I got a surprise shock yesterday when I saw on my notifications on Facebook that they removed a post of mine that linked directly to my website which was a new article on my we

Happened to me multiple times. Create a group and spam them there instead. Just Joking. Yes but create a group and invite them from the page and then you can do those kinds of links.

Please check to see if it is from Facebook and has been removed. It could have been a spam message.

Also, it is good to update yourself on their community standards.

No, it was removed as I actually checked that and I issued an appeal on that. My post was not spam and is the same as my other posts. Makes no sense

It is Facebook not you that decides what is spam which is the danger of using third party platforms

I get that, but it makes no sense since all of my other posts were done in the same way and linked to informative and helpful content on my website and never had any issues. Crazy considering they allow scammers to post stuff on their platform, but you are right, it is a 3rd party platform and nothing I can do about that except maybe to look elsewhere.
