image and format edits before we post live

I use the content creator for every post. I love it.
However I do have to launch live then go in and update and format a live post.

I think it would be great if _ In Jaaxy we had a better way to communicate with tech support or questions on why things work the way they do and It would be nice to see who the referrals are just like in WA

I look forward to the new changes and whatever you geniuses are working on. It all helps us and in turn we can better help our customers as a result.

***I want the option to be able to see live chat on every page of WA, so I can work while looking at chat.

==> You can see live chat on every page, there is the pop out chat within the menu (that is within the same window) that will also "notify" you when you have replies or when there are questions asked within chat.

Is this what you are referring to? Chat is certainly available on every page. Click 'Live Chat" within the side menu.

***I want "spy" tools in Jaaxy to see what competitors are ranking for, and how much traffic they get from those rankings

==> You can currently do this with SiteRank and watch competitors traffic over time. You can see where they are ranked. The "traffic" is something that cannot be tracked because there is no way to determine how much traffic a competitor is getting under any keyword.

Is there any other competition details that you perhaps would want? Traffic is just not something that can be tracked and it would be nothing more than a random guess, at best (which I am not sure how valuable that is).

***I would LOVE to see a "hire a writer" platform, so new people could pay for their WA memberships and other members would have an easy way to start outsourcing.

I want that WA produces a video walkthrough for setting up Google Analytics. It is difficult, vast and confusing. Even if not all the steps can be shown easier, it must provide some basics to make our websites run.

I think that the Las Vegas conference is considered done twice a year with easier competitive methods and not qualifying only from the referrals method alone.

As you know Carson, I am waiting to use Jaaxy again, but PayPal refuses to comply with Federal Law ("Operation Choke Point") specifically targeting PayPal's disgusting tactics.

For instance, I am on PayPal's blacklist for doing absolutely nothing illegal and therefore cannot use PayPal and they specifically cut me off from paying via credit card option. PayPal bad... WA good. Unfortunately, you haven't offered me an alternative to make payment.

So, it would be great if you would accept a personal check from me, or cashier's check, money order, whatever in order to access my Jaaxy subscription today. It's like the song, "Don't it always seem to go... That you don't know what you've got

Currently they do through PayPal only. Thousands of industries and product categories are blacklisted illegally by PayPal. Once you are blacklisted, your account is deactivated and not allowed to even use their Visa or MC option! They also confiscate all your funds!!

Vitamins, certain cosmetics, hundreds of product categories... and I'm not talking about MMJ either! Check their litany list of BAD companies and industries in their T&Cs;.... you may be on the list! Apparently, WA won't accept my personal check or money order either. I've asked many times.

Everything I have read here in the comments are all great idea and I or rather, "WE" could all benefit from them but the only two things I can think of are the following:
1) Having the ability to be able to refuse SiteFeedback just like we can in SiteComments. I have had 8 feedbacks all of which offered me absolutely zero help, 2 of which I can 100% tell, they didn't even look at my site as what they recommended was already there. I reviewed 16 sites and anyone who has been reviewed by me will 100% agree, I put a lot of thought, research and I look at every square inch as if I were a proofreader. Everyone I reviewed was able to take a recommendation from me and actually improve their site and I am sure felt they got their 2 credits worth. If someone is not willing to put the work in to review a site and help them grow, they shouldn't have the privilege of having the SiteFeedback option.
2) Having a message board. I know then we are heading to FB country but I fell wasting blog entries to warn people of a bugged plug-in or notifying about a great free webinar coming up. A Glossary could also be attached to it as I have found being a noob, when I receive help from another member whether through chat or PM, that sometimes I get lost in what they are trying to say just because I don't know a certain term, word or name. Then I go to google and then I end up getting sucked out there and away from the task at hand. Having one here would keep us on task and save time by not having to go back and forth.
Finally, I just had this pop in my head and I am not sure if it would work or if it would just be a waste of time but what if the chat room was attached to individual classrooms, that way, whoever you spoke with would be much more specialized? Again, no idea if that would even work but it popped in my head.
I'm excited to see the new deets, way to be a tease Pinkie!! I would, however, have to say that the WA is already amazing for what you pay for, so any upgrade is just awesome by the owners, it's how a business should be run, but if there's anything this noob can do to help, I am only a PM msg away.

I so agree with issue #1 that you brought up, sir! In the past I would definitely have disapproved of website feedback that was shoddily done by members who obviously only bothered to glance at one page of my websites as opposed to putting in some real effort which would have allowed them to provide something of value!

Thanks man, appreciate that. Maybe have a rating scale so you only get a review back of the same quality. I have 100% rating on Comments and review, then I get a review that is literally4 lines long telling me I need an "about me" page that happens to be seen at the top, in the footer, and in the sitemap and then told I need more images when I have 1 image for every paragraph as my writing is how you say...."A VERY LARGE BLOCK OF TEXT!!!!" So I need the images to break it all up because I know people won't stay engaged this way and that was the whole review.

Hi Kyle

It would be great if Referral Credits were explained properly. There should be information added to "Program Details" and "My Stats" regarding the 5% premium conversion requirement rate.
This way people won't be discouraged or confused when they try to withdraw their referral credits.

It would also be great if we had something like Fiverr available here on WA so we could support one another instead of reaching outside of WA to get small jobs done. Perhaps this could give members an extra opportunity to earn and help pay for their premium membership fees.

Kamil

It is explained right within the UI if you are not within the appropriate threshold, but I will also incorporate this into the training as well. There have only been a few (out of 1,000's) that have never met this threshold.

And yes, we are thinking along the same lines in terms of Fiverr, but it will be more specific to certain tasks and will be a much more controlled environment (to ensure quality) if we do head in that direction.

Thanks for your feedback.

First of all, I would like to show appreciation for all the great feedback to the developer's on Kyle's blog post: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co.... You guys have some amazing ideas on that thread and if only if a few things get addressed, it will be an exciting time indeed for Wealthy Affiliate.

Some tips or suggestions that I have been thinking about have already been mentioned but what I really would like to see is more communication. I have noticed several people's questions including my own, go unanswered for several days.

Not saying that I deserve an answer the moment I put a question in but I really think that we should strive as a team to get these questions answered as soon as possible.

Now I can't say that all that burden should be placed on the owners. It should be placed on everyone that wants to be a helper, a creator, and an ambassador.

How do I suggest Wealthy Affiliate puts this into play?

If a question hits the 24-hour mark it should be marked as a high priority question and worth a significant more amount of points to those who are trying to reach their top 200 badges and their ambassador badge.

That being said I think that one of the ideas brought up was a mobile app. This would be a very handy tool for communication if it was set up for getting questions answered quickly.

Right now I watch my emails frequently looking for questions that pop up. When they do come I have to open the email, click the link in the email and see if I can help.

Why do I do it this way? My phone alerts me of new emails with a sound and my computer doesn't. Sure I could get a third party program on my computer for this but if I am writing it's just easier to have my phone notify me.

If the app could notify me when someone needs help and I could skip opening an email and clicking a link and just see the question immediately, things could get done way more efficiently.

Another suggestion or something I would love to have is an editor that checks not only spelling but several other things like adverb usage, passive voice, hard to read sentences, simpler suggestions for words and just maybe add in comments and allowing other members to view and edit work like Google Docs.

Currently, I use the http://www.hemingwayapp.com/ almost religiously as well as Grammarly. If we could integrate these into the Site Content editor, I would love to use that editor and never leave WA when editing a document.

I'm posting this on my blog as well for further reach. Thanks for reading this long post I hope you like my ideas and would love to hear yours!

Faster Support for Unanswered questions.

We absolutely have solutions coming for this and it is VERY rare that a question goes unanswered community wide. Less than 3 per day, it is something that we keep an eye on and something that we are continually focused on.

We are also going to be implementing platforms that get the response time in a faster state.

Mobile App.

A full mobile app is not in the works, but components of the platforms and things like the live chat and notifications could certainly be pulled into an app. We just don't want to impact the actual ability to do things properly by moving to an app, which could dilute the significance and quality of some of the platforms.

SiteContent Editor Checks.

We currently perform 100's of grammar, spelling, and sentence structure checks and this is something that will continue to improve and evolve over time. We leverage much of the same technologies that other top tier platforms do, but there are likely some things that we can improve upon and we will be moving forward.

Thanks for your feedback. ;)

Sounds awesome kyle. A couple of small things I'd like - is a way to easily track which live video training I've watched. Something simple like a tick box, so I can easily scroll by all the things I've seen already.

Also, I'd like to easily see which premium referrals leave in the STATS section and perhaps get a notification when a premium referral leaves. You can see in the stats if someone signs back up, but not when they leave.

Training on things such as building an email list and more advanced training as far as growing your business. Some advanced SEO training. More in depth training on paid advertising.

There are a few things that have come to mind! Thanks! :)

I want Wealthy Affiliate to be like Formula 1. WA website represents the car(Mercedes). Kyle and Carson represents the driver(Hamilton). Wealthy Affiliate teams and membership represents all various Professions/jobs available in F1 : namely (from bottom) Cleaner, Promoters, Tickets Seller, Cheer Leaders, Mechanic, Chief Mechanic, no. 1 Mechanic etc, (to executive level) Car System Engineer, Senior Car System Engineer, Race Engineer, Race Team Manager, Sporting Manager and so on. As long as all the team works as a team, gradually improves without stagnant in a 'comfort zone', they will always one step ahead(win the race). In other words, the top positions guides the interest of the bottom positions and vice versa. The team make the 'cake' gradually bigger, distributes it to all.

I think it would be great if the training videos had script and examples to go along along with it. That would make it so much easier to grasp what is being taught as well as being able to go back to a specific detail with out having to go through the whole video again. I really hope that you consider this aspect.

I think it would be great if someone could focus on improving training video technologies, especially for basic curriculum training. Good examples are the course technologies that one sees at Udemy.com. the two main advantages I've enjoyed there is the ability to vary playback speed and having a phone app that also keeps up with my progress. Both of these help maximize accessibility and productivity.

Hi, Kyle! Regarding what I think would be great, and also help reduce the level of confusion that apparently still exists on the site comments versus website feedback portals; would be a change in naming the former, "site comments" to something else.

Site comments to a "newbie" not yet completely familiar with how the portal works could be mistakenly thought of by this person as the article writer requesting feedback on all aspects of the "site". This would include erroneously providing comments on the design, layout, structure and color scheme of the website itself. Those type of comments as most veteran WA members SHOULD know belong ONLY on the website feedback section of the portal.

Simply renaming "site comments" to something else - "article content comments" as example I still believe would go a long way towards eliminating this problem. I know that I have previously brought up this suggestion to you in a pm when the problem appeared to be at its height.

It's true that in the training the difference between the two is discussed. Still for some reason, (perhaps newbies not studying this part of the training in depth) mistakes that should not necessarily take place are in fact still occurring.

The article writer when this takes place is thus forced to disapprove of the comment, (when it should have been comments solely on that particular article regarding the content). This usually creates a level of negativity coursing through the individual who tried to provide comments when mistakenly he/she issued feedback on the entire look of the website.

A simply change in wording on the portal involving "site comments", I strongly feel will help to eliminate this problem Kyle, which from what I understand is still taking place.

Other than that, I am quite excited about the changes that will be taking place in the upcoming months here at WA. I personally have no other suggestions!

Hi, Kyle, great announcement looking forward to all the new launches.

However, I think it would be GREAT to have more ongoing training regarding Video Marketing. What I am thinking of is actually an extra training course where all the related "digital" tools and equipment will be addressed and can be discussed as well all the SEO and other marketing approaches, using the video platform.

I.E. in this video course unit, there could be covered topics like

- How to create stunning videos with which tool (free or purchases)
- What to look out for to rank better on YouTube and other video platforms, if there any besides YT
- The does and donts of video marketing, always updated
- How to create Webinars (this would include Jay's training)
- How to create and launch your own Podcast
- How to start a live screening video on YouTube, Facebook, and other platforms.

I think that video marketing gets bigger and bigger and I personally like to know how to utilize this platform more efficiently.

To have an extra course unit like Affiliate Bootcamp just for video etc would also make it easier to come back and find the information much quicker when in question about something. :)

That's just my little wish list :)
Thanks
Sylvia

Thank you, Kyle, I'm looking forward to the new platform. I can't wait to see what the SiteContent for SEO is all about. Hoping I can tie/relate my SEO training to it. By the way, I think it would be great if we had a course that showed all Wealthy Affiliate how to become focus or organization skills.

When you have too many options of good resources at your hand, a person tends to get overwhelmed. Wealth Affiliate offers a lot to help us become successful at our Internet business, but it lacks information on how to concentrate and keep organized in your business.

Just a thought.

Thank you, LeNard

I think it would be great if there was a plugin running on the hosting (instead of each individual site) the deletes unwanted/needed revisions from the WP database.

It would be outstanding if a CDN was fully operational to help with site speed.

Excellent would be some kind of competition analysis too to help us see what keywords our competitors are gunning for.
Reply

CDN is not need because of SiteSpeed. My PageSpeed insights across the board are 100/100 simply because of SiteSpeed, but we can allow you to set-up CDN if you contact SiteSupport.

Competition Analysis, we have lots of ideas in this respect and you are likely to see continual iterations of this added to

Centralized plugins can cause issues because of settings within them and people don't want to be forced into versions or away form versions they are using, this is something that we have considered and hosting is something that we are advancing on very quickly (and are currently doing things no other host in the Wordpress is doing on the security, load, caching, kernel, and processing site of things).

Thanks for your feedback Derek. :)

Thanks Kyle! As always, I love WA and tell folks I network with who are starting a business and need a website to use this source as it has worked so well for me!

As for your request for feedback:
I want a better way to see items that are searched for ranked by the credibility of the information based on the members credibility within WA. Also for that information to remain when clicked on and returned to the results.

For example, if I search for "twitter training" in the top search bar, I see results show up that search by the training category and then the blog category. Once I click on one, I can read it, but when I return I lose that search until I go back to my original search text and change the last letter to get the results to show again. (I hope that makes sense)

I would like to see those results ranked by member number, and other criteria that rank the results so that I know I have a better chance of using information from an eperienced WAer, not just someone expressing an opinion that may be wrong.

In the attached print screen, you can see in the seach and the results, boomergp08 shows up, but not at the top. He has been a member for quite a while and his information is always spot on. There are other members as well.

So, is it possible for these rankings to show accordingly and also not have the search results disppear and offer more choices?

Thanks Kyle! Keep up the good work!!

I think it would be great if we can set which type of notification we would like to “See first”, just like Facebook.

For example, if you would like to read more contents from some of the members here, you can set the notification from them to be of higher priority.

Or there’s a particular topic/category (let say SEO) you want to learn more about and you can set contents related to SEO (tagged with SEO related terms) to show up first in notification.

Hey Ani's,

I agree with you on the writing gig thing.

If you are still having trouble getting content, you can use my favorite writer in iwriter called humbleone, in the meantime.

He has good English which is simple for everyone to understand. He is on the elite level, the second best level of writers in iwriter.

And you can use him for special requests daily. He is ever available. I hope this helps. :)

Two things would be great...

1: If something similar to Canva is built into WA, enabling us to create our own blog post graphics using free and cheap images - Images that could also be bought using WA credits.

2: A website analysis tool for pinpointing SEO mistakes that could affect rankings, like 404 errors, duplicate content + comments, and linking out to bad sites, etc.

We have all the resources for building successful sites, but it would be great to have a tool showing us where we've gone off track and how we can fix the problems.

It would be great if there was training in languages like Spanish or French, I know people who don't understand English who would benefit from the training and the platform overall.

Another thing I would like is to get a notification to know when our premium referrals leave just to keep more track of their activity.

I also think it would be amazing if we could add pictures to the live chat and the questions, because sometimes I've had to write a blog instead of asking a question just to add pictures that were useful to understand what I was aking.

That's it for now :)

Have a great day ^^

I think it would be great if we had training sections devoted to:

1. Creating a YouTube channel. This would include how to make the video, how to make the thumbnails, production editing, and how to promote it.

2. Facebook advertising. This would include how to create and use a pixel and how to implement goals via Google Analytics. Also, a bit about using FB live.

3. How to create an awesome funnel. This would include info on the actual flow of the funnel. Also a bit about visitor goal tracking and email segmentation.

I think it would be great if WA had their own email marketing program akin to Mailchimp, AWeber, Get Response. It could be a separate service offered like Jaaxy is... with a free option and a members option. Also would be cool to buy pro Wordpress Themes from WA. I love the idea of WA being a one-stop shop for all our website needs.

And back pack program to run affiliate marketing system - what’s missing here may improve further under the same category of item ( just mentioned) - probably a little twist I.e email marketing with - ecommerce with focus and non e-commerce on digital product focus , affiliate system with the on - going subscription model to provide Long term value

...always keeping your members happy and excited with improvements and tools to help them reach the end goal...Making money online.

Now, on to your request. I have two I can think of right now.

I think it would be great if WA had:

1. Any Video SEO Tool
It can be something like SiteComments but for views, comments, Likes, Shares, etc. or whatever you think would boost video in the search engines.

2. A Jobs Section
I know when I first started just making some kind of (fairly decent) money online would have shined some kind of hope until the passive income came in. We all have some kind of skill, connection, or asset that has some kind of value to someone.

Thanks again for doing these "Improvements/ Surprise" posts, Kyle.

This sounds very exciting! Thanks for the opportunity to give feedback Kyle.

I will try and make it short:

SEARCH BAR
Maybe have more options in the search bar. It only gives you 20 options per search. Adding another page or 2 would be great. For example page 1, 2, 3 to click for more options. In addition, it would be great to be able to select the options to only see training, questions, or blogs in the search bar.

Yea I agree on this one. Search is pretty limited. I use google to search WA with the term (search term site:wealthyaffiliate.com) that way I get a complete picture of all the content around that keyword or search I 'm looking for. Having that within WA would be better.

Maybe ones that would also tie in with higher ranking with the search engines. Thanks!

That is good way to put it. :)

In our opinion you will never have it all, there will always be ways that we can improve things and new technology and platforms that we can introduce to make your life easier online. :)

In respect to more in depth training on plug-ins, There is a lot of resources rate within Word press on each individual plug-in and there are usually support systems provided by each plugin owner there.

We do have some in-depth training on how to properly use plug-ins: One thing we need to consider though is that there are over 50,000 plug-ins. We will be walking you through all the ones that are requirements and nice to have as you move through the training, so we do get quite involved (and this will only continue to be the case as we build out the training).

Hi, Kyle...

Cryptic indeed, but exciting nonetheless! Good stuff...

I would like to see the following:

A SALES AND MARKETING SECTION ON THE PLATFORM WITH THE FOLLOWING SERVICES/TOOLS

1. MAILER PLATFORM.

A front-end email platform that could be tied to an SMTP service such as Sendgrid or similar. AR is a requirement for affiliate marketers as they grow in knowledge and reach.

This would not require nearly as much maintenance as an actual Autoresponder but could be tailored to best provide tools such as list segmentation, split testing, etc.

It would save members money over an AR service, and be much more useful and effective because it will have been designed with affiliate marketers in mind.

Email marketing is an integral part of scaling up your online business. Although the open rates are not what they used to be, it is still the number one way to sell online.

Of course, the usefulness of this tool comes after the basics and fundamentals have been put in place, but these are already covered very well on your platform. This is a logical 'next step' towards making this a one-stop-shop?

2. LANDING PAGE BUILDER/SALES FUNNEL TOOL.

This is another piece of the online marketing puzzle that would be very helpful to have here in WA. I am once again thinking along the lines of a one-stop-shop...

I know that at the beginner level, this may not be useful, but most certainly as you become a mid-level or advanced marketer, this is a must-have tool...

As you appear to be moving in this direction now with your content builder feature, can such a feature be far behind? : )

3. MID LEVEL AND ADVANCED COPYWRITING TRAINING.

This could cover the many types of copy required for creating a successful online marketing.business. I consider this to be a core competency, and it is one that many people shy away from...

Things that come to mind it is needed for include email content, sales page content, ads creation, all things additional to blog copywriting techniques.

This is a difficult area to grasp for many people. Training, testing and scoring, and competency levels as you have for other areas of online marketing training would be very useful.

4. TRAINING ON APPLYING ADVANCED COPYWRITING SKILLS TO AFFILIATE MARKETING.

This might include how to plan, design and implement good copy into email campaigns, sales funnels, etc. General templates outlining all the requisite elements for each section could be provided...

When I speak of this, I am thinking of something along the lines of The Fletcher System. Not sure if you have heard of him (Fletcher), but he definitely has the same mindset as you and Carson.

He takes all the BS out of the so-called 'gurus' who provide bits and pieces but never the whole picture at high prices and has a membership site that provides in-depth training.

He provides simplified processes for selling using funnels for any niche.

Much like what WA is, I consider his platform to be one that is trying to really help the masses, as opposed to lining his pockets...A military veteran too, another plus point hehe...

5. A FEATURE TO BUILD EMAIL SCRIPTS/CAMPAIGNS.

Once people learn how to write more effective and compelling copy that prospects will take action on, having a tool to automate the process would be helpful.

I just purchased such a tool. It asks all the basic questions that you want to address in emails or campaigns, and then builds an entire sequence of emails for you.

You can plug these into your email management tool (i.e. autoresponder or the coming WA tool) after manually editing to use your newly discovered skills from the training here (see above) and increase conversions...

This would be particularly useful for people for whom English is not their first language or for the visually impaired (like me). It would cut down on grammatical errors, syntax errors, and spelling errors.

In my case, I know it is going to standardize the email campaigns that are launched no matter who prepares them and from where they are created...

In addition to the above, other ideas for improvement I can think of include:

6. A MOBILE APP BUILDING FEATURE.

OK, OK...I know really pie in the sky hehe....

But think about this one seriously for a moment. These days as you know people are accessing the internet via mobile. The competition for attention is getting ever more fierce. A blogger not making his content more accessible through smartphones is losing out on traffic, leads, and conversions.

In the old days, this was a really hard to do and quite an expensive proposition. No longer. There are many sellers now of such a service. It captures what you have published either from your website or FB store.business page and updates automatically as changes are made to the sites.

This offers yet another way to reach out to your customers via notifications that get a much higher open rate than email. It is another advanced feature that members would use as they become more knowledgeable.

Note this is a service that would be for members' websites, not for the platform itself. Because of the complexity of your site, I realize this is likely an expensive endeavor. Not so for most websites members here are maintaining/building.

7. A MORE ROBUST SOCIAL MARKETING TRAINING AREA.

As with mobile, social marketing is becoming ever more important for online marketers and there is too much overpriced and hyped training out there that often simply does not work.

Keeping the same mindset of simple but effective for this built out training would be helpful for newbie marketers and for the more advanced marketers we have here.

Many people still shy away from this marketing method, but as with the mobile thing, it is here to stay and is growing more and more as people are reading blogs less and less.

8. A CASE STUDY AREA ON THE PLATFORM.

This might be very useful to establish on the platform because real-life experiences offer rich grounds to learn from. I know that some would be willing to share, others perhaps not so much...

But for the ones that would share and for other members, such a separate area would highlight this learning opportunity. Comments, ideas, feedback. and the creative juices would be beneficial for all.

OK, that is likely enough 'ideas' from me! I love dreaming/brainstorming...

BOTTOM LINE...

Always fun to do these exercises and this one was no exception, Kyle!

After all...

If you can dream it, you can do it (within reason?)!

Cheers!

Take it easy on us Dave! LOL

Happy to entertain all of your ideas and you definitely have some good ones here. Maybe I'll give you some insights into my line of thinking and inside the half of the brain of WA moving forward.

1. MAILER PLATFORM.

This is a very interesting idea. We do have some developments taking place on the email side of the hosting platform. MX/CNAME records are going to be easily updatable through the UI soon so people can use their email accounts here with others services like GSuite, Outlook, etc.

We also have an improved interface coming to the email UI, a completely different platform that is much cleaner, more reliable and mobile ready. Although Gmail is the best in the email world, this is a pretty slick platform for hosting side email.

We are knocking to be doing an auto responder at this point, it isn't inflated in the near future or a priority (as there are great, low cost solutions out there).

2. LANDING PAGE BUILDER/SALES FUNNEL TOOL.

I think you're referring to something like lead pages. We are knocking to be taking on the autoresponder side of things and most of these "lead style" widgets sit on the front end of autoresponders. I know that platforms like get response have a good platform for this.

In terms of our own in house lead/capture pages, this is something That we are absolutely going to be advancing in the year ahead and this may be a segway into opening up. You never know.

3. MID LEVEL AND ADVANCED COPYWRITING TRAINING.

Yes, absolutely we are going to be covering this sort of thing in more detail moving forward. I have quite a bit of new copyright stuff that I have added recently, and I will be adding more as we move forward and SiteContent becomes a more integral part of the platform here.

4. TRAINING ON APPLYING ADVANCED COPYWRITING SKILLS TO AFFILIATE MARKETING.

See above. Lots already through trainings I have provided, community provided, past live classes, but plenty more on the way. :)

5. A MOBILE APP BUILDING FEATURE.

We are completely aware of the lack of mobile in certain areas of the platform And this is something that we have been working on for the past year and we are getting ready for the initial rollout sometime probably in the early winter. It has been a huge undertaking, but it will be well worth it.

6. A MORE ROBUST SOCIAL MARKETING TRAINING AREA.

Agreed, and coming. One thing I always want folks to be careful about, is the distraction that social marketing can be so I am going to be keeping emphasis on that.

Far too many people fail as a result of spending too much time on small social media, and not using their time wisely on social media. There is a time and a place.

7. A CASE STUDY AREA ON THE PLATFORM.

I think this would come down to whether or not someone would want to share, a lot of key studies are actually produced through the live classes and of course my two main runs of training here through getting started an affiliate boot camp are both in essence case studies.

I do feel the value of these, and if we opened it up it would probably have to be fairly exclusive as to who could add a case study and how we integrated them into the platform.

----

Thanks for your very thorough feed back here Dave, you have some great ideas and ones that are we are going to be integrating here moving forward.

Thanks, Kyle...I added yet one more above (now there are 8 ideas/suggestions)...OK, that is the LAST one hehe...

I just purchased a tool for automating the building of emails for my email campaigns. Truthfully it was needed because I have German, Thailand, Chinese, and Tagalog first language people working with us now...

This tool provides a level of competency for what we create for customers, and for me personally, it is a quicker method of spell checking!

You plug in replies for the different elements of an email or campaign, and when you are done, it spits out the entire campaign for you!

At that point, you can directly communicate with your email responder provider to load them up to whatever list you may be working with...

This is another pie in the sky thing for WA, I know, but is a really useful automation tool that is going to pay for itself over and over again within a short period of time...

I think it would be as useful for members here too. The reason is that you have people from all over the globe who are learning how to successfully build an affiliate marketing business.

Members quite naturally will all have different levels of competency when it comes to a command of the English language and the requisite writing skills.

This tool levels the playing field to a large degree...

I do understand the need to keep members focused on the basics of affiliate marketing, it can be easy to gloss over or skip these to get to the really cool things (or things that look cool)...

Cheers and on to other things, the day is well underway over here in Dubai!

In fact, I like this way of improving things for WA. We are really a community so I would say my piece.
This is for the improvement of the site comment and feedback.
There were times when I read the feedback and was not able to answer and I left for other things then come back and was not able to find it.

Just this week a notification is in my email that someone has a feedback in one of my sites. I went to it but I did not immediately answer. Until this time I cannot find it even though I go back to my email and click the link it does not show up.

I noticed that the feedbacks are randomly arranged, they are mixed together and you don't know where to find the latest one that you have not yet answered.

Can it be designed that the feedbacks and comments are arranged according to dates and the latest one should always be on the top so you know where you are in case you need to respond to someone?

Thank you very much.

Looking forward to these new launches with big excitement! :-D What i do miss and would like is more "one on one coaching" A mentor from one or two persons with long experience that knows the business and had huge success with years of experience. Who follows your work/websites and who you can ask a quick question to in a chat or skype or something like that so you dont have to wait.

(Of course nobody should do the work for you)

An example: You run a coulpe of websites for months and little traffic, little sales or NO sales, and you really need help or personal tips of what works or not, so you dont have to "try" everything wondering if it will work. That takes time and energy, and NOBODY here wants to fail. At least thats my biggest fear here.

The chat heres is great but sometimes you get 5 different answers to stuff and that could be confusing sometimes as a newbie. Often you have to search for answers in "help search" or google it, and that takes time sometime.

Overall the training is great here at WA and has amazing content, dont get me wrong on this guys! :-D

Thanx a billion Kyle and Carson for this oppurtunity to be a whealthy affiliate marketer!!

The thing is that sometimes there is 5 actual answers to a simple question and 5 different ways to do things. You do have the ability to communicate with everyone here at WA and the community approach help leads to much more efficient help (and as you are finding, a wide variety of ideas).

Of course you have access to us directly and you can PM anyone here within the platform if you ever do need a hand with anything at all moving forward. :)

What we are going to be focusing on is more streamlined help, so this is exactly on par with what you are saying here and this is definitely going to be a focus.

What you asked for here is perfect because it is something that I thought I was paying for. Then soon after I started, my questions weren't getting answered at all or I was getting "ideas" from those that had just started. This made it so I had to go out of WA and get my answers but I had to pay to get them which doesn't seem quite fair especially at $49 bucks a month. Don't forget there are tons of people out there who are great at helping once you get through training here and you're finding you do need some of those answers about traffic? I was getting no traffic here at all except for the one for two site exchanges? I was giving quality references and getting crap back so it gets frustrating I know. $49 a month is fairly steep compared to what I'm getting away from here. get in touch with me if you ever want some names! i think what @renelmiller is saying below pretty much sums it up. It shouldn't be the case that some of us have to go outside of WA in case you get stuck with no traffic or sales, unfortuanlly i have seen many people here that are completely stuck att those things, thats very bad i think. A good examole is to get an answer from another "newbie" with just an idea or a guess, thats frustrating sometimes. I also know that 5 answers can be a solution, but also confusing. So for the 49 bucks you should get what you need instead of going outside of WA and actually pay another source. I really hope i dont have to do that.

What sort of learning specifically would you request. We do allow you to "Ignore Always" on certain terms that you want to allow, but if there are other things that you want we can definitely do it. There is nothing we can't do, so feel free to request anything you like. )

The ignore once and always option works as advertised and I'm happy with that.

When we make a change in the suggestion box, will grammar check remember that afterward or for that article?

The other thing I can think of that can be improved is the spelling check. I feel that it can catch more spelling errors.

I DO like Site Content so far. I use it to write my posts and would recommend WA users to do their writing there. :)
