I enjoy making walk through videos as compared to writing a blog post, so i want to know if I only use videos in my blog with only little writing can i still get ranked on sear
I think a mixture of both is preferred. I also think that the videos need to be uploaded to YouTube in the first place as YouTube is owned by Google.
Suggestion: Google can't read videos. There is nothing wrong with having videos as long as you have transcribe your headings and videos for seo ranking purposes. Just a suggestion.
I wish I could master the video-thingy --- I'd do a lot of my blogs that way. But the expense to set it up myself is out, and I have tried a couple of DIY setups with no real results. I say kudos to you
Today I know younger people would far rather watch a video than read, so I think a mix is good. I guess they still need something to click on.
This is very much a personal viewpoint but I find that by the time I have watched a video to the end I've forgotten what happened at the beginning or the important information from a point made in the middle of the video has been lost by the time the end comes.
For me the written word allows me quick access to sentences or paragraphs at any stage to refer back to easily.
Hope this makes sense!
Colin
How would you generate traffic to a page without text? Think practically, you put your nice videos there and who is going to find them? I had a similar idea in mind but I feel it is useless. What
uncleyeti writes (about video in text) is not what you want.
Absolutely. I don't think it matters which way you go except that video is so popular these days it might be easier to hold you audience with the spoken word. I've been told over and over in recent months that it is almost essential to sprinkle video in with text. Anything that has to be explained, such as instructional tasks should also be accompanied by the written word so it is easier to comprehend for some, but video is king in my opinion. Almost every so called guru teaching you how to make money does both in their presentations. That's all I have to say about that.
Look at WA training....great when done both ways. Keep your targeted audience in mind...what would THEY want?
I would honestly still write posts around 500 words or so. That's what I do, I always add videos or music to my blog posts to add a bit more life to them. It's important to add content because content is a huge ranking factor for google, plus you need to have your main keyword two or three times in the post. Even 300-400 words would probably be okay, but the internet is turning more to videos now for new information. People and search engines just need good content they can read, no easy way around that really. By the way, do you have your own YouTube channel? Do you have many views/uploads? I'm only wondering because I'd like to eventually learn about how to videos to go "viral" as they say on YouTube. Any suggestions or hints on that would be greatly appreciated! That is, if you know what you're doing when it comes to videos and YouTube. Haha.

In my Google Webmaster Tool, Within Search Appearance, Inside Structured data, I have 15 items with Errors, When I look into it it shows the error as shown below.
/how-to
Don't worry about the 'missing author' and 'missing update' error. IGNORE.otherwise you drive yourself crazy and waste a lot of time.
In short. The hatom file is a structured data thing not NEVER worked and is absolutely useless.
John
yes, this is what I will do, ignore it, anything which is not causing any harm, it is better to ignore them, but its little annoying when we see it with lots of red signs showing error for every post and page
Wow, I logged into Google Webmasters today and got the same errors. first time I have seen them. I too use an author on all my pages.
Steve has an answer to that, go to the link and look into the post, and it seems like a normal issue for Wordpress sites
Has nothing to do with the 'author' you use on all pages. It's simply an outdated Google dingy that never worked
This is very common and I don't believe it affects your ranking but here is a resource you can look at to try to solve it.

When I copy any blogposts from within Wealthy Affiliate to Facebook i always see a profile picture of the person who created the post, is there a way to change these Images.
I t
Although it gives you credit through your affiliate link it also gives the author credit and will appear with the authors profile picture
When I posted a blog from Kyle's Profile it displayed the Image from the blogpost and when I tried it with other users(only 2-3 users in this case) it displays their profile picture. What you are saying is correct I guess
